Colby’s Run

Situated on a hill overlooking the stupendous spread of Beverly Beach, with panoramic views south to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and north to Cape Foulweather, Colby’s Run promises a memorable and refreshing stay at the beach. Leather furnishings, floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows, a telescope, flat-screen TV and gas fireplace grace the relaxing great room. Luxurious amenities such as granite countertops and stainless appliances make the kitchen a joy—and you might see fights over who gets to do the dishes from the ocean-view sink! A grand king master suite on the second floor has floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows and a luxurious bath with both walk-in shower and jetted tub (with it’s own ocean view!). The other bedrooms are equally lovely, and each has its own TV. Things are just as ideal outdoors, with a fenced, pet-friendly yard, gas barbecue and a private deck with an ocean-view hot tub. What are you waiting for? This wonderful home is the perfect spot for friends and family to experience comfort and rejuvenation from an outstanding location where the ocean is ever present!

The views from the big picture windiws are breathtaking. The house was clean and tidy. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you would need. Beds were cozy and comfortable. Our pups really liked the fully fenced yard.And we truly enjoyed our stay at Colby's Run.

Great views, comfortable stay!

We enjoyed this home very much. Great view of the ocean, hot tub and jacuzzi tub were nice “spoiling extras,” clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable master bedroom bed. The house is on the East side of the highway (we knew this - clearly shows in description) which didn’t bother us at all, we expected some road noise. We may be back to this one!

Had a great time at the house only drawback was that the hot tub wasn’t working. Property manager let us know there was a chance it might not be fixed in time and unfortunately wasn’t.

Beach fun

We had a great experience. The views were amazing and the location was great. The amenities were great with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice fenced in yard. The one draw back was that the Beverley beach access was under construction so we had to drive to access the beach but that is temporary. We loved our stay.

Great house

Location and view are just what you want for a beach house. It is a drive to actually get to the beach, as the house is perched on a bluff above 101. The house was comfortable, well equiped kithen and I hope we can return.

Incredible Views!

Checkin was a breeze, great communication with management, when we walked in the door our jaws dropped with the floor to crawling windows and unbelievable view of the ocean! The main bedroom has an even better view! Beverly beach so close to the house, we explored Newport and several other beaches! The neighborhood was quiet and friendly!

We could see the whales off in the distance. It was a beautiful lodging and comfortable for all of us. I used the jetted tub and loved it.Only negative, which really isn't a big deal, is the jets in the jetted tub need to have a cleaner run through them. We all loved the showers and hot tub.

Amazing property!

The house was amazing. The views are absolutely incredible, the only slight I had with the property was the hot tub and jacuzzi bath had biofilm when the jets were turned on. This was such a minuscule problem though. The beauty of the property and views more than makes up for it. The beach was clean, quiet and not crowded at all. We absolutely loved our stay!

There was a little mixup with checking in, but their customer support was very helpful and prompt and got me in the door. Everything was as advertised, although I would suggest that there be coffee available, or at least make it be known that it wouldn't be. I would recommend this property to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we have stayed at Colby's Run. The view can't be beat and the hot tub is wonderful. Our little dog travels with us and that is how we found this home in the first place. We will probably stay again, even if our dog is no longer with us- he's 18 years old. We would highly recommend staying here.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our pooch stayed her mid week for a quick get-away to see a couple sights on the coast and do a little hiking with the pups. View is SPECTACULAR from this rental and the fully fenced yard was perfect for our needs. Close to town with easy access to several beaches close by. Nicely stocked kitchen, very clean, and the bed in the master was comfortable and again had a beautiful view. Hot tub was a nice feature as well. We would definitely stay here again.

everything was great about the property except one thing. There was a significant methane/sulfur odor outside coming from under the deck. Does the septic tank need to be emptied? A shame the beautiful views and perfect weather we had were offset by this odor and we all sat inside instead.

Misrepresented - NOT OCEANFRONT - ON THE 101

The pictures are very misleading, the description should tell the real story. THIS IS NOT "OCEANFRONT". It fronts the main highway. If you are looking to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves... this is NOT the place. The master bedroom with all the views of the ocean is actually right above the 101 highway and sounds like you are sleeping in a beer can which is laying on the side of the road. The pictures (and description) make you think you can walk right out onto the beach. You would have to drive... I would not have stayed here for a fraction of the price. HORRIBLY MISREPRESENTED!!! I would like a refund of at least 50% P.S. The kitchen isn't even stocked with salt and pepper. There is literally NOTHING in the kitchen, no spices, no sugar, ZERO. NADA.

Great views but deferred maintenance

To start, the customer service from Meredith Lodging was great. The response time for messages was almost immediate and the issues we had Friday night were addressed Saturday morning and the gentleman who did the work was very nice and represented Meredith well. Unfortunately the home itself has a lot of deferred maintenance and exceptionally poor remodel work. I'm assuming that this is due to the homeowner choosing to not have it done or cut corners. The major issues we dealt with: - Severe water leaks in all 3 large windows on the main floor as well as a minor leak at the kitchen window and one sliding window in the master. We spent Friday night putting towels on the floor and window sills to try and mitigate any interior damage and had to do it again on Sunday morning before we left. After looking through the reviews this has been going on since 2020 and definitely has not been remedied. - There were ants all around the kitchen sink and countertops (and we kept the area clean so it wasn't a cleanliness issue) - No fitted sheets on the beds, they were all loose fitting. - Multiple towels with holes - Dial on the washing machine to change cycle type didn't work well, you would have to spin it for a while until it would change and a few times we had to reset it the machine to make it work. - The shower door in the master isn't level so when it's opened it swings open and hits the door from the bedroom door if it was open. - The magnet on the shower door to hold it shut did not work well and took a few tries to get it to stay shut - The quality of the tile work was questionable at best. Although there weren't usability issues it definitely gives the impression of a lack of caring regarding the finish and maintenance of the home. - The water level in the hot tub was below the top jets so if only 2 people were in it the water would spray out of the tub. We don't want to pick apart the home however with the rental price the finishes and lack of care with the remodel and maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. After the rain stopped we could see water seeping out under the leaking windows and siding so I would assume that there's water damage behind the siding and potential for rot, mold, etc. The views, hot tub and location were great and if the owner wanted to invest some money into the home it would definitely show a lot better and I would think command a higher rental rate.
