Sycamore Guesthouse, steps to Journeyman Distillery!

Sycamore Guesthouse, where contemporary furnishings meet within a restored 1880's Victorian home with all modern conveniences for today's needs. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with fully tiled Euro showers. Beds are Queen Luxury Firm Plush mattresses & quality bedding set upon modern upholstered platform beds. There are 6 queen beds, 2 full/double beds, 2 twin airbeds and 1 pack-n-play crib giving room for 14 adults + children. Just across the street from Journeyman Distillery. We offer your group 5+ bedrooms & 5-1/2 private baths. The covered wrap-around porch is the perfect place to see and be seen as we are located in the heart of Three Oaks Village. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped for most every cooking / preparation needs. We also offer an outdoor gas grill, yard & fire pit (available May-October & we do not supply firewood.) 5 outdoor security cameras (2 on porch, 1 at garage and 2 in yard) and video doorbell are dis-armed during your stay.

Friendcation

Had a total of 5 couples. Worked out perfectly. 5 bedroom each with their own private bathroom. Nice living room and kitchen areas. Nice wrap around porch to enjoy the evening. Distillery right across the street and a coffee shot a half block down.

Our stay was absolutely amazing, we all loved the house and how accommodating it was for all of us. Such a beautiful home as well. The location was wondering, walking distance to so many places, and only a 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan beaches. I would recommend this house to everyone.

Great stay

This place was great. Beautiful Victorian house in great condition. Right across the street from the distillery. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Ideal Location in a Quaint Town

We had 10 adults and 1 child. Upon arrival, the property manager was there to greet our group and to give us some additional info. This house easily accommodated our group. The porch area was an added bonus. Our group sat on the porch a lot and played games. The kitchen was spacious enough for ease in cooking for our group. The dining table was also able to accommodate all of us for dinner each night (and to play games). We needed a small repair at the house and contacted the property manager. He was there PROMPTLY to address the issue. He was very personable and friendly. The location of the house was ideal. You could walk anywhere in town. And the town itself is ideally located. You could drive short distances and see a varitey of other towns and sites. We were all pleased with this house and this town and would definitely return.

Awesome house, awesome location, awesome owners!

We stayed for a family wedding at Journeymen. We were the very closest to the event than anyone else in our party. Power went out during the event for the whole village. The home owners actually bought flashlights and lanterns and placed them in the house for us so when we came home we could see where we were going. So thoughtful. House is great, so many amenities. Would recommend to anyone coming to Three Oaks for anything but especially something at Journeymen as we were closer than the wedding party.

July 4 holiday

Very nice place and very pleasant stay. The house was beautiful and the porch was very nice to use. It was right on the main street of town, so traffic noise was a bit much at times, but also very convenient to walk around downtown and enjoy the area.

Lovely little house

We utilized this this property close to Journeyman Distillery for a corporate retreat, and it was everything our team needed for their stay. Check in was easy, the house was clean, and provided the amenities to make their time enjoyable. We'll definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Sycamore house during the weekend of my son’s wedding . The house was very clean and the layout of the house worked well with the various ages of the guests It was especially helpful thet each bedroom had a bathroom and tv. So convenient for Journeymen . Perfect weekend getaway

We loved the Sycamore house, it was perfect for a fall getaway with friends! The set up was perfect, every bedroom had a bathroom, had a well stocked kitchen and a cute little downtown to explore. I highly recommend the Sycamore House, we will be back!

Perfect wedding stay!

Bachelorette weekend

I have stayed at many rental properties and this was by far was the cleanest I have ever stayed at. It was in the perfect location and each room had its own bathroom. It truly could not have been more perfect! Oh and safe!!

The perfect Michigan getaway!

There were 13 of us- 8 adults and 5 children four years old and younger! And all family!!!! Two lucky parents, three sons, three daughters in law and their respective children! The house accommodated all of us very easily! Ron was very easy to reach and responsive when we needed to ask him a question. The house was clean, well kept, and the perfect location! We enjoyed walking to town, parks and driving short distances to the beach and blueberry picking.

Nice stay, very responsive hosts!

The property is just as described, clean and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly responsive, both to a question at check in and later when the wifi had an issue. My extended family does an annual trip to this general area in Michigan but we hadn't stayed in this specific town before. We really liked it - nice town but a bit more lowkey than other towns in a good way - and the house is in a great location in the town.

Family Reunion

This property was perfect for our family! Having so many bathrooms was great for our multi-generation family reunion. The kitchen was well appointed and the location was very convenient for getting around to all our favorite spots in the area.

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a girls weekend at this house in Three Oaks and it was perfect. It is a beautiful old house that is brilliantly designed for groups. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the dining room, kitchen and deck were perfect for when the whole group wanted to gather. Plus, it is an easy walk to everything in town. The hosts were very responsive and we had a great weekend!

Ken and Ron opened the first B&B (Three Oaks Inn) in the Village of Three Oaks in 2011 and quickly identified a need for additional fine lodging within the downtown area of Three Oaks, Village. We brought in Ron's brother to partner with us to create the Sycamore Guesthouse, a luxury guesthouse. Ken grew up in the area and ran his parents retail store for a decade prior to opening Three Oaks Inn with Ron. Ken is also a licensed massage therapist and practices out of the Three Oaks Inn. Mario and Ron are local Real Estate Agents (each their 2nd career after leaving Illinois for Michigan.) They grew up in Chicago and visited the area since childhood. Originally drawn to the lakefront, Ron settled in Three Oaks and set upon his goals of opening a luxury B&B. He's never looked back and continues to grow their lodging business.

Each bedroom has a private bathroom (Total of 5+ bedrooms / 5-1/2 bathrooms) and we are just across the street from Journeyman Distillery. We run a tight ship and you'll find no other vacation rental as well maintained or with as many private bathrooms. We were approached by the owner back in 2015 who declared that if anyone in town could make something of the property, it was us. We embarked on a long journey and created a luxury property for singles, couples, families and groups where they can create their own memories that will last a lifetime.
