Great stay, wonderful pool area

This is a big property in a nice location ( although not as close to Gale Beach as the map shown by Vrbo) however the property owner was extremely pleasant and we shared messages. The directions to the villa were excellent and the details how to get the key. The pool area is very spacious with ample sun beds and mattresses for extra comfort which was really lovely. There were a number of bedrooms with en-suites all over the villa and towels were changed for us mid week which was also nice. We had a slight problem with air con which was immediately actioned and resolved by the owner, thank you and a request for a hairdryer was fulfilled next day . FYI there are some minor adjustments needed Some of the taps in the downstairs bathrooms are a little loose ( still work ) and we couldn’t find any instructions for the oven so had to guess a bit as you can’t see the dials properly but we made it work . The WiFi ( once we found the code ) was also an excellent signal.All in all we had a great stay in this villa , it’s a quick drive to the Appolonia supermarket and we all thoroughly enjoyed the sunsets and alfresco dining and sitting! Would stay again.

Nous avons passer un bon séjour, la maison était propre et assez grande pour 12 personnes. Le jardin et la piscine étaient agréable et quartier calme. Nous avons eu un soucis avec la climatisation mais dès que nous avons appeler le propriétaire, le problème a été résolu rapidement. La personne qui s'occupe de la maison sur place est très sympathique et avenante.

Séjour globalement décevantNous avons loué la Casa Monteiro pour une semaine à 10 personnes. Nous nous attendions à une villa confortable et bien préparée, mais plusieurs points nous ont déçus.À notre arrivée, une odeur d’humidité était présente dans plusieurs chambres. Aucun rouleau de papier toilette, aucun savon et aucune bouteille d’eau n’étaient fournis. Ce n’est pas obligatoire, mais cela aurait été apprécié pour l’accueil.La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas dans plusieurs pièces. Après avoir contacté le propriétaire, il nous a indiqué que ce service n’était pas mentionné dans l’annonce, bien que certains avis précédents le mentionnaient.La cuisine présentait un manque d’entretien : vaisselle non nettoyée, odeurs et placards à vider avant utilisation.Dans l’ensemble, la maison aurait besoin d’un meilleur suivi en matière de propreté et de maintenance afin de correspondre pleinement aux attentes liées à sa description et à son tarif.Point positif : la piscine, très propre et bien entretenue, a été l’élément le plus agréable du séjour.

Maison agréable, avec une belle piscine et un vrai grand extérieur Le hôte et le personnel très agréable et disponible pour toutes questions ou petits soucis rencontrés. Tout était parfait on a passé un super séjour entre amis. Petits bémols, manque de climatisation puis de lumière extérieure , pas assez de lumière. Merci pour votre acceuil

Disappointing

The accuracy of the ad regarding the location is wrong as well as some other conditions such as the security deposit requirement! I rented the house for the proximity that seemed to the beach according to the location on the advertisement map, but in reality it was much farther away (means of transportation required). Communication with the property manager is also slow and the channels provided by HOMEWAY were not used. Also noteworthy is the proximity to the construction of a tourist resort (about 100 meters) which causes a lot of noise in the surroundings (we wake up every day with the noise of the machines working).

Wonderful stay in an area I know well. The villa was spotlessly clean and suited our needs really well. A great base for exploring the area, close to all the beaches a supermarket within easy walking distance and a nice little mini market just across to road. Some lovely places to eat in this very quiet part of the Algarve away from the main towns but within easy reach of Albufeira. I would definitely recommend this lovely place.

Fabulous holiday

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Gale. This was our fourth, each time we have enjoyed our holiday. This time was made extra special by the team behind this villa! On searching for a villa to accommodate our party of 12, we came across Casa Monteiro. It had all the criteria to meet our needs and was much better value than the previous villas we had stayed in. I contacted them and was greeted with an email by return from Surah. From the start, the process of booking was friendly and efficient. I was a little worried at first as there had been so many scare stories of scams in the press about booking direct with the owners. I need not have worried. We were due to arrive at the villa about 12 noon. Access to the villa was available from 2pm to allow for cleaning from previous guests. However we were warmly greeted by Maria the housekeeper and our luggage was safely stored in the villa whilst we went to get some lunch. When we returned the villa was pristine! During the holiday Maria kept the villa beautifully clean with visits every other day, thoroughly cleaning & changing towels etc. The pool area was great, very spacious and got the sun from sunrise to sunset. With lots of sunloungers & mattresses! Dining was lovely under the gazebo All the bedrooms were comfortable, each with its own bathroom. The villa is very well situated with the beaches just a stones throw away. There are plenty of restaurants serving delicious Portuguese food and a couple of bars within easy walking distance If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable holiday. This is the villa for you.
