Our San Diego Beach House is an amazing beach home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms located on the first, second, and third floor of a duplex with views of the South Mission Beach Jetty and Ocean Beach across the Mission Bay Channel.
Located near the protected south end of Mission Beach, this beautiful home offers an expansive, private outdoor rooftop deck with 360 degree views of San Diego and 1,600 square feet for cooking bar-be-cue, sitting at the high-chaired rooftop bar, lounging in the hammock and outdoor sofas or sunbathing in seclusion. The second floor balcony with its custom-made bar-tops and high seats, as well as small dining table, gives renters a view of the volley ball courts where teams play daily and of the Mission Bay Jetty beyond that—a perfect space for drinking coffee in the morning or sipping cold drinks in the afternoon.
The two bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor and studio-bedroom with kitchenette and full bath downstairs provides ample space for up to 10 guests to find privacy or to come together in the light-filled and generously open-spaced living room adjacent to the second floor balcony. The house is perfect for big families or multiple families staying together with kids.
Our living room features a brand new designer sofa sectional with a giant ottoman that can turn the sofa into a queen sized bed for those who want to sleep in front of the flat-screen TV. The living room along with the rest of the second floor is outfitted with luxury plank flooring and LED lighting. Adjacent to the living room, the dining area showcases a custom-made, showstopper table artistically made from reclaimed wood from the house and turquoise epoxy, and a newly installed sliding glass door that fully opens to the balcony which soaks the room with light.
The kitchen is beautifully finished with custom granite stone countertops and backsplash, a newly set deep and wide sink and designer faucet, white cabinetry, and all new stainless steel appliances.
The Master Suite provides a king bed, a private, separate balcony with a seating area, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with two sinks, two shower heads, and an 8’x5’ obscured glass window which floods the shower with natural light. The second bedroom features a queen bed and a detached bathroom right next door. The third bedroom downstairs is more like a studio with a kitchenette, a small dining table, a full bathroom, a new washer/dryer, a brand new pullout sofa with a firm mattress, and an additional queen bed. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TV's.
Sit back & enjoy water views, sail boats gracefully passing through the channel, the waves rolling in along the channel rocks, palm trees swaying to the cool ocean breeze in South Mission Park…you get the idea. For adventures rent jet skis or try parasailing, or rent rollerblades or electric scooters and travel along the boardwalk. Our house on San Luis Rey is conveniently located on the line between the surf zone and swim zone at the beach and directly behind the South Mission Beach Lifeguard tower, so your group can easily and safely take surf lessons or try boogie boarding and still stay within eyesight.
For a bit of exercise, take the less than mile walk to Belmont Park with its restaurants, live music, and games for the kids. For some calm time try walking across the street and doing some yoga on the bay—watch the gorgeous sunrise there—or seek the shade in the afternoon and bring the young kids to the playground at Mission Point. At night, you can head up to the privacy of your roof top deck to watch Sea World fireworks from the comfort of your own home (on the Fourth of July you can see the firework shows of five different locations around San Diego). Other amenities include beach sand toys, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and boogie boards.

PARKING • One parking space in front of the unit which can accommodate large SUVs and trucks (approximately 8’W x 16'D) • Additional overnight parking includes free street parking and a very short walk (100 meters) to two free overnight parking lots.
CANCELLATION | Cancellations and reschedules made by Guest may be made up to 60 days before the first day of your reservation. Cancellations or reschedules made by Guest with less than 60 days' notice will result in 100% loss of all payment.
GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
NUMBER OF GUESTS | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors). Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
CONDUCT OF GUESTS | The rental is not intended for parties, nor gatherings at any time of anyone except those who have paid to occupy the property. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed. Please inform us of any change in the number of guests before your arrival to avoid these charges. South Mission is a community with many local residents, social activities and noise should be brought inside by 10:00 pm.
ARRIVAL TIME | Check in is at 3 pm. Early arrivals may be arranged pending other reservations and the housekeeping schedule, and are strictly prohibited during the peak Summer period. Please contact us 24-48 hours prior to your arrival to make these arrangements. Unless you have specifically arranged for an early arrival time, please do not arrive at the property before your scheduled check in time.
DEPARTURE TIME | Check out is at 10 am. Your prompt departure is appreciated so we can prepare the home for any incoming guests. A one hour late departure may be arranged pending other reservations and the housekeeping schedule.
BEACH STUFF | Our house comes with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, and sand toys. Please rinse sand of toys and boards before bringing them back inside. There are hoses located at the front and the back of the unit.
AIR CONDITIONING | The unit does not have air conditioning, but all of the rooms have ceiling fans and newly installed vinyl windows with screens. The majority of homes in Mission Beach do not have air conditioning due to the mild year-round San Diego coastal climate (average approximate 65 degree year-round temperatures, with Summer averages at approximately 70 degrees).
ACCESS | Our home is accessed via a door code, and the access code is provided in a welcome email letter you’ll receive upon booking a reservation. Codes are regularly changed for your safety.
SMOKING | Smoking is strictly prohibited. Charges will be assessed for not committing to a smoke-free environment.
CLEANING SUPPLIES | We provide a starter kit of expendable cleaning supplies such as hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, & garbage bags. Please bring additional if you feel this will not be adequate. Cleaning requirements upon departure are outlined in your welcome letter.
LINENS & TOWELS | Bath towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, and beach towels are provided. DO NOT take the home's linens or bath towels outside.
UPON ARRIVAL | Take a look around the home. If there are concerns or issues with the property, please immediately contact us via text or call (leave a message if there is no answer). We aim to accommodate you but no considerations can be given unless we’re notified of problems during your stay.
EMERGENCIES/ MAINTENANCE | In the event of a problem getting in the home or if there are problems with the condition or functionality of the home, please immediately contact us (leave a voice message if there is no answer, we will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible).
SECURITY & SAFETY RISKS | When you rent the home, you assume responsibility for it and its contents, as well as your personal property. Always lock the doors and windows when you leave the home.
RESERVATION CONFIRMATION | Upon confirmation of your reservation, you will be sent a welcome letter that includes arrival instructions, driving directions, wifi info, local eats, and area attractions.
