Oceanfront Private Beach! Family friendly, Multi-Generational House by Acadia!

Oceanfront with 325' of Private Sandy Beach. Home decorated with antiques but with modern appliances. Private location down quiet dirt road. Around thirty minutes to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Fifteen minutes to town of Ellsworth with excellent restaurants and great shops!

Outdoors: Firepit (permit required) with wooden seats, large front porch overlooking water with picnic tables to eat outside, smaller front porch with wooden rockers overlooking small kids play area.

First Floor: Eat-in Kitchen with new appliances and large kitchen table. Everything you need to have a lobster bake or family breakfast! Large living room with TV and gas fireplaces as well as two sofas and comfortable chairs. Bathroom with shower and washer/dryer. Bedroom with queen bed and fireplace.

Second Floor: Bathroom with separate tub and shower, and double sink vanity. One Bedroom with two full beds, electric fireplace and ocean view. Second Bedroom with queen size bed, crib, and beautiful ocean views. Third Bedroom with queen size bed.

Second floor: Up separate set of stairs from the kitchen is a master bedroom and master bathroom that is also connected through a hallway to the other bedrooms. King size bed in master bedroom with amazing ocean views. Master bathroom has bubbling heated tub and separate shower.

Absolutely NO PETS (due to allergies in the family). No smoking.

The maximum people allowed is 12.

Children welcome! Family Friendly!

Owner will occasionally stay on adjoining property.

The house and the location were amazing. 5 siblings and spouses with plenty of room, inside and out. An excellently equipped kitchen. The beach/cove were beautiful, private and provided lots of beach combing opportunities.

Our family of 12, 7 adults and 5 littles, enjoyed a fabulous family vacation in this beautiful, waterfront home. The spacious home provides everything you might need from kitchen supplies, games, beach toys, fire pit and a big beautiful porch and patio. We enjoyed several meals together outside with plenty of seating for all. It was truly incredible to be able to walk down to the beach, search for sea shells, play in the sand and spy seals swimming in the water. We definitely look forward to returning. Thank you, Cynthia for opening your home, being so attentive to details and checking in to make sure all was well.

We had the best time staying at Apple Shores. Cyndy was incredibly communicative and helpful with suggestions for the area. We had four kids under ten, 4 adults and two seniors. The house fit us perfectly. It has lots of toys for the little ones, including ample sand toys. We had kayaks delivered by A1, who was fabulous, and we enjoyed kayaking in the bay seeing seals, loons, and enjoying the serenity. The walk down to the beach was a little tricky for my parents, one of whom has a bad knee, but the side walk near the blueberry barn made it easier. Just something to keep in mind if you have someone who is mobility impaired. My children were so sad to leave, and we would love to come back again and explore some more. Thank you Cyndy!

Maine family stay

Was a great place to bring your family and have a reunion. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The host was amazing and hospitable with great advice where to go.

Lovely place for a family vacation

We loved staying at this house for our family vacation. The design and antiques in the home make it super charming. We loved the location being on the river and seeing the tides. The host was super helpful and communicated greatly.

Wonderful house in an incredible location!

It was great for or family reunion, a 34 year old birthday, and a wonderful time unwinding. We saw a fox, deer, star fish, chipmunks, squirrels, and a baby bear!

Summer in Maine

A great location for families- very quiet and everything available for all ages. We had day trips daily around Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but returned to Lamoine each afternoon. Whale watching out of Bar Harbor as well hikes in Acadia made for a great vacation.

Great place for family time. Nice beach to explore, plenty of toys for the children, puzzles to complete during rainy days, house with cozy areas for conversation and alone time, full kitchen to cook anything you can think of especially lobster, reasonable drive to Bar Harbor, and your own place to spend quality time with your family.

Such a beautiful house and property! I was repeatedly amazed at how quiet it was, especially while kayaking. The only sounds were usually the breeze and birds, and nothing else! Cyndy was a great host with many helpful suggestions. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful family getaway. About 45 minutes to Bar Harbour, 20 minutes to Ellsworth for groceries, restaurants, etc.

Our host and the house were absolutely wonderful! The home was beautiful, very roomy and fully equipped and we were able to have a terrific lobster and clam dinner on our last night. Having a private beach was fabulous for our two toddlers as were the toys Cynthia left after asking us the kids ages. She had great suggestions on where to go for sites and food. A sister’s trip

The home is nestled in the trees and on a private shore. It was very clean we enjoyed sitting on the back porch and the scenery was beautiful. We found sea glass.

Attentive home owner was very accommodating

We had an amazing time at the property. The backyard and Beach area is gorgeous in the fall when we went. The owner was very quick to answer any questions I had and was very good about preparing the home for my 1.5 year old son. My family group of 8 had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this to a family looking for a quiet New England retreat!

Pictures don’t do it justice

We had a fantastic stay. We were a family of 11, from a newborn to my 77 year old father and everyone was comfortable. We loved exploring the property and beach. We collected mussels for dinner at low tide. Cyndy provided us so many great local recommendations and we really appreciated her hospitality. Hope to return one day!

Great Family Vacation Spot

Our extended family had the pleasure of staying in Lamoine for a week. We enjoyed the fire pit, collected mussels, and made many memories in this quaint farmhouse. Our host was very attentive and had many suggestions for us during our stay. The location of this house was great for all of our adventures, as we traveled into Bar Harbor and Acadia Park. Everyone, young and old, had a lovely time and we look forward to returning to the area again in the future!

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property over 40 years ago and imagined spending time with my children and grandchildren looking for sand dollars, sea glass and playing in the sand. My dream has come true!

What makes this property unique

The gradual sandy beach is the perfect place for a beach getaway. Close enough to some incredible attractions (Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor) but far enough away to enjoy a quiet vacation.
