Cozy Beach Cottage

Newly refurbished Cottage City Victorian beach house, built in 1870. Walk to beach, walk to town. 2 bedrooms up a narrow flight of stairs, one with a Queen size bed and one with a single (twin XL). 15 minute walk to Jetty beach or Inkwell beach. 10 minute walk to town, the harbor and the campground. Spacious yard in a very quiet neighborhood. Next door to the library.

Regardless of recent updates this is a small cottage from the 19th century and also our home. It was moved from the campground to its current location at the turn of the 20th century. We have tried to retain the unique and historic gingerbread cottage feel of the property. If you are looking for something modern and posh it may not be for you.

There are parking spaces for 2 cars, a small front porch and a deck in back with table and chairs for outdoor dining. There is a gas grill and a spacious front, back and side yards. There is a private outdoor shower. Indoor bathroom has a stand up shower. Gas stove, dishwasher and washer and dryer in the kitchen. There is a dining area, TV, internet and a collection of DVD's. We do not have cable TV. Towels and linens are provided.

This is a small, tight, but charming cottage in a nice neighborhood. The only downside is that the bathrrom is on the ground floor while the two bedrooms are on the second floor up/down a narrow, steep stairway. This wasn't a terrible problem, as the owner has done a good job of lighting and improving the stairway. But those with limited mobility would find this a challenge.

This was the perfect property for our visit to Martha’s Vineyard. The owners were so responsive and gave us a seamless experience. I would definitely stay at the Cozy Cottage again!

The cottage was adorable it had everything we needed and jared enhanced our stay with additional amenities such as beach gear and bicycles. Communication was great, we needed an iron to press or linens and Jared quickly sent us an iron. Location was perfect close enough to walk to restaurants but far enough from noise. We will be returning to his cottage.

The property was prepared, very thoughtful and had everything you could think of for a wonderful beach Island stay. The only downside was cable because I’m addicted to TV and I would’ve appreciated at least a smart TV that I could connect my own Netflix.

Thoughtfully designed and beautiful cottage!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day stay at this charming beach cottage. Tucked away on a beautiful tree-lined street, the property is just a short walk or drive to all the Ocean Beach activities.The cottage itself is spotless, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with everything you need—and even things you didn’t know you needed! The view from the dining table is picture-perfect, making every meal feel special.The yard is beautifully manicured, full of flowering bushes, butterflies, and birds. It was the ideal backdrop for my morning coffee—a true retreat.You won’t regret staying here. Book it! I already hope to return next year.

Wonderful stay - moments away from Oak Bluffs. Cottage was very nice; tidy and orderly. Nice yard - we grilled each night and there was an outdoor patio dining area. We would stay there again! Thank you Jared for everything!

Perfect quaint cottage

The cottage was perfect for a week stay for a friend and myself. There were thoughtful design touches that made this place feel homey and personalized (loved all the glassware!). There were a bit more bug friends than I would've hoped which wasn't unexpected given that it was a more rustic cottage and it was earlier in the season, but owner may want to give the property another spray around door and window frames. Otherwise, perfect location, amazing yard, and comfy bed!

Great Getaway!

Cozy cottage was perfect getaway for the weekend. We were there for a wedding. It was the perfect spot to to get to Edgar town and Vineyard Haven.

Amazing!!!

We had a truly incredible stay as a group of 3 getting together for a girls weekend! The cottage is tastefully decorated, and makes you feel like you’ve escaped to the countryside! Everything was perfectly described- we can’t wait to come back.

Adorable Cottage!

We (a party of 3 lifelong friends!) loved this little tucked away cottage. Despite the bad weather cards we were dealt with, (a lot of rain and wind) we easily walked to the Campground and marvelled at the uniqueness of the gingerbread cottages and found some good rainy day hang-out's that I wasn't aware of (especially loved Behind The Bookstore & ventured out on a little bit on a rainy night to listen to live music at Nonan's) The check-in was super easy and we took advantage of the outdoor shower. We couldn't bike ride because of the weather, but we liked that 2 bikes were there. The little touches of great glassware, fun art, nice smelling soaps and shampoos, fresh flowers on our arrival and plenty of kitchen accessories made our stay so enjoyable! Would love to stay again!

Mother/Daughter Weekend

My daughter and I (and my 12 month old granddaughter) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the sweetest cottage in Oak Bluffs. It was PERFECT for our long weekend stay. It was quaint and cozy for sure but certainly had everything we needed. The host was very responsive with all my inquiries.

2nd stay here...will likely be back next year for a 3rd. Close to main shopping/dining area in Oak Bluffs (less than 10 minutes by car). Very convenient to rest of MV. Only con is no microwave or toaster oven, so you need to use the oven to reheat everything. That makes the 1st floor hot. Otherwise, owner host has thought of everything.

My family stay at this cottage was very comfortable. Everything was nice, especially the backyard atmosphere. Walk into town center was easy and all amenities were closeby. Inkwell beach was a short walk. Very much appreciated Jared's hospitality. Thank you!

Love, adventure, rest

Stay at this lovely cabin! I hope all visitors feel the same amount of love, adventure and rest that we did. Although you have neighbors you feel like you're in your own little cocoon. My husband and I made our first trip to Martha's Vineyard for our honeymoon. We are so grateful that this was our home base, it's proximity to the ferry, downtown Oaks Bluff, the Ginger Bread cottages, and bike paths to Edgartown and Tisbury. Our proximity to friendly residents on the island also made this an amazing stay. We've already started discussing our next trip and staying at this cabin again.

Location was perfection

The property owner was excellent on answering all of my requests and questions. The location was away from the hustle and bustle but, a nice walk into town. The back desk was so relaxing. The solar lights for night were so helpful. Great property.

Cute, Cozy and Comfy Cottage

We had a great time at this little cottage. It was just the right size for our small family. Proximity to the library was great and made it easy for Uber to find us. Quick walk to town for restaurants, arcade, ice cream, etc., but isolated enough for quiet at night! The kids scared themselves silly with the “wildlife encounters,” near the outdoor shower.
