Our stay was wonderful! We have a property elsewhere on the lake and rented this cabin to have space for some extra guests. I've been coming to this lake for over 45 years and it's still the favorite, even after visiting and renting places on many other lakes in Wisconsin and Minnesota over the years. Evelyn was a very pleasant, accommodating and responsive host through the whole process. The home was very clean and comfortable for our group of 10.

This was our seconds stay at shy away lodge. Absolutely great. Happy to have the air conditioning because it was so hot. We will be back again for sure.

We had a wonderful week! The home is exactly as described- we traveled with 6 adults, 3 children and dog and fit comfortably! The lake was great for fishing, tubing, etc. Brian and Evie were so kind and accommodating to our needs! The check in process was super easy! We can’t wait to make this our new family tradition!

The pontoon was so clean my kids thought it was new. The house was one of the cleanest we have rented. The hosts were eager to help us in any way, prompt replies.The kitchen had everything you would possibly need. The lake was beautiful and there was a good view from the dock. The downstairs was even better than upstairs. Little time was spent down there, other than sleeping. We waited a whole year for this week and were not disappointed.THANK YOU

We enjoyed the fishing. Getting to the lake was a little challenging. The cottage was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed using the pontoon boat.

This cabin was amazing—spacious, spotless, and with a beautiful view from the living room! The kitchen had everything we needed, even a crockpot for fall chili. We loved the basement hangout space and spent most of our time outdoors fishing and relaxing.The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and even checked in to see how our trip was going. The location and cabin were perfect—definitely a 6 out of 5 stars experience! We’ll be back for another fall getaway!

Our family of 8, including 2 grandchildren, had just a wonderful week at this large, beautiful lake home. The check-in was easy, the owners were very responsive and accommodating, the home was very clean and had all the necessary amenities, and the location and lake itself were very beautiful. The very nice pontoon, swim raft, and the swimming area were great. We will definitely be coming back!

THE PERFECT FAMILY VACATION

This property is very clean and spacious. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful. Beautiful lake to enjoy fishing, kayaking, pontoon rides, reading a good book and relaxing in the hot tub.

Great stay at Lake Nancy

This is a magnificent location, with all aspects very well maintained. We were impressed by the owners' responsiveness on the occasions we had questions. This is, in many ways, an ideal vacation site.

beautiful cabin on Lake Nancy

Our family had a wonderful time at Shy Away Lodge. Wonderful accommodations for a large family to spend time together. Easy in and easy out. Pontoon boat rental was absolutely fantastic for family outing. This is the kind of place that could become a family annual tradition.

Family lake trip

Fabulous location and house. Furnishings are alittle dated and shabby but comfortable. Great hosts and great neighbors. We will rent it again as we love the location.

We just got new log bed in master bedroom, we try to keep up with the use from many and unfortunately the couch guests lay on it with wet hair being micro fiber it’s cleaned but may have to put arm coverings on to prevent that from happening. It’s a cabin so the furniture is very comfortable as we’ve received comments from our guests.

LOVE THIS PLACE!

Staying at Shy Away has become a wonderful summer tradition. The house is fantastic and the lake is one of the best in northern Wisconsin. Pontoon rental made for a great week, but the kids can also swim off the dock. Another great week in the books!

Home away from home

We love Shy Away Lodge! Great amenities, awesome location, great fishing, beautiful lake, fun for all! Beautiful cabin very spacious, clean, and feels like a home away from home. Could not ask for better hospitality from Brian and Evelyn, they are great to work with and we cannot wait to be back next year!
