Hot Sorings Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views on Lake Catherine in a quiet, pretty neighborhood. Easy communication with property management, a nice getaway for family.

Great wildlife watching but off the beaten path a bit

The house was spacious with great outdoor access and views- the interior was dated and had a good supply of kitchenware but no toiletries- I would have made the 10 minute drive to the closest dollar store to pick up soap and shampoo had I known there was none in the bathroom- some utensils were put away not properly washed and one of the main recliner chairs was broken

Displeased.

I was very displeased with our stay. The home was obviously dated and there were more amenities in the home broken than functioning. All broken had notes beside them stating the part was ordered but the note had been there so long that the ink was fading. Both couches were broken/ poor condition that you could not even get comfortable while sitting to watch the television. There's so much more I could say but I will leave this. To the property owners, this property has so much potential. The view is beautiful but the property as a whole needs some money and time invested back into it.

It had potential

The photos online must have been taken years ago and I should have read all the reviews before booking, because some of the same concerns we have were stated a couple of years ago without fixes. The kitchen is clean and there is a new fridge. The stovetop, microwave and oven are in all working condition. The linens are all very dated and need to be refreshed. The bedroom in the master was very hard and the extra “bed” at the end was just a very hard ottoman made to look like a bed. The sofa is worn out and the layout was odd but we were told not to arrange back to what the photo online had. The river views are beautiful but the river was very shallow and murky. The outside could use a deep clean and fresh coat of paint on the decks. The community pool was nice. The house has such potential, but I should have read the reviews first. Spent a lot of money on a mediocre place.

Pictures are out of date, information not correct

The pictures of the property both inside and out are not current. The living room is not set up the way it shows, the deck is very old and beginning to fall apart. The deck on the water is unsafe with the railing almost falling apart and very loose. In one area, you feel like you'e about to fall through. It states is has WiFi; however, it's only 1mbps and is virtually unusable. We had to use the hotspots on our phone. The bedroom tv was missing the remote and we were told after getting there that the previous renter stole it but it was not replaced therefore the tv was useless. One bedroom, it has lights on the wall but they are unplugged and just hanging. The grill is a very old charcoal grill therefore we didn't use.

If you are looking for a peaceful lakeside home to stay in this is the place! Beautiful view!

Very clean, comfortable, spacious and did I mention the view? Awesome! Close to Hot Springs. Enjoyed sitting on the deck with morning coffee and relaxing on the water with an evening glass of wine. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal! Plenty of towels! Owner was very responsive! No issues here😉. Will definitely be going back!!

Beautiful setting

Very nice setting on the lake. Overall, the property was very nice with all the creature comforts one would need. Two sets of french doors need some attention, together with the decks.

Everything it was supposed to be!

I was looking for a "first family vacation!" This home was all that and more. Super simple from the booking to the check in and checkout process. The house was neat, clean, had everything needed for my family of 5. If I had any questions or concerns my host was just a text away The view was absolutely beautiful! We are looking forward to returning next year or sooner!

Relaxing Retreat

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In this quiet community. We especially loved sitting on the deck watching the all the different types of birds and the seeing the morning mist roll in on the lake. The place was very clean and the host had excellent communication. We will definitely be back!

Great location on the lake

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We definitely enjoyed sitting on the dock. It also provided a place for us to park our waverunners.

Good dock/lake access, inaccurate listing

This listing claims to sleep 7 with an air mattress, but no air mattress was present. Technically only sleeps 5, extras had to sleep on the couch.

Family time

I rented this house to spend time with my parents and my daughter. After being couped up in the house for over 1 year my parents needs some time away from home and we had not been able to see one another in almost 2 years. We were all able to relax, fish, sit on the deck in the mornings and evenings and watch the animals and the boats go by. We had a great time here and would love to come back again in the future.

RELAX BY THE LAKE

The property was quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed was there. The electricity went out one day we were there (no fault of the owner... about 50 houses in the area lost power). The owner called the electric company, found out what the problem was and communicated with us until the Electric Company got it up and running again. Overall... a great place to swim, hike, golf or just relax. Thanks!

Hot Springs Getaway

Loved the deck and yard... the view is beautiful!! Will be gorgeous when the Fall colors appear.... very comfortable and super clean! Garvin Gardens is incredible!
