Erica was an excellent host in all aspects of our stay including communication, answering questions and providing very useful info. She was very responsive to all of our needs in terms of using the property. It is clear and obvious that she works hard and takes great pride in her property. The home is ideally located in the heart of Tucson, blocks from the U of A campus. Our host, Erica, was very gracious, welcoming and offered recommendations on key points of interest and cultural events. The historic home has charm and character, without being pretentious. The outdoor courtyard and patio areas provided for pleasant relaxation in a garden sanctuary. Exceeded our expectations.

This home is jammed packed with everything you could possibly need for cooking and hosting, relaxing and enjoying your time with loved ones. Its location is safe and snug near some of downtownTucson's most exciting attractions! For the size of the home and its natural southwestern beauty and all of its super cozy furnishings this house is totally worth the price! Thank you so much so such a lovely stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We needed to get some work done on a property we own in town. Staying at this VRBO was such a treat. Great to end each of our work days in this beautiful, quiet retreat. Erica was very gracious and communicative throughout our stay. Will book again!

Erica's communication was seamless. Simple details like the personalized scrabble memo's Erica left for our family in each room was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I appreciated the popular eateries and Things to do around town that Erica provided as well. This home was more than I expected and the energy that filled it is exactly what my soul needed. Moreover, the amenities (AC, full kitchen, washer/dryer) furnishings, decor, books, etc added to the timeless atmosphere which made our stay too comfortable. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to enjoying this special home again or exploring one of Erica's other rentals. Mahalo Erica!

Great spot in Sam Hughes area or Tucson

This is a nice cozy unit in a great area of Tucson. You are walking distance to the University and have access to a lot of amenities within a short walk/drive. Erica is an awesome host who provides lots of local area content and is readily available to answer questions or help with any issues that crop up. We will look to stay here again next time we are in Tucson.

We loved our stay. The house was just as advertised with personal touches just for us. There were fresh flowers too! The bedding was so luxurious and bath towels so fluffy. Walking distance to campus!

Anniversary Getaway

Erica made us feel right at home in this 1920 pueblo. The home was very clean, full of charm and was fully stocked for our stay. She added personal touches that made our getaway even more special. We highly recommend this little home - we'd love to come back sometime and enjoy it all over again.

This was such a wonderful stay for us! Our daughter was having knee surgery and we wanted to be close, since we live a distance away. This home was clean, cool, well stocked, convenient location to everything, thoughtfully arranged for guest comfort, loaded with little notes and gifts and special treats, comfortable, and completely welcoming. Erica was a fabulous, responsive, generous host. She has her roots in Tucson and knows the area well. The kitchen is stocked with every appliance, cookware, utensil, serving bowl, toaster oven, even a Kitchen Aid! You name it, it was there! We were blown away. It's like walking into a home you own! Erica is the BEST! We loved her and her kind and gentle demeanor. If you want a great place to stay, this is it!

We had a great stay with Erica. The house is in a great location and absolutely adorable. The outdoor seating is great, if the weather was cooler we would have spent a lot of time there. There was unfortunately an issue with the refrigerator, but I assume this is a one-off as it was a new refrigerator. Overall it was a great spot for our family!

All the reviews on this place were spot on! This place was perfect! The yard to just relax it was a bonus! The host was on top of all communication. I am so picky when it comes to beds and this one was so comfy I fell right to sleep. We will be staying again!!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic location - very close to the University. I was worried about a historic home in Arizona in August but the air conditioning was super cold. Everything was perfect. We will definitely try to stay at this location again in the future.

An entrepreneur by nature, I have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that a self directed path can provide. I have loved to travel and annually embark upon both a beach vacation and an exotic destination in a far away continent - you will find exotic mementos from my travels adorn Villa BlancaMariposa and inspire the eclectic sampling of the world within. Growing up in Tucson in this very property, I wanted to name my special bungalow to honor my connection to my mother, my family and the heritage of the house, hence the name Villa Blanca which means white house - where my friends said I lived as a kid. While home in Tucson, I love to landscape, You will see me working on my properties tending to the mesquite trees, Peruvian apple cactus a native willow or assisting guests at Villa Blanca and other homes. I have always enjoyed cooking - entertaining friends and family and hosting many social events, and look forward to hosting you during your stay in Tucson!

My parents were renting the carriage house house in the 1960's while attending the University of Arizona. Reading an ad in the paper the original owners of Villa Blanca - had listed it for sale - it turned out to be my parents landlords - who enjoyed the young couple so - and sold it to my parents over another buyer. With the assistance of my Grandmother for a down payment, My mother and father moved to the front house and raised us girls - in 2010 Villa Blanca passed through the generations from my grandmother, mother and sister to my self - for me to share with you as Villa Blanca.

I love Villa Blanca with all of my heart - it is a beautiful home full of warmth and truly does hold every memory in life - Christmas trees, Easter bunnies, Thanksgiving Dinners, watching sesame street while laying on the living room floor, cartwheels in the front yard - giggling with friends - walking to school - having breakfast at Rincon market, bicycling to the UofA. Now it's your turn to make some memories and experience the warmth and love of a family home known as Villa Blanca.
