This is fantastic property - a great location in a great town. Only a block away from downtown but still a neighborhood feel - and the beach is close by. Clean, spacious, and perfect for our family's stay. We've stayed at many different places in Grand Haven over the years and this was one of the best!

Great Location and Communication

The location was great - walkable to downtown and the beach, but not too noisy at night (for my family of 4). Eric was very responsive to communication when needed at check-in. We also found the decor in the place to be more child-friendly (less cluttered) than pictured, which we appreciated. However, there did seem to be some spots in the shower/bathroom that need a deeper cleaning (see photos).

Weekend visit

Parents weekend at GVSU and decided to stay in Grand Haven instead of Grand Rapids. Great location to walk to dinners and a walk to the pier for sunset. Place was clean, cute and had everything thing we needed. Loved it.

Great Location & Family Friendly

Hang Your Hat was the perfect stay for our family of three. It is super close to local shops, restaurants, and of course the beach. We walked to a lot of local spots including the Grand Haven Musical Fountain. We really enjoyed the property and being able to enjoy the area without a bunch of driving.

Ideal Grand Haven Stay

We weren’t sure how being this close to the action downtown would be noise wise, but it was perfect. Minimal street noise and the location of the bedrooms also made for great sleep. We both agree that this place had one of the most comfy beds we have slept in at a VRBO! We appreciated the reasonable and quick checkout expectations. We’d book again, for sure!

Great Location

We stayed in the upper Unit. Loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the weather! Location to everything was great. Biked and walked a lot. Unit was clean and had what we needed. Beds were comfy and great kitchen table for playing games.

Amazing location!

The house is in the perfect location! So close to everywhere we wanted to walk to, shops, restaurants, ice cream & the musical fountain. Short drive to the beach. This was our first trip to Grand Haven & we would definitely stay here again.

Another Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time at HYH! We've been coming here for years. It's really a great place to stay. It's charming, in a great location, and within walking distance to our favorite places. Eric gave us all the info we needed and was easy to get a hold of. We look forward to coming back next year. We highly recommend HYH.

Hang our hats

We were able to work remotely via the wifi for the week. Well stocked with everything we needed minus just a coffee bean grinder. Front deck was always shady. Really loved the location. 1 block from downtown and 1 block to the channel leading to the pier and Lake Michigan.

Great spot

Really thoughtful accommodations, everything you could possibly need is there. Cute apartment-French theme-comfy beds and great balcony. Location is right by downtown-very convenient for walking. We had a great stay!

The perfect place for a fall trip

My family and I could not be happier with our time at Hang Your Hat. The unit itself was beautiful, with plenty of windows to let in natural light and a breeze. We spent much of our time on the front balcony overlooking the street below, which was a perfect place to enjoy a fall afternoon. The location was ideal -- we could be at the restaurants and shops of downtown Grand Haven in a matter of minutes, or be right on the river boardwalk to get to the lighthouse or beach. Grand Haven never disappoints, but without a doubt this was the most impressive place we stayed.

Great location

Great location with just about everything within walking distance. The owner was very nice and responsive. The apartment had almost every supply you would need except for beach equipment. My fault for not realizing there wasn’t any beach equipment in the property description. I assumed there would be at least beach towels in a beach town rental. Flying in from out of state, it was difficult to deal with no beach towels, cooler, chair, etc. I bought a few things there and donated my beach chair to the rental so hopefully it comes in handy for someone else. I really enjoyed my time there otherwise but because I am a huge beach/outdoors person, I would probably research other places that are more beach friendly. But for those that want to be downtown and shop, etc. you will really love it.

Great location

We had a lovely stay with our kids. Great location able to walk to shopping and restaurants and a fun playground for the kids. We enjoyed having meals on the balcony and the musical fountain was a short walk as well. We chose to drive to the beach at the state park but you could walk. Overall we had a great time!
