Bill, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Spec's Place on the Lake. Judy does such a great job in welcoming and assisting guests. We try to keep our property stocked as just shopping for every single item and condiment can get wasteful and expensive. We want you to enjoy your vacation as well as be comfortable and at home. Thank you so much for your review and we hope you will make a return visit to Spec's Place in the future. Renee Slinkard Owner

Sorry to hear your need to go to the Marina to rent a boat. Manager of the property had spoken with the person who booked asking her to meet upon arrival so she can answer questions and direct alternative routes to the dock. Unfortunately, the person who booked did not meet with the Manager upon arrival and went directly to the Marina. There was also a boat launch a few blocks from the property that could have been used. Again, no one contacted the Manager. Being a neighbor, the Manager is always available to assist and direct guests who stay on the property so they will have an enjoyable time as well as accommodating..

So glad to hear you had a good time and enjoyed hanging out on the porch. Whether it is a rain day or a sunny day sitting out on the porch is a good way to converse and relax. Judy knows the area well and has great ideas for enjoyment whether it is a rainy or sunny day.

Thank you for your review of our property. Convenience is one of our priorities for those who stay at Spec's Place. Glad you liked how the property was stocked with condiments. Judy is very helpful and knowledgeable about the lake area and always makes herself available for questions about the property and lake areas. Thank you again for your review. and hope you will return again to Spec's Place.

We are glad you enjoyed your vacation and apologize for any inconvenience you had during your stay. We do have trees that surround the property as most properties do in Turkey Mountain. You can see the view of the lake from the deck and it is a short walk to the dock. The island of trees helps the privacy of gatherings outside under the carport and woods are in the back. There is only one house on the road that has a porch across from our property and it has never interfered with the privacy of our guests throughout the years. Yes, it is good to ask questions but I believe your discrepancies with the property are overly exaggerated.

It is good to hear that you had a great time Brad. The carport does add a nice cozy place and privacy to enjoy a dinner and conversation. Judy is very informed about the area and helpful. Thank you for your review. Sincerely, Renee Slinkard
