I don't think we got experience the property at its best - our stay was during sub-zero weather in January and the lower level of the house (living room, entry) wasn't able to warm above 65Âș. The upstairs (bedrooms, kitchen, bath) was fine. That said, the host was very responsive and easy to work with.
Great quiet, historical, charming cottage! We enjoyed having a kitchen to do our own meals. The outdoor fire pit was nice, and it was within walking distance to the shops in Mineral Point. Our âbig eventâ was going to a performance at American Players Theater. We enjoyed our stay!
Really enjoyed staying in this historic home, very cozy, and we especially enjoyed the fire ring out back as well as the quiet neighborhood and close proximity to shops and restaurantsâŠ
We enjoyed our stay. The house is historic and rustic. the town has lots to explore for such a small place. The Red Rooster was a good place for breakfast.
Part of the reason this property was chosen was its distance to Spring Green American Players Theater.
Our location was perfect for the restaurant and church attended.
This charming cottage at 225 Clowney Street is a remarkable piece of Mineral Point's history. Originally constructed as a carriage house in 1849, the property was home to John Clowney, the town's second mayor.
