Val and I (Mike) have owned the apartment since February 2008. We have made many changes since taking over, including refurbishing the kitchen and bathroom, installing air conditioning, WiFi and Internet TV, purchasing new, more comfortable sofas, 5ft bed and dining suite, as well as adding extra touches to the equipment in the kitchen and to the bed linen. We very much want guests to feel that they are in a 'home from home'. We use the apartment regularly for our own holidays and never tire of the charms of Nerja. We want all guests to leave with a feeling of having had a comfortable and relaxing stay and encourage comments to improve our service in our Guest Comments Book. We have an excellent manager, who can be contacted whilst in Nerja, who will endeavour to sort out any problems that may arise.

Why Mike and Val Korn chose Nerja
We first came to Nerja on a package holiday with our 2 children, then 16 and 13 years old, in 2001, and stayed at the Marinas at the far western end of Nerja. What we liked about Nerja was its unspoilt feel. Although never having visited the Costa del Sol, we had images of high rise hotels and construction work going on - this was not the case. Since then we have been coming back to Nerja at least once a year ever since, never tiring of the place. Even now you still get the feeling that it is very much a Spanish town which also has a lot of Brits in residence. Yes, there are English bars and places to eat, but with a little thought, there are still many traditional Spanish places to eat and drink.
What makes this Apartment unique
Because of the relaxed nature of Nerja, holidaying here always leaves you returning home very relaxed and, in our case, wanting to come back for more. The apartment is close enough to Burriana Beach and its amenities, as well as the town itself, to stroll down to, however, it retains a sense of tranquillity by being just that little way back from the 'frontline'.

Great apartment close to Burriana beach
Everything you need in this well appointed apartment. The coffee machine and liquidiser are an added bonus as well as all the tv channels you could wish for especially the sports ones.
Nice balcony with full sun, great for lunching or sunbathing.
This apartment was ideal for the 2 of us. The sunloungers on the balcony are superb. The aircon did the job at night. We tended to use the burriana beach side of nerja so the hill was not too bad. Supermarket up a steep hill do a big shop save you going back every day. The apartment had everything we neefed. Tremendous value for money

This apartment is so much more than just a holiday apartment, it really is a home from home and has everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect - a 5min walk down to the beach. The flat was beautifully kept and very clean - thank you for letting us make ourselves at home
Burriana Beach, which is Blue Flag beach, takes less than 5 minutes to stroll down to from our apartment. There are children's play areas, beach volley ball courts, a water sports activity centre, pedalos, beach bars, cafes and restaurants to suit a wide variety of tastes. Several of the restaurants along Calle Caribeo, in town, allow patrons to enjoy the spectacular sea-views whilst taking a break from the many varied shops Nerja town centre has to offer. The tapas trails are very popular with guests.
Malaga airport is 6 kms from Malaga city centre and approx. 53km (35 miles) to Nerja. Full directions will be supplied if transfer is by car. A car will enhance your visit to Nerja, but it is not essential to enjoy your holiday. Other ways of transfer are public transport, taxi or an airport/resort shuttle bus; (details can be provided on request). There is a regular local bus (not during siesta) which services the main parts of town and is a 10 minute walk from apartment. During the summer months (July and August) the local bus comes down to pick-up and drop-off at Burriana (200m from the apartment).
It is a 20 minute stroll into Nerja centre and Burriana beach is a five minute walk down a pretty hill, with stunning mountainous and sea views. We are a 10 minute walk, (3 minutes by car,) to a good national chain supermarket (take our shopping trolley if going on foot), and a few minutes walk away at Burriana is a local supermarket, well stocked, although more expensive than the ones in town. We have discovered several independent mini-markets on the way to town; with some bargain buys.
In central Nerja, there are lots of banks and cash points and excellent shops. The town is unspoilt and the local people and businesses have prospered through tourism, but still retain their friendly manner and warm welcome. The Balcon de Europe is at the heart of the town and ideal for enjoying a drink, a delicious ice-cream and a stroll; it is a great place to observe life in Nerja. People tend to return to Nerja, year after year, especially as the climate is ideal for a long winter break.
