Thank you Victoria. You are welcome anytime. Your stay came at the end of the pandemic during which we had been separated from the villa. Since then we have upgraded and renovated the villa somewhat including installing a fresh lawn, renewing the pool, adding a 55” up to date ‘smart’ tv, new fridges and freshly decorating the interior of the villa. We took your comment that it seemed a mite tired to heart and have freshened it up throughout accordingly.

Thanks for your comments. Regarding pool temperature; although the pool has a solar panel powered heating system, it depends upon good sunshine for as long as possible to maximise the heat. Since your stay we have added a retractable pool cover to retain the heat during the longer cool winter nights and as a result the pool temperature during the colder winter period is generally between 75 and 78 degrees fahrenheit, providing the pool cover is closed at night to retain the heat accumulated during the sunny days.

These were the worst and rudest guests ever to have been visited our villa; they were truly the visitors from Hell. From the moment they arrived they were rude and "ordered" Beverley who supervises the villa in Gran Canaria, and has done for a very long time, to do a number of things (which we are normally happy to do, without being obliged) but then for her to be insulted and shouted at and called a liar when they couldn't find a nearby recommended restaurant ("Il Gustavo for those that know it) , to order taxis before being ready and then blame the taxi is is one thing but to blame and accuse Beverley of lying when all we tried to do was be of assistance was beyond the pale. We do like to help guests from time to time, but we do not offer a full conceirge service. On arrival at the villa at their request some 2 days later to check some items they reported we discovered the following; 1. The air conditioning in full use with windows and doors open - negating the effect of the air conditioning and potentially causing damage. In any case - the airconditioning is not rerquired in the mild month of April. 2. There was a broken hook in the ensuite bathroom which was broken during their stay 3.The bathroom door lock "didn't work" - actually it did, - although slightly stiff and they had obviously mishandled it, but in any case easily serviceable. 4. The pool had been filled up to overflowing potentially causing garden flooding; this could only have been done by them since the pool technician had checked the pool between 6.30-7.15 that very morning. We ask all guests not to tamper with the pool, especially the water level. 5. The house appeared to be a complete mess 6. They had planned a specific birthday party EVENT without notifying us in advance and indeed a party took place on the evening of 26 April. Our HOUSE RULES state specifically NO EVENTS and this was arguably a significant breach - although we are often very reasonable in this and do accept such events if clearly notified in advance including full details of numbers. None of these items are problematic in terms of our ability to correct them Beverley arranged a plumber to attend the house within 24 hours of the complaint and at latest 9.00 am Thursday. They refused to allow attmittance and because of these were also unable to resolve the minor issues they had raised with us. I have communicated all of these matters in email for on a day by day basis alerting vrbo at every stage of how rude and difficult these unruly people were. We also lodged an official complaint about this awful group of people to vrbo half way through their stay and would advise anyone against renting to them. Please read the other reviews which give an honest flavour of how people have enjoyed our villa.

With regard to the WiFi - the system was unavailable during your stay as new high frequency cables were laid by Movistar/Telefonica to upgrade the entire area and as such was outside our control and also running behind schedule. The WiFi should have been operational on July 19 and we literally did not know from day to day when it would finally be up and running - happily we now have a new and much improved 21st century connection ! I am afraid we no longer offer a barbecue for guests - we have however no objection to guests bringing in and using temporary portable barbecues,

Estaremos encantados de tenerle de regreso en cualquier momento y tenemos algunas oportunidades limitadas, incluido el 12 al 20 de septiembre y también en octubre. Normalmente hay una segunda piscina grande compartida disponible para los residentes, pero como saben, en estas difíciles ocasiones de Covid 19, no podemos permitir que los huéspedes la usen debido a la estricta rotación que se ha impuesto.
