The villa can be rented from Saturday to Saturday

The Villa has been completely revamped for 2024 with a top of the range air-conditioning system installed in all four bedrooms as well as in the living room. New ceilings, doors, floors, light fittings, beds, furniture as well painting gives the villa a fresh modern feel and looks like a brand new villa being let for the first time. Down stairs has been transformed to encompass two new bedrooms as well a new shower unit WC and and furniture all completely plumbed in order to replicate a new modern apartment style finish.
This modern villa is situated in the historic town of Argeles sur Mer on the route de Collioure only minutes from the modern Port and beaches. The villa has a private pool and garden and is situated on a quiet cul de sac within walking distance of all village amenities. Perpignan is a short drive or train journey. There are direct UK, Dutch and IRL flights to Perpignan (25 mins), Girona(40mins ) and Carcasonne (90mins), Barcelona (140mins). The famous town of Collioure is 5km from the villa via the coast route from la Racou. This mesmerizing walk or cycle via rolling vineyards and sea vistas. The famous Chateau Valmy is a 10 mins walk from the villa and the renound oak nature reserve forests are close by. The plage central of Argeles is walking distance away and the plage nord an 8 minute drive from the villa in the direction of St Cyprian. Argeles has a variety of activities for all age groups and is the ideal family destination.

Wonderful holiday in Argeles sir Mer

Property suited our group well. Future tenants should be aware of the rather steep stairs to lower level. Any queries/problems we had were dealt with by the owner & caretaker immediately. Could I suggest a “booklet” giving information on local attractions & transport options. I would certainly recommend this property with it’s beautiful pool as a wonderful holiday accommodation.

Great villa for a family holiday

We had a great 2 week stay at this villa which was perfect for our family of 5 children and 2 adults. Everyone had their own space and the villa had everything we needed. The very well maintained pool was particularly enjoyed by all of us as it was pretty hot there in July. Argeles is a really friendly town and it's also a great base for visiting the many lovely towns and beaches on that part of the coast. The Spanish border is just a few minutes drive so we were able to check out some Spanish villages and beaches too. We hope to return again next year. Thank you Tim!

Children loved the pool

Our French and the Villa Manager’s English was poor so welcome was not easy. However, the owner dealt promptly with the initial issues raised and even arranged for a plumber to come next morning who was excellent and sorted out a problem with one of the showers. Guests need to be aware that only one bath towel is provided per person and no hand towels or pool towels are provided. Only four chairs around a table in the living area but plenty of outside chairs and sun beds by the pool. Great location, 5 minutes drive to Racue beach, Port and one euro bus from Eric Cantona stadium (near Port) takes you to Collioure (well recommended). Plenty of markets around including a night market around the port. Children loved the pool and we all had a great holiday.

Perfect Villa!

We stayed at Karen and Tim's villa with our 4 children aged 23, 20, 17 and 10yr. The villa was perfect for our family - it felt so spacious and was impeccably clean! In fact it felt like a brand new villa as everything was so immaculate. The pool was lovely with plenty of sunbeds around it and 2 sets of outdoor seating areas each with 6 seats. Loved the fact it had off road parking which was behind a gate we could lock. Felt very secure. The air-conditioning in the living area and all bedrooms was very welcome as the weather was rather warm, as you would expect in the South of France. It was very peaceful - we never heard any of the neighbours. There weren't any shops within walking distance so you would definitely need a car whilst staying here. It was only a 5 minute drive to the local Lidl though, which had everything you could need. We spent most days at the beach in Argeles - lovely sandy beaches (the sand was a bit coarse so our 10yr old was a little disappointed when she couldn't build sandcastles) but the beautiful sea made up for it - so clear and calm. Even though we stayed in August the beaches were not over crowded and had plenty of parking. Went to Collioure a couple of evenings for dinner which I would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Karen and Tim for allowing us to spend our summer holiday in your gorgeous villa. We will recommend to all and hope to return ourselves one day! .

Maison agréable et fonctionnelle pour un séjour en famille (3 générations). Il a été possible de stationner jusqu’à 3 véhicules sans déranger les voisins (2 dans la propriété et 1 devant la maison).Quelques appréhensions sur la ligne ferrée attenante, mais la nuisance est éphémère, ponctuelle et peu invasive.La maison est située dans un coin calme mais les centres d’activités, restent à quelques minutes de voiture. Un petit plus pour la plage du Racou qui a eu nos faveurs pendant le séjour.Merci aux propriétaires qui ont été très réactif et très transparent lors de nos échanges.

Es war schön, die Lage ist top und das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Allerdings ist so einiges bereits in die Jahre gekommen… insgesamt fanden wir es etwas zu teuer. Der Strand wiederum ist sehr schön und es ist sehr ruhig. Man kann dort sehr gut Urlaub verbringen…

Perfekter Familienurlaub

Mit 8 Personen, darunter 2 Kleinkinder und 2 Teenager, verbrachten wir 2 traumhafte Wochen in Argelès sur mer. Die Villa sieht genauso aus wie auf den Bildern und hat alles was man für einen entspannten Sommerurlaub braucht. Die Räumlichkeiten sind großzügig, ebenso die Terrasse, so dass sich auch 8 Personen nicht auf die Füße treten ;-) Der Pool ist überraschend groß und die Terrasse sehr gepflegt. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt, sogar die Fahrräder der Eigentümer durften wir benutzen! Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war unkompliziert und direkt, die Hausverwalterin vor Ort ansprechbar und herzlich. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen :-) !

Es hat uns, als grosse Familie, sehr gut gefallen! Das Haus hat viel Platz und ist sehr schön. Super zentral gelegen und trotzdem ruhig. Alles mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreichbar! Der Pool ist groß und es sind genügend Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten gegeben! Die Kommunikation mit den Vermieter top! Alles im ganzen 5 Sterne wert!

Super séjour !

Nous avons passé un super séjour entre amis dans cette villa, qui correspond parfaitement aux photos de l’annonce, Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la personne qui s’occupe de la maison, et les consignes données par le propriétaire étaient simples et claires. Dommage que la villa se trouve assez loin du centre ville d’Argeles, cependant grâce aux vélos mis à disposition, en bonne état, nous sommes à environ 10min du centre.

Nous avons passé une semaine de vraies vacances.

Cette villa est grande. Il y a tout le confort d'une maison pour l'année. Clim, electro ménager, mobilier etc. font que vous n'avez qu'à vous concentrer sur vos vacances, sans tracasseries. C'est toujours ce que nous recherchons. Le confort . La piscine est très agréables et bien entretenue une fois par semaine. Un robot (on peut pas faire plus simple d'utilisation) est a disposition pour le petit nettoyage quotidien. Nos enfants faisaient plage le matin, (pour éviter la foule) et piscine l'après-midi. (pendant que nous, parents indignes, nous faisions des siestes niveau ligue des champions dans des chmabrs fraîches). La maison est très bien située. Impasse dans un lotissement. Aucun passage de véhicules. La très porche proximité de la voie ferrée nous faisait un peu peur au début, en lisant un commentaire. On vous rassure, c'est un non sujet. Il y a très peu de traffic. La voie est une voie baissée par rapport à la maison et le mur fonctionne à merveille. Pour info, assis sur la terrasse, le train passant, on peut tenir une conversation sans souci. Et vu que nous dormions avec la clim, on entend rien. La maison est très proche des plages sud et du port de plaisance (avec commerces et restaurants). La maison est à l'opposée des zones de campings industriels. Aucun problème d'embouteillages comme on a pu voir à Argelès nord. Il faut 5 minutes montre en main (semaine du 15 août) pour aller de la maison à la plage du Racou. (plage que les enfants préféraient). On sent que le propriétaire fait tout pour suivre l'état de sa maison. Je lui avait fait part quelque jours avant notre arrivée de l'importance de la clim pour nous. (raisons médicales). Il m'a dit qu'il y avait un souci avec une en toute transparence. (sur les 6 de la maison). Le jour de notre arrivée, on a appris qu'un réparateur avait passé 4 heures pour la remettre en état avant notre arrivée. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le geste, sachant que 5 pièces climatisées sur les six de la maison suffisaient amplement quoi qu'il arrive. (nous étions que 4) Nous avons fait part au propriétaire d'un ou deux petits soucis mineurs d'intendance, ils nous a déjà répondu. Il est clair que c'est un propriétaire qui suit son bien et fait tout pour l'améliorer. La table de ping pong est un vrai plus, même si elle est en interieur. Les enfants en ont bien profité. C'est mieux que la Switch !

Pas "fantastique"

Points positifs : localisation et maison spacieuse. Points négatifs : vaisselle sale à relaver avant utilisation. Grille pain inutilisable car fait sauter les plombs. Lave vaisselle hors service, l'eau ne d'évacue pas. Canapé dans un état déplorable, le revêtement en Skaï part en lambeaux. Vélos mis à disposition inutilisables, pneus à plat ou crevés, pompe à vélo hs donc impossible de connaître le problème. Pas de table à manger en cas de mauvais temps, celle de la cuisine trop petite pour le nombre de personnes. Globalement beaucoup de problèmes matériels qui pourraient être résolus si l'entretien était assuré et vérifié. Le mot " fantastique" pour le titre de l'annonce est très surfait. Dommage, car le potentiel est là.

Jolie maison, a proximité des plages

La maison est grande est située dans une impasse très calme et proche des plages en voiture (parking gratuit). La piscine est grande et de ce fait il n'y a plus beaucoup de place dans la cour. Le point négatif a notre sens est le train qui passe juste derriere la maison. Heureusement que la climatisation permet de dormir les fenêtres fermées. La maison est bien équipée.

Spring in the south

We found this villa in Argeles very comfortable and convenient. It was perfectly clean and described accurately on the website. Arrival was straightforward and we had been given all the information we needed. Soon after we arrived in fact, someone called to the door to make sure that everything was okay for us. The owner was easy to contact at all times before and during our stay. It is a convenient spot for exploring the whole area and we visited the local market in Collioure and also the fishing villages of Port Vendres and Cerbere. We didn’t have children in our party but I can imagine how they would have enjoyed the pool at the villa, and the long sandy beach close by.
