A Piece of Heaven on Lake Catherine

Lake Front House 1460 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, open concept kitchen, dining and living room. Large master bedroom. Front yard faces lake, Firepit, Cabana on lake with boat dock and pier. Waterfall on lake and State Park on lake with Hiking trails. Close to town which has a casino, state parks, breweries and restaurants. November 1st through November 5th Entergy begins to lower the water for the winter. it is dropped about 5 feet, which makes the cabana not above water during winter months. There is a large sandbar during this time, and you can still have the lake view. March 1st through the 5th they refill the lake, and the cabana is above the over water again.

We will be back!!!

We brought our friends from Maine that we had not seen in 13 years and all stayed together at this beautiful property. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and lounging in the cabana; Drinking Coffee on the porch watching the sun rise as the fog lifted off the water; Shopping and dining was a short but beautiful drive away. The house was modern and cozy. Beds were comfy. Loved the Island and the bar. Nice equipped kitchen. Security system was wonderful. Everyone had a blast. We will be back!!!

Perfect gateway on the water

Stayed at this gem for several days with my husband and my best friend. Great location, easy access to the town of Hot Springs and state parks. Very comfortable beds! Awesome view of the river and great fishing. Would love to stay again! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your little piece of heaven!

A Mixed Experience in a Cozy VRBO Haven

I recently had a stay at this VRBO that left me with a mix of feelings. The home itself was lovely, offering a comfortable stay with especially cozy beds that ensured a good night's sleep. The outdoor grills were a definite highlight, perfect for a relaxed evening. However, navigating at night became quite challenging due to the absence of streetlights and the narrow, winding roads, making it difficult to stay out late. One aspect that was a disappointment was the lack of information about the lake being drained for the winter, resulting in extremely low water levels. This could have been communicated better by the homeowner. Additionally, an unannounced visitor showing up at the cabana while I was alone was a bit unsettling and left me feeling uncomfortable. In essence, the place itself was pleasant, but some communication and safety aspects could be improved to ensure a more seamless and secure experience for guests.

A very peaceful vacation getaway. Very clean and well stocked. Lots of things to do in the area. Highly recommend visiting Garvan Woodland Gardens during your stay.
