The area is one of outstanding natural beauty; a peaceful haven for wildlife, including eagles, lizards and butterflies, from which the villa takes its name. Set in its own olive grove and blending superbly with its surroundings, this luxurious villa is built to a high specification. It's unique split level design was inspired by the natural terraces of the hillside and maximises the breathtaking 180 degree views of the beautiful east coast bays, Corfu town, the spectacular mountains of central Corfu and the glorious sunsets of the west coast.
Villa Petalutha has four bedrooms and four bathrooms all with stunning views. There are comfortable mattresses and good quality bed linen and towels. Swimming towels are also provided. The living area is open plan and flows beautifully to outside spaces. The Kitchen is well equipped for enthusiastic cooks. Outside, you will find a range of lovely terraces where you can relax or enjoy a meal. There is a large BBQ and outdoor sink. Steps lead down from the villa to the stunning infinity pool which is heated for shoulder season lets. The pool terraces are well furnished with sun loungers and easy chairs. This villa is a peaceful paradise set in the most spectacular location on the beautiful island of Corfu.

Quiet location with a gorgeous view
If you want a quiet place to get away from the crowds then This Villa is great for a family or group that want to lounge by the pool and enjoy the awesome views and sunsets from multiple vantage points. The patios lent themselves nicely to group meals at different times of day, all with easy access to the kitchen. The night lighting made it look more like a resort than a house! Only caveat is the distance up the mountain (approx 20 min from the coast at Ipsos or 45 min from Corfu town.) that must be driven to visit other parts of the island. Great place to chill out and make great meals and memories. For families with younger members, the pool is visible from all the outdoor areas.

Extravagant Villa with breathtaking views
Villa petalutha was such a wonderful experience for myself and my family. We stayed 10 nights and would definitely return again. The roads are a little serpentine to and from the towns, but you get the hang of it after a few tries. It is very centrally located, most places are only about 20mins, but only due to roads you cannot drive too quickly not the distance. There are lots of information included in the guest booklets, so please do take a look. The property manager Apostiles/family is amazing they are very responsive with any needs that may occur, very kind and very friendly. Again, our family had an amazing time in Corfu….

Beautiful villa with fantastic views
Villa Petaloutha was very well equipped. We have been renting villas in Greece for 20 years and this was one of the best. The one downside was the road through Spatilas which was very narrow and difficult if you meet other traffic. Also the short steep drive was a challenge. Having said that the villa was wonderful and worth the effort. A special find was the Oceania restaurant in the village Shrinalas further up the mountain. Close and easy to get to with wonderful food.

Incredible week!
We enjoyed the Villa immensely! Every aspect was incredible-the VIEW, the pool, the house is amazing. The property is in excellent condition, very clean. Debbie has thought through many details to provide exactly what you need to have a fantastic stay. The kitchen was top notch, laundry facility is very helpful, and the assortment of games and DVDs was perfect. Apostolis was so kind and helpful. We loved being on the mountain and driving through the villages. It was a perfect memory maker for our family of five. Even the teens were in awe and bliss! The orange tree was especially enjoyed by our youngest, he loved making fresh juice. We can’t say enough excellent things about the location or the villa. It truly is a little piece of a private paradise. Thank you for sharing it Debbie!

Beautiful Villa
We booked this villa in 2019 long before anyone had heard of a Covid-19. Debbie was a pleasure to deal with in circumstances where no-one could predict whether we would be able to fly to Corfu. The villa has a stunning view over Dassia bay and beyond. We spent happy evenings eating and drinking against the backdrop of twinkling lights in the distance. In the day you could see from the east coast to the west coast . The pool setting is beautiful and the villa is wonderfully equipped. The outdoor grounds provide ample areas to relax in the sun or the shade. If you are seeking peace and quiet in a beautiful setting then this is the villa for you.

About the host

My husband David and I live in the Chew Valley near Bristol. I am a retired primary school teacher and my husband is a retired BT audit manager. We have three grown up children. We have always enjoyed family holidays together and we first came to Corfu in 1999. We loved the crystal clear waters, the tiny pebble beaches and the spectacular mountains that roll down to the sea. We have stayed in more exotic locations but always return to Corfu as our preferred destination. It has always been my dream to have our own villa on the island and now that dream has been realised. Our villa is in a magical location and It will delight all who visit.

Why they chose this property

Corfu is a delightful island that has something for everyone. We spent months searching for a plot of land in exactly the right location;away from the busy tourist resorts yet within reach of our favourite beaches, no more than 45 minutes drive from the airport and keeping Corfu town easily accessible. We wanted the dramatic and interesting views that only a mountain location can give but still wanted to be near a village community. Peace and tranquility was high on the list. When we first visited our plot of land, it was filled with beautiful wild flowers that attracted a host of brightly coloured butterflies (petalutha). The only sounds were the cicadas, the church bell and the bleat of a wild goat and then we saw the views...we knew that this was where we wanted to build our villa. We take great pride in presenting a home from home and making your holiday experience very special.

What makes this property unique

Having stayed in many holiday villas we knew exactly what we wanted to provide in ours. We have spent a long time choosing good quality furniture, most of which has come from England. We have bought pocket sprung mattresses and egyptian cotton sheets and towels to make your stay more comfortable. As I am a keen cook myself, the kitchen has been carefully designed to faciliate use and is extensively equipped, including professional chef's knives, so that cooking a main meal or preparing a light snack is a pleasure. The view can still be enjoyed as you stand at the sink!
The ever changing light across the landscape during the day is mesmerising and at night the panorama of bays and the little inland villages become a show of twinkling lights - perfect for evening dining on the roof terrace.
