THE CHALET IS SET IN THE GROUNDS OF PENSTOWE MANOR HOLIDAY VILLAGE, KILKHAMPTON, BUDE.PARENTS CAN REST ASSURED THAT YOUR CHILDREN CAN PLAY IN COMPLETE SAFETY.

KILKHAMPTON IS A QUAINT LITTLE VILLAGE WITH A LOVELY CHURCH, 2 LOCAL PUBS AND 3 AMENITY STORES.

BUDE WITH ITS SANDY TOWN BEACH AND SEA POOL IS 4 MILES FROM KILKHAMPTON
THE TOWN HAS A LARGE VARIETY OF SHOPS, BANKING FACILITIES AND EATING PLACES TO SUIT ALL TASTES, PUBS ETC, PARKING FACILITIES AND BEACH CAR PARKS

We loved the chalet but the site and some of the surrounding properties looked a little unloved!

Very basic property but clean

The property had seen better days and was without some key items such as seating outside or a decent airer for our damp towels and swimwear. There was condensation on the windows and the decor was very dated. The holiday though was not about the accommodation but would have been made better if the standards were higher. Would not stay at this property again.

ideal for exploring coastal path

The property smelt of damp when we opened the door. The décor was old and tired. There were plenty of heating devices which were needed as it was very cold when we stayed in September. Apart from that it is probably lovely in the summer when you can have the doors and windows open. It was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The location is ideal for the coastal walks. The facilities on the site were good.

Tracy and Amon Stringfellow- we have been married for 33 years and we both are in full time work. We have 2 children Aaron who is 31 and Claire who is 29. They both work.

Why they chose this property

My parents originally purchased the chalet after we had all been on holiday there when the children were small. We fell in love with Penstowe, the children could play on the grass out the front of the chalet and we always found something to keep them occupied at all ages.
We took over the running of the chalet in 2011, we decided to have a full refurbishment in 2019 this included new roofing, new external fascias, the inside was completely gutted and taken back to the original brick and we started from scratch. The refurb is now complete for the 2020 season with everything brand new.
