Eine schöne Ferienwohnung für Ruhe- und Erholungssuchende

Wir, meine Frau und ich, haben in dieser schönen und sehr ordentlichen Ferienwohnungsanlage zwei sehr erholsame Urlaubswochen verbracht. Die Wohnung bietet mit Klimaanlage, zwei Bädern und einer komplett ausgestatteten Küche einen ausreichenden Komfort. Als sehr angenehm haben wir die zur Wohnung gehörende Dachterrasse empfunden. Die Zugänge zur Wohnanlage sind durch einen Zahlencode an den Zugängen gesichert, so dass Fremde keinen Zutritt haben. Am schier endlosen Strand direkt vor der Wohnung herrscht nicht das anderswo übliche Gedränge. Es gibt auch niemanden, der ihnen am Strand etwas verkaufen möchte. Im kleinen Ortsteil Galati sind ein Restaurant das regionalen Köstlichkeiten auftischt. Des Personal dort ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt so ziemlich jeden kullinarischen Wunsch. Eine Bar, ein Alimentari und eine Macelleria runden die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den täglichen Bedarf ab. In Brancaleone sind die Möglichkeiten etwas umfangreicher. Das etwa eine Autostunde entfernte Reggio lädt zum Bummeln ein. Wenn sie Trubel und ähnliches erwarten sind sie in Brancaleone am falschen Ort. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter geht schnell und ohne Komplikationen über Hany, SMS o. ä. Vor Ort ist ein fleißiger "Hausgeist", der alles was für die Ferienwohnung nötig ist beschafft oder erledigt. Es war ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub. :-)

Un très beau séjour au calme dans un petit coin de paradis

Appartement très agréable, très propre, bien équipé: rien ne manque, la climatisation est très efficace. La Résidence est calme, très peu occupée dans notre période fin-juin, début juillet. La terrasse plein ciel, face aux étoiles, un vrai régal pour les soirées. Situation avec accès direct à la mer, avec transats et parasol sur place. Mer très propre. Check-in et check-out bien assurés , sans complications. Eviter grosse voiture car accès plutôt étroit. Nous pourrions y revenir avec plaisir

War ein sehr schöner und ruhiger Urlaubsort.Nur schwer zu finden. Super Wetter

Es ein sehr schönes und sauberes Appartement. Leider nur schwer zu finden . Eine tolle Aussicht auf das Meer. Man sollte sich nur vorher mit der Vermieterin gut absprechen zwecks Wegbeschreibung etc. und sich den Namen Galati merken. Auf gar keinen Fall mit einem Transporter VW Bus oder ähnlichem anreisen. Das größte was auf dieser Zufahrt passt, wäre ein SUV mit guten Reifen für den Schotter weg . Nur 2 km entfernt gibt es eine wunderschöne Pizzeria. Der Ort Brancaleone liegt etwa 4 km entfernt und ist zu Fuß schlecht zu erreichen. Ansonsten hat alles gut funktioniert. Solltet ihr die Galati nicht finden wendet euch an die Karabinieri . Die haben uns auch sehr freundlich dort hinbegleitetet.

Una vacanza in pieno relax

Tutto perfettamente corrispondente alla descrizione, il terrazzo in particolare con la sua splendida vista mare ci ha deliziato a colazione, pranzo e cena. Mare bellissimo ed inoltre la signora Mary ci ha fornito un ombrellone e 2 lettini che abbiamo lasciato sulla spiaggia tutti i 15 giorni.Nessun problema devo dire, ci ritorneremo senz'altro.

Mehr Beachfront geht nicht!

Volle Punktzahl von uns! o Außerordentlich freundliche und kommunikative Vermieter. o Erstklassige Ausstattung mit Infos rund um das Objekt und die Umgebung. o Sehr gut und komfortabel ausgestattetes Appartement. o Hilfsbereite Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort. Die Liste ließe sich noch verlängern... Wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub. Nicht nur der atemberaubende Blick von der Dachterrasse, das ganze Anwesen ist gepflegt, der Strand ist sauber, leer und reicht soweit das Auge blicken kann. Ein ganz großes Pfund sind die Nachbarn, die teilweise Eigentümer sind (Tom, du bist wirklich ein feiner Kerl). Man wird freundlich begrüßt und bekommt jede Menge Tipps und fühlt sich fast wie in einer großen Familie. Ein Tipp noch von uns: In Richtung Norden findet man kurz vor der Stadt Locri die Ausgrabungsstätte einer antiken griechischen Stadt. Das war beeindruckend. Weniger gut: Wir vermissen jetzt zuhause die Meeresbrandung beim Einschlafen... ;)

Un superbe séjour pour un séjour inoubliable

Nous avons passé des vacances formidables dans cet appartement. Idéal pour quatre personnes, l'appartement est très bien situé avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et des levés et couchers de soleils sur la Méditerranée à couper le souffle. L'accueil qui nous a été réservé a été très chaleureux avec des propriétaires aux petits soins. Une préparation de notre voyage très bien organisé par Lucy, très présente pour nous aider sur ce séjour. Un grand merci. Une location donc idéale. Merci +++++

Mehr Meerblick geht nicht ! Super erholsam mit kleinen Herausforderungen

Die Wohnung hatte alles, was man für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub benötigt. Einfach traumhaft der Meerblick vom Balkon und vor allem von der riesigen Dachterrasse. Die Anfahrt stellt fahrtechnisch eine kleine Herausforderung da. Vor ca. 2 Jahren wurde die Anfahrtsstraße weggespült , so daß ist die Wohnanlage nur durch einen fast ausgetrockneten schmalen Wasserkanal unter der Bahntrasse (-die sich direkt hinter der Anlage befindet aber überhaupt nicht stört) anfahrbar ist. Internet völlig problemlos, für deutsche Fernsehfans leider keine Programme verfügbar. Die Duschkabinen sind nichts für kräftige Gäste ( ca. 65cmx65cm mit schmalem Eckeinstieg). Die schöne Poolanlage befindet sich in einem anderen Teil der Anlage (ca. 1km entfernt), erreichbar eigentlich nur mit dem Auto. Über diese kleinen Einschränkungen sieht man aber gerne hinweg, denn die sehr gepflegte gut gesicherte Anlage bietet einen tollen Erholungswert, wenn man abseits des Touristentrubels in völliger Ruhe in einer traumhaften Strandlokation seinen Urlaub im typischen Italien verbringen möchte. Ein großer Dank gilt Marie, die jeden Tag nach dem Rechten und unserem Wohlbefinden gesehen hat und immer sehr hilfsbereit war. Liebe Lucy, lieber David, danke , dass wir einen so schönen Urlaub in Eurer Wohnung verbringen durften!

Lovely relaxing break

It is absolutely the best place if you don't want a touristy area, are self sufficient and happy to get on with things. Two weeks here will gladden your soul and set you up for the daily grind at home. The apartment has everything you need and overlooks the beach and pending on time of year/weather the sea is to die for swimming wise. We love it so much we have been twice and will go back again but southern Italy is not for the faint hearted. Driving is tricksy and some basic Italian helps. Brancaleone has a train station which takes you up to Reggio the main city and that is really a must for a fabulous day out at the museum, shops and restaurants.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einer tollen Gegend

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit (ca. 2 Wochen) in dieser Ferienwohnung. Es hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Auch die Beschreibung zur Ferienwohnung ist voll und ganz zutreffend. Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend direkt am Meer mit einem tollen sauberen Strand. Hier gibt es kein Massentourismus, was für uns wichtig war. Wer sich erholen möchte und das italienische Leben leben möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Hinweis: Es fährt eine kleine Bahn hinter der Ferienanlage. Für uns war das nicht störend, aber das ist Geschmacksache.

Beautiful staying

Beautiful house right in front of the Ionian sea. The flat is really fully equipped with washing machine, dish washer, air cond, etc. High standard of finishing. When we got in the oven had not been used yet. The beach is right in front of the house so when we arrived we placed sun-beds, chairs and umbrellas (everything provided by the owner) and we never moved them till when we left. We really suggest the house for families with kids. Also the flat is within a complex of other flats and we met very interesting people coming from all over the world. Resuming: we think we will go back there soon and we really suggest this place to everybody

Cream of Galati

We spent a wonderful week in Galati. Mornings and late afternoons were spent swimming in the lovely sea and on what was effectively a a private beach. The apartment with its rooftop patio and kitchen balcony was ideal for reading, relaxing and bird watching (feathered kind) courtesy of a house martin's nest on the balcony. Galati itself supplied bakery,butchers, bar and a choice of good,reasonably priced restaurants. The nearby village of Palazzi has a lovely patisserie/bar just up from a supermarket. Brancaleone, in the opposite direction has a good range of supermarkets and vegetable shops as well as restaurants and cafe/bars and very important a bank machine! Marie is very helpful and will tell you about markets etc. We stayed 8 nights and felt ready to take on the world again when we were leaving. We really enjoyed our sojourn in Galati.

Far away in Italy

We spent two relaxing weeks in very nice place. This year (2014) we will go there again. There is a real Italy, where live flows very slowly and gives you chance to forgot about a daily problems. If you like silent, sandy beach in front of you apartment and you don't like crowds this is a best palce (especially in the end of summer). The apartment is nice, good equipped (two bathrooms) with big roof tarrace. The Galati is very small village with a best small pizzeria (very good and cheap). To Brancaleone only few minutes (depending how you drive, like Italians or like non Italian, then few minutes more) by car where you can find more restaurants, shops and supermarkets and car is only one thing which you should bring with you to this palce (unless you want to stay whole time in Galati), everything for good vacation you will find there, good accomodation, sun, sea, good food, relax and nice people.

Calabrian Paradise

We found the apartment very comfortable, well equipped and really clean. It is so close to the sea that you can actually hear the waves! The roof terrace was one of our favourite spots. With a huge parasol, it's a perfect place to read books or have lunch or coffee. We watched the sun rise a few times from there and the view was absolutely breathtaking! Galati is a very small village with one shop where you can buy bread, milk,fruit and other essentials. The shop owners are terribly nice and will help you get what you want even if you don't speak a word of Italian. There is also a butcher and another shop with newspapers and what-nots (I managed to get a varnish remover there!). There are one or two places to eat in Galati - very basic, but the food is fresh, home made and very reasonably priced. We had a car rented and did a few trips here and there and bigger shopping in the supermarket in Brancaleone, c. 15 min drive. If you are planning on renting a car beware of Italian drivers. They seem to treat the road signs as non-obligatory indicators! We spent two weeks in Galati and loved every minute of it (in fact we have already booked the place for Sep 2014!). There were days when we had the whole beach to ourselves! Galati is a very quiet, low key place - exactly what we were looking for. It is a place where people still don't lock cars or houses, where you can buy things in a shop and pay the next day if you happened to forget your purse, where they will round the bill down for you in a restaurant! It is an oasis for people who want to escape the crowds (we live in London), slow down, forget about the clocks, schedules etc. and just BE.
