We absolutely loved this house. So comfortable and lovely. We particularly appreciated that cabinets and shelves were labeled, so we didn't have to do a lot of guesswork about where to find things. My husband and I liked the master suite, especially that the room has a day bed that our daughter slept on. My parents joined us for this vacation and they slept very comfortably as well. The house has a brand new grill, new patio table, and the deck is a great space for gathering for dinners; we had some friends over who were also staying in the area, and we were all able to fit at the table outside. The yard is large and great for kiddos to run around. The house is right off of Red Arrow Highway, but it feels far from the sometimes busy road. It is very close to a fruit market, a meat market, ice cream and hot dog stand, as well as Captain Mike's Fun Park. This house has two washers and dryers! That's awesome especially when staying with family and spending a lot of time at the beach. My only suggestion is that the concrete threshhold between the basement entry and the laundry area get painted bright yellow so it can be better seen; My mom and I both tripped on it, and I stubbed my toe on it once. We really enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend it.
Cute place with plenty of space
We stayed here for a girls weekend of wine tasting. The house is really cute with great style in decorations. The location is really convenient with some great shops right around the corner. They had everything we needed at the house. Jenna was quick to respond to all of my questions. We are now just looking for a chance to go back.
Awesome retro home
We're so glad we chose this home. The location was perfect, the home was super clean and the beds were so comfortable. So many details were there for our comfort. We will be renting from Jenna again soon! The home made our stay!
Perfect and exactly what I needed!
We rented this for a bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect. The house was clean, organized, updated, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. The location is so convenient and about a 10 minute drive from whatever you want to do. I will absolutely rent this cute house again next time we are up here.
Perfect for a late fall retreat!
I always take note of how responsive an owner is when I am trying to book a VRBO home---Jenna was always prompt and thorough, before and after I booked her delightful home. This home is as nice as shown in the photos - calming interior, midcentury finishes, very neat and I didn't have to shop for basics. The kitchen is charming, and the bathrooms were updated. I also liked how sunny the home was, plenty of windows and a nice deck, although we did not use it.
Because of allergies, I really appreciated the flooring (very little carpet, except for area rugs). We only had two cars but there is sufficient parking if more space was needed. And the location was great-easy to find, near Red Arrow but very quiet.
One good feature is the additional den near the master, gives guests another option for relaxing or reading quietly. This was a pleasant trip; I hope to visit again!
Beautiful Property - Great Location
As advertised, the house was the closest property to the entrance to the Warren Dunes State Park. Also, right off the Red Arrow Highway so it was easy for us to get to St. Joe's and New Buffalo. The house was spacious, lots of rooms to sit in and space for the boys to play, plenty of light, and our boys loved the big backyard and long driveway.
