About Tracy

Jolene and Tracy are both native Tucsonans. Tracy grew up on a small horse ranch in the Tucson Mountains about a mile from the Saguaro Ranch Hideaway. We both love the outdoors especially the Sonoran Desert

Tracy started working construction right out of high school, using the hands on skills and common knowledge he learned as a kid working around the ranch to move up thorough the ranks. In 1996 he started his own contracting and development company. He has an intimate knowledge of Tucson and sounding areas.

Jolene grew up on the eastside of Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. She loved spending her youth hiking and camping around southern Arizona with her family.

Let us show you around and introduce you to Tucson!

Tracy purchased this villa in 2005

Why Tracy chose Tucson & Southern Arizona

The Tucson Mountains were developed with low density in mind. There are very few properties smaller than 3 acres therefore the traffic is considerably less and the wildlife more abundant due to the low impact.

Guestbook comments from the owner

There is no way to "over sell" this place, I'm sick that we have to go...best vacation rental we have ever stayed in!

Awesome place to enjoy the Sonoran desert

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed at this lovely guest house in April. The house is lovely and sits on a quiet piece of property near Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park. We enjoyed mountain biking and hiking at the nearby Sweetwater Preserve as well as Tucson Mountain Park, and the birds were great. Both around the property and nearby. It's a short drive in to town, but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.

Great casita with awesome desert view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed our time in this lovely casita surrounded by saguaros.......and relaxing in the hot tub under the starry sky added a pleasant romantic touch! The owners of this guesthouse that is located adjacent to their home are available to assist you but definitely respect your privacy during your stay. The views of the foothills from the patio that surrounds much of the property are incredible! Albertson's grocery store is a ten minute drive away to conveniently stock the kitchen and DVD rental is offered there too. Sabino Canyon and Mt. Lemmon are a short drive away, too. We were looking for a peaceful, private getaway for relaxation that was also a convenient drive to some of Tucson's nature attractions and this casita was a great find for us!

Saguaro Casita visit, Sept 25-30, 2015

  • 5 of 5

Not your average desert cabin, this house is a first class desert getaway with very comfortable home-style furnishings. The casita was designed to open out to the surrounding desert landscape with numerous large windows and doors to enjoy different aspects to the sun (or shade) and views of the desert scenery from inside or on the surrounding patios. We found the house to be beautiful, well-maintained, and secure in its location at the end of the road and adjacent to the owners house. We also immensely enjoyed the quiet, undisturbed setting, and the short drive to stunning desert hiking and the amazing Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum.

Relaxing in the Casita

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our 18 month old son stayed at the Casita for a week this past December and enjoyed it immensely. The Casita was spacious and private, with gorgeous desert views, visiting wildlife, a comfortable hot tub and hiking near by. We spent the days hiking, enjoyed the desert museum and several local restaurants. Often we would cook and eat at home, enjoying the sunsets over a glass of wine. I can confirm that the charcoal grill works fine as we spent an afternoon smoking ribs and watching college football. The owners graciously provided a pack-and-play for our son--they live next door and were readily available by phone. It was a peaceful and private place to relax for our family, we can recommend it without reservation.

Owner's Response: I must admit I was pretty proud of myself for coming up with a "pack and plat" I had no idea what that was and had never heard of if, now I hear about them all the time. We are very happy that all worked out. Thanks for staying with us!

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time in Tucson, this casita was great! The hot tub and stars at night were so relaxing. We saw lots of wildlife, and enjoyed going for walks in the neighborhood. I wish there had been more birds around, but we will just have to come back in the spring. Be on the lookout for Agent M, the local desert tortoise who keeps an eye on the place.

Excellent Casita!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a week this Spring and loved every minute. We chose it because of the great hiking in the area and it did not disappoint! We hiked for miles everyday right out the back door!

The casita itself is nicely equipped with everything you may need, just add groceries. Great A/C and internet connection.

Tracy and Jolene are extremely nice people and are available by phone at all times. Tracy will also point you in the right direction for hiking.

We plan to return again and again! Thanks guys!!

Owner's Response: We are sure glad you had a good time!, The Tucson mountains on the West side of town are often forgotten about or over shadowed by the Catalina's. We are partial to them because there is so much, so close, and much more of an intimate setting, Thanks for staying with us!
