Wonderful!

Loved our stay in Luz. This flat is perfectly located; wonderful ocean view, quiet location but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Only a few minute drive if you need more extensive shopping. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Feedback

This property is in a great location and is quite big with great views from the lounge area and balcony. It was however quite dusty inside and looked like it needed a decent clean. It’s self catering but there were no basic utilities you might expect in an apartment like this? No dishwashing liquid, nothing for the washing machine or dishwasher, no kitchen paper towels, only one toilet roll. We bought stuff and left the remains behind but I suspect this will get taken before the next guests arrive?

thanks for your review. In fact, even though it is a self-catering apartment, it makes sense that for short stays some products are available on arrival, so we are going to create a welcome kit with products for the beginning of the stay.

Great location, amazing view

We had amazing weather, and the view from the upper balcony is spectacular! Everything is in walking distance. Parking is rather experimental. The object is a bit worn down, but still nice enough. A few things missing, toilett paper (only one half roll), only seats on the balcony, no launchers, that was slightly sad. The windows didn't work properly, some couldn't be secured. Other then that, the owner was always helpful to fix small issues right away. On the bright side, to not just complain, sleeping arrangements were good, pillows nice and comfy. And the rest was spruced up by great sun and no clouds and perfect ocean view. We also saw dolphins directly from the balcony in the mornings.

Stunning Sea Views

The big selling point of this property is the view. Sitting on the upper balcony (off the lounge) gives great views of the sea, beach and Black Rock. The place was clean and tidy and was cleaned again after the first week. Beds were comfy, shower was good. Kitchen had a fridge, freezer and washing machine. There were cooking facilities and a dishwasher that we didn't use as we ate out every day. I would guess you could prep and cook a meal if you wanted. The area is reasonably peaceful yet close to supermarkets, restaurants and bars. There is only one downside for us. You can't pick your neighbours. The let was on the top two floors of a house. The bottom storey was a separate let and if the host lets it out to a very noisy occupant then you will know about it. Thankfully it only affected the last couple of nights.

Condo

Generally, the condo was in really good condition and clean. Views and location are great. However, having traveled quite a bit, the keys to having a good experiences involves the smaller details to help you be comfortable and sleep well. At this location, we had no hot water for one evening, so we’re unable to take showers. It was a simple fix, but it could be fixed until the next day. In addition, the expresso machine did not work. The aspect we did not appreciate the most was the master bedroom was right adjacent to two parking lot lamps and there was no black shades so it felt like you were sleeping on the sun each night - even with eye coverings. This coupled with a very uncomfortable bed, made for very poor sleeping habits the entire time we stayed at this location. The owner really needs to invest in a better mattress and blackout shades in the master bedroom. Although this location had some really positive elements, I would not recommend staying here until the owner improve the master bedroom issues.

Not considering the inoperability of the water heater, for which we have already apologized and which could easily have been resolved by the customer by replacing a battery, the complaints are based almost exclusively on the light entrance and the mattress in the master bedroom. Regarding the first situation, to make it clear, in addition to the existence of curtains, it is also possible to close the black shutters on the windows, which almost completely prevents the entry of light. Regarding the mattress, it is worth noting that it was purchased recently. It is also important to note that, when it comes to this issue, what pleases some people does not please others. Some people like it softer while others like it harder. Finally, after the customers left, the espresso machine that was working, had to be replaced.

Apartment with stupendous ocean views, 50 meters from the beach

Paulo's home is perfectly located overlooking the beach. We viewed beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the water, from the large balcony. A very spacious duplex, nicely appointed, well equipped kitchen, modern bath with generous amount of hot water. Highly recommended!

Magnificent views and location!!

We had such a wonderful time and Paulo's place was ideal! It was exactly as shown in the photos. Of all the towns we visited on the Algarve during our stay, we couldn't have chosen a more perfect location for us. Steps to the beach, as well as restaurants and groceries. We would love to stay there again next time we come back.

Also eigentlich braucht man kein Auto.

Schönes Ferienhaus in sehr guter Lage

First of all, thank you for making a review of the apartment. Only that way we can improve. I will try to comment only on the negative points that are two, the heating in the winter and the smell in the closet. This apartment was closed during the winter, having this season been very humid. This will have motivated the smell of humidity in the closet. This is something that has not happened in the past and will surely not happen again. On the subject, I remember that this apartment was completely renovated in the spring of 2016. Regarding the heating, I have to make a small correction, in addition to the fireplace in the living-room, there are two electric heaters, which can be easily passed to those who are needed if there is a request for it, which has not happened. I hope to welcome you back to my house next year, as I am sure you will award then a 5 star review. Thank you.
