Welcome to this well cared for and clean home! Your comfort and health means a lot to us and it is ours as well. We clean and sanitize our rental home the way we’ve been doing along, the two step clean and disinfect practice, to provide the best cleanliness we can. We use bleach, disinfect cleaner sprays and disinfectant wipes focusing on high-touch objects and areas.
Hand sanitizer is provided by the home entrance for your convenience.
Removing shoes by the door has always been our number one house rule for sanitary reason. It also helps us to protect the carpet and hard wood flooring.
Clean and sanitized slippers are available for your comfort and for indoor use only.
Feel free to bring along your own clean slippers and if they are worn on the streets then they should Not be worn inside the home.
Disposable gloves and disinfect spray cleaners are found in kitchen cabinet.
Keyless access entry to the home enables our guests self check-in and check-out conveniently, privately and safely. A door code will be provided shortly before your arrival.
Additionally, we ensure a gap between bookings for sufficient cleaning time and house ventilation.
We do our part providing a safe and relaxing accommodation experience and certainly appreciate our guests doing their share by keeping the best personal hygiene and helping us maintain the property clean and pristine.

This newly furnished ranch house situates in a quiet estates. It offers couples and small families a perfect home away from home in a forest like setting.
Please review the 50 photos and the relevant captions posted and realistically expect to enjoy everything as so pictured and described. Feel free to ask about things important to you regardless if they are mentioned on the listing or not.
At 2000 feet elevation, one enjoys the clean mountain air, abundance of nature and wildlife, country relaxation and outdoor adventures!
You will find no looped utility poles in sight in this quaint community but tranquility and serenity.
The 1600 square feet ranch house offers a bright and spacious master suite and an equally well natural light flooded second bedroom. There are two full bathrooms. It uses a septic system so please be mindful only bath tissues flushed, no baby wipes even those labeled “flushable “.
The usual setup is two queen sized beds and two twin beds. Two additional complimentary rollaway folding beds are available upon request. This home is perfect for one or two couples or a family of four or six. A maximum of six overnight adults permitted only. This home might not be ideal for your company of 3 couples. Providing us with an accurate guess count of your special party ensures occupancy safety, maximum comfort and enjoyment for everyone. It helps us on supplying adequate linens, towels and other goods, too. Extra clean pillows, quilts and blankets are provided for your added comfort; umbrellas available for your convenience.
The home is keyless code entry. The normal check-in is after 2pm and check-out is 11am promptly. Please feel free to let us know in advance to best accommodate you.
You will love the exterior solid red bricks of the house and the exposed brick fireplace wall in the dining room as much as we do. The cleared and squared piece of flat land, the well maintained lawn and woodland landscape, the front yard weeping cherry blossom tree, the fruit bearing apple tree and the many surrounding majestic tall trees, the close proximity to many recreation locations, dining and shopping venues and attractions, make this home a wonderful accommodation choice.
There’s no stairs to climb in the house. The open concept kitchen, the wall ovens and sleek and shiny cooktop radiant the homey feel. The glass-doored fireplace adds the elegance and extra warm touches to the space. (Use Durafleme type of paper logs only, not provided. Make sure to pull damper open before lighting up, instruction available. Please NO wood logs used). Clean up after fireplace use is requested. Our house guests enjoy the solid and polished oakwood flooring, the wide sliding doors opening onto a large deck and the screened and breezy sunroom as added hangout space. The balanced layout of the floor plan and the clutter free interior make an inviting home.
All windows and sliding doors are equipped with built-in mini blinds that can be adjusted by turning a small dial in the lower right hand corner on the frames. Simply and carefully turn the dials for privacy, blocking out or inviting in lights.
A ceiling heat lamp in the master bathroom comes in handy when needed, as well as a small portable fan stored in the entrance hallway closet.
As much as you would enjoy the home itself, it’s the many things to do nearby that attract you here throughout the year. You can enjoy the entertainment or try your hands at the casino. You can spend your days antiquing, premium outlet shopping, biking, hiking, boating, rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, fresh water fishing, horseback riding, go-carting, ATV riding, golfing, miniature golfing , skirmish paint balling, tree ziplining, mountain sliding. You can be at the indoor and outdoor water parks or at the amusement parks, autumn foliage watching, skiing and tubing, and more.
You can spend your evenings casual dining at the nearby steakhouses, a well pointed Japanese restaurant, Mexican, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants, the bars and eateries at the Casino, and many convenient chain restaurants for burgers, fried chickens and more. Feel like serving up home cooked meals yourself? Try the heavy duty park style charcoal grill with the adjustable rack of four different heights. Barbecue tool set, charcoal and cleanup tools are provided. Cleanup requested after use please.
The kitchen is well stocked with basic spices, dishes, glass salad bowl, large servers, wine glasses, silverware, pots and pans, utensils and gadgets.
Please be certain to turn on the overhead exhaust fan when cooktop cooking . A double electric wall oven is a plus to prepare two dishes spontaneously. ShopRite Pocono Supermarket is 4 miles east of the home. Other supermarkets and a 24-hour mega center are within 10 minute drive. There are four gas stations dotted along a 4 miles stretch on Route 196 East.
A ten minute walk to Carriage Square Mall, a pharmacy, a few small shops and a general store for all of your incidental needs. A deli, a pizzeria, and a Chinese takeout restaurant , would satiate any cravings for comfort foods and beer.
A leisure short stroll around the two circular cul-de-sacs in the development is always pleasant, too. The paved street on the side of home will lead you to either one.
A seasonal Amish Farmer’s Market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. One mile from the home on your left, on 196 East (Sterling Road, make a left when exit the development).

Why they chose this property
This home is in the heart of the scenic Pocono Mountains, Tobyhanna, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It’s easily accessible by car, only a few miles north off Exit 298, The Crossings Premium Outlets, on I-80W, north of the Delaware Water Gap National Park. It’s less than a two hour car drive from New York City.
We find it tranquil and serene and like it neat in this development with no looped utility poles on display above ground.
