Precis utanför "Born Free", leder skidkörningen till gondolen. Huset ligger 120 meter frÄn skidbacken och har utsikt över de magnifika Gore Range Mountains. Namngivna 'Chalet du Soleil', Àr detta charmiga hus med fyra sovrum inom bekvÀmt gÄngavstÄnd frÄn fina restauranger och butiker. Huset Àr pÄ ett stort parti. Sledding och lek i snön kan avnjutas av dem med överflödig energi efter skidÄkning. Vi erbjuder slÀdarna. Huset Àr utrustat med alla bekvÀmligheter du Àr van vid i ditt eget hem.

Huset rymmer bekvÀmt upp till tio personer. BefÀlhavaren svit har en queen size-sÀng plus bubbelbadkar för tvÄ (jacuzzi typ) och separat duschrum. Den andra vÄningen sovrummet innehÄller en queen size-sÀng, bad / dusch, och en expansiv bukt fönster. Det tredje sovrummet pÄ övervÄningen har en queen size-sÀng, tvÄ dubbla sÀngar, gott om garderobsutrymme och ett stort handfat.

Det fjÀrde sovrummet Àr faktiskt en angrÀnsande studio-lÀgenhet med king size-sÀng, kompakt kök och badrum. Alla sÀngar Àr gjorda i schweizisk stil med tÀcken, extra kuddar och strykjÀrn.

I have nothing but great things to say about Heather and the Chalet! This is the 4th summer that I've stayed at the Chalet with my wife and 4 kids, and I'm looking forward to coming back again next year. The highest praise I can give Heather and the warmth of her home is that staying here has become a core memory for our young family, and an annual tradition. There are a lot mountain homes you can rent, but you will not find one with as gracious of a host as Heather, as good of a location, or as much of warmth and love permeating the walls! After 4 reviews I have little left to say, that I haven't said in previously, but as always 5/5 stars! You won't regret staying here!

Awesome slope side house!

This was a great property just a short walk to the slopes in Lionshead. The house is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner throughout the week. The communication with the host was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Can’t beat this location!

This is a wonderful property that we enjoyed as two families. We love coming to Vail and this place made it even more enjoyable. A short walk to the end of the cul-de-sac and you’re on the slopes. It’s an older place but cozy and comfortable with everything you need. Nothing like a hard day skiing, then coming home to a warm fire and some board games with friends! Only thing missing was a big hot tub on the deck! We will definitely hope this place is available next time we are in Vail.

Perfect property and location for our two family party!

This charming property is just steps away from the ski trail to Lionshead, providing easy access to and from skiing. You can also easily walk to Lionshead and on into the main village of Vail. The house is comfortably equipped for a party of 10 and has just what you need to make your stay enjoyable. The host was super responsive in communications and clearly wants to make your stay perfect.We very much enjoyed our trip and hope to return soon.

Fabulous Snowy Christmas!

We had an amazing family Christmas/new years vacation to the chalet! The snow was coming down and the chalet was cozy, warm, and the perfect place to build memories with our family. Heather is a wonderful host and is always great at communicating.We love Vail, and the Chalet makes all the difference.

Perfect Chalet

My family stayed at the Chalet for 5 nights and loved it! The Chalet has everything you need, a exceptional fireplace, plenty of room, and close proximity to Lionshead Village. Heather is a exceptional host! I would highly recommend staying here!!

Wonderful location

Chateau du Soleil is a great rental. Fabulous location just down from the slopes. We had a large group and it was the perfect mix of multiple bedrooms for privacy, but a large living area where we could all hang out. And Heather is great to help with anything you need. Highly recommend!

Sufficient space, amazing fire place and exclient proxcimity to the slopes.

The home is a great place to share with friends and family. You can walk to both lion head and Vail villages. I would recommend the home to anyone.

Great accommodations and ultra convenient location!

Heather was a pleasure to deal with and made sure that we had everything for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a crockpot which was perfect to prepare a warm meal for the end of great day skiing. I will definitely be contacting Heather for future ski trips to Vail. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their stay and can't wait to go back.

Great skiing

This cabin was great for our family and the walking distance to the slope for skiing is the best. Classic wood cabin with a super fireplace. Heather is great and helpful. We will Be back!!

Fantastic Ski Location

The property was perfect for our family and friends to enjoy a Christmas ski vacation. Just steps to the gondola in Lionshead with a cozy atmosphere and wonderful wood burning fireplace to return to after a long day of skiing. Kitchen was well equipped and Heather, the hostess, was fantastic to communicate with. We will totally be renting again in the future.

The chalet was nice, clean, comfortable, very nice location, easy walk/bike to Lionshead, the Gondola, Gore Creek, etc. The property manager was easy to communicate with and responsive. We would go back again.

Wonderful Skiing Vacation

This was a wonderful house in a great location to the mountain and the village. Owners were wonderful to work with. There for anything I needed. It was a true pleasure. House had everything we needed and more. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

This is a family-run business. Thea Rumford and daughter, Heather Kehoe, manage this beautiful mountain home. The photo is of Heather and Thea on the deck of the Chalet in the summertime.
Fred and Thea Rumford have owned this charming mountain home since 1966 when it was built as a weekend getaway for their family. Skiing is a large part of their lives. They have raised their children to grow up with a tremendous appreciation for the alpine lifestyle. They take great joy in now seeing their grandchildren follow in the ski tracks of their parents.
Thea says, 'The character of Chalet du Soleil is incomparable and is sure to please.'
The Rumfords also take pride in upgrading and maintaining their beautiful home each year.
