About Vacasa, CA - Northern California Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Beautiful, spacious home

  • 4 of 5

All the essentials. Not within walking distance of town or ocean...High on ridge and can see a slice of ocean on mostly clear days. Quiet and clean. Next to undeveloped property where you can take a hike.

Beautiful House (Great Price!)

  • 5 of 5

For the price, you couldn't get a nicer home! The house was beautiful, open and spacious. We loved sitting on the deck or in the kitchen at the bay window to look out at the trees, stars and on clear days you could see the ocean in between the trees. We adore the Northern California area in fall because it's not crowded. We went to about 5 beaches, and many times we were the only ones there! Mendocino is only an hour from Gualala, and a beautiful drive. It was quite a relaxing vacation!

When you pull up into the driveway, the first thing you notice is how overgrown the shrubs and trees are. The front screen door doesn't operate properly, you always have to straighten it out every time you open and close it. When you walk in the foyer, ( Wow ), the first thing you notice, is the high ceilings and windows,... until you get closer and, " All " the windows are bombarded by the local fowls, ( and they are large fowls ), not appealing in the dinning room or the bedrooms, ( I actually cleaned some of the windows that I could get to ). The deck furniture is very dated and also abused by the local birds. The wood planks on the back deck are warped and lifting, nail heads are sticking up a 1/4" or more, enough to make a small child miserable, ( The builder should have used wood screws ), and it appears that someone try to put a quick coat of stain on the back deck with all the splatters on the adjoining walls. The large fireplace in the great room does not burn wood? They ask that you burn presto logs only, and the fireplace and flue is very small and dirty. I also noticed, ( and I looked several times ), that there is not a noticeable chimney on the roof?? The owner would probably get better use out of that portion of the home, if he converted it to a pizza oven. What I find odd is that the owners ask that you start the dishwasher & a load of laundry before you leave? Which leads me to ask, why are the owners charging a cleaning fee? Overall, if you are in the area for a few days, and you have 4 to 6 people in your party, it's a place that you can call " Home Base ". I would have given this house 2 1/2 stars out of 5, but this web site was not compliant. K.M.

Gorgeous, comfy home in beautiful coastal surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely, comfortable uncluttered home with all mod cons, washing machine, drier, dishwasher, microwave, 2 televisions, DVD player and sun deck. It has a beautiful view of the trees and you can see the ocean. We stayed with our 2 teenage boys and we all thought this was a fabulous house. Gualala and the north California coast are just stunning as is the Gualala river. The main attractions are outdoors, so not for a city break, but if you want peace and quiet in gorgeous surroundings, this is ideal.

Peaceful-no need to go anywhere else

  • 5 of 5

This house is quiet and has a view of the ocean from the master bedroom, the living room and the deck. You can watch the fog quickly roll in from the ocean each day in the late afternoon and you can see the fog clear up in the early morning. Likewise, you have a clear view of the stars, too. If you appreciate peace, beauty and relaxation, there is no need to leave the house. Also, the house is right next to a hiking trail which leads into town. Two thumbs up!
