This place was quaint and nostalgic. Reminded me of my parent's cottage growing up. It was clean and well furnished. We love the front porch area and spent most of our time there eating, playing games and just enjoying tbe view. Would love to stay here again.
Website needs some updates. Not all of the amenities were in the cabin. Not all of the lights or outlets worked. The stove door was missing handles. Outside area and beach were very good.

Extremely overpriced for the quality of the home, linens and towels. Should be listed as extremely rustic. The oven didn’t even have a handle on the oven door! No clearly marked driveway with weeds and brush as landscaping.
Our family loved the beach, fishing and 3 season porch. When I looked at the layout of the rooms, I thought there was a room with 2 double beds. Our family of 7 made it work. There were a few minor repair issues...the oven need handle and screen door needs repair.
Overall we all had a great time and want to book a week next summer.
Pictures DID NOT match the cabin we stayed in. I was horrified that my family and I had to stay there. I have been coming to this same lake for all my life and NEVER have I paid so much for such a horrible experience!!

Rustic at a premium price.
Very lacking: old cabin with open, uninsulated ceiling; no privacy between rooms; ungrounded power outlets (not good for electronics); many light gage extension cords in use (fire hazard?); small, flimsy shower; laptop size TV; no dishwasher; no washer/dryer; no parking area (park on lawn); small (less than 4 feet) beach area; mucky lake bottom within 20 feet (knee deep); lost well water for 2 days, had to find motel room; owner even took grandkids' rocks brought from Lake Michigan.

Steve,
In my line of work, communication is key. This property is listed as an original style cabin and it is seasonal- meaning that it gets shut down in colder months because its seasonal( not insulated for winter months). The pictures closely show its orignal like style so that should have been pretty clear. It slaos states in the aemnities section there is no laundry on site. We cannot forsee a blown fuse at a property, like happened here but was an easy next day fix. We also comped you for the one day there was no water. If you want updated, luxury type property, than you are correct, this property is not for you. Those are key words that you should look for going forward when booking in the future. Our guests have always liked the cottages original-ness.

We visited this property as a family (my wife and I, along with our kids - 13, 6, and 5 months). The water was perfect and provided hours of entertainment for our energetic kiddos. The cabin itself, however, could use a bit more attention. It was advertised as "rustic"; however, it was a bit more rundown than we were anticipating. The kitchen, bathroom, and shower were all quite small - making bathing and cooking difficult - and the walls don't extend up to the ceiling - allowing for little privacy. Given the state of the property, it seems a bit overpriced. We have stayed at nicer places on the shore for less money. Would likely not return to this location.
The cabin was just as it was listed, cozy and comfortable. We cooked in most nights and had pretty much everything that we needed. The beds were nice and we all slept well. Our favorite spot was on the enclosed porch. We ate dinner there every night and lounged there during the day when we weren't outside. The water was calm and warm and we had fun fishing from the dock. Lots of fun on the paddle boat and the pontoon (thank you Michelle). We had a very positive experiance in town at the local grocery store (Roger's), Marty's Pizza and Grill, and the Tasty Treat for some delicious ice cream, and lots of fun at the (new?) Mini Golf place. All in all, it was exactly what we were looking for!

I was extremely grateful that this place showed up while searching ! We we're looking for a little getaway from working 6-7 days a week & FOUND IT. The location, sandy beach, clean house, friendly neighborhood & the peacefulness. Honest description of what to expect & the property mgt. is AMAZING, We'll definitely be back !!
We had a great time. Fishing, swimming, boating. We didn't know it was 90° F, we were in/near the water. Cabin is clean and well stocked. Just what we wanted, thanks.

We’re glad you had a good stay and you can return someday!
Perfect for what we were looking for. Quiet spot we could tie some inner tubes up to the dock and enjoy the sun for a few days. Took advantage of the paddle boat one day, charcoal grill, and bonfire pit. Beautiful sunrises. Plenty of room to spread out in the cabin for a small group of people. Well-stocked kitchen regarding pans, pots, plates, glasses and utensils.
Overall, had a great time. Owner was responsive with questions and we felt the location was well-maintained.
Not sure why this VRBO app does not differentiate between an inquiry and an actual reservation. We never stayed at this property. It appears to be a decent cabin, but did not suit our needs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The view is beautiful. The lake has a sand bottom and is super clear. Because it is not really deep it is not that cold in late June either. We enjoyed the kayak and stand up paddle board as well as being able to cook out on the charcoal grill every night. This was a great vacation spot.
