Godrevy View is a two bedroomed property situated only 10 minutes walk away from St Ives' main attractions and beaches - up a steepish hill so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. The property has an open plan living area (23 foot long) with vaulted ceilings and double doors opening out onto a decked balcony - seating includes an oversized, mid-century styled sofa and two arm chairs. The dining area has a dining table and seating for 6 and the kitchen has fully integrated appliances including a washing machine and dishwasher. The two bedrooms (one double and one twin) have doors leading out onto a balcony and a landscaped garden with with sea views - perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a pre dinner drink.

Great Stay

Great little house. Private parking was a bonus. Within walking distance to St Ives but can see where the hill may be a challenge for some. The host, Neil, was very quick to answer any questions we had. Only one suggestion, a hand rail near the tub would be helpful, the step into and out of the tub is a little tricky. We are from the states and our tubs are not quite so high. Overall experience was great and would stay again.

Fabulous 4-night stay

I couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay in St. Ives. Great location, nice views, beautiful property. Clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, and everything you need. Nicely stocked co-op just down the road a bit, easily walkable to St. Ives and there are loads of taxis if you don’t want to walk uphill back to the house. It was 10 times better than I thought it would be. Neil was super responsive from the questions I asked while planning my visit several months ago right through to the detailed instructions provided just before I arrived. I am very pleased with my stay and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Not as expected

The property is very tired, it needs a good decoration It is on a noisy bus route, twenty buses each hour passed by. The sea view is along way away. The property does not get alot of sun on it. Needed to get a bus up and down to the village each day, as on a very steep hill. Not value for money very overpriced.

April, Easter holiday stay

Such a comfortable house. Really spacious interior. We we very lucky having a week of sunshine so were out most days on the beach but if weather had been poor, we would have been happy to relax in the house as it was so nice.We stayed with our dog and 8 year old child/ The secure garden makes it ideal to do so.Quite an easy walk down into St Ives from the house. Bit of a hill to climb on the return but it kept us feeling fit!Would definitely recommend this place and would return.

Relaxing time

We really enjoyed our stay, had no problems with parking or pretty much anything. It was clean and very user friendly ie tv, coffee,tea,sugar even the shower was good. Even our dog loved the garden. Any grumble would be the hill climb may be tough for some and the nearby co op was expensive but overall we would love to stay again sometime in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wunderschön

Das Haus von Neil ist sehr geschmackvoll, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Was man wissen sollte: Das Haus liegt in St. Ives oben auf dem Hügel. Wenn man in die Stadt will, muss man ca. 20 Minuten bergauf gehen. Für die Ausflüge ist ein PKW von Vorteil! Ansonsten ist Cornwall wunderschön. Wir waren im Oktober dort und hatten viel Glück mit dem Wetter, so dass wir viele Strandspaziergänge unternommen haben

Wonderful stay

Beautiful location, with all that we needed! We loved the views, the outdoor seating and the cottage had all that we needed. We will be back! Very much recommended, there is a hill you have to walk up, but very worthwhile!

Lovely well equipped holiday home

We very much enjoyed our stay in Neil’s house. There was everything you could ask for to make it a great home from home. Location was good although the hill is steep as other reviews suggest, it wasn’t a problem for us. There is a bus which runs nearby down into St Ives if you don’t fancy the walk. All in all a great week. Thanks Neil.

Absolutely amazing

We stayed here for two weeks, family of 4 with our pooch. We absolutely loved it. It was just what we wanted. Excellent facilities, brilliant location and fab communication from the owner. Looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Second time guests

After a pleasant stay in 2023 we decided to book the house again for 2024. We felt at home even when I got sick during our stay. The co-op right around the corner is very convenient. The terrace could have been cleaner but otherwise everything was great.

Tolles Ferienhaus im wunderschönen St. Ives

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist perfekt für eine Familie mit kleinem Hund, die Einrichtung modern, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Besonders gut hat uns der Blick aus dem Wohnraum über den Ort bis aufs Meer gefallen. Der ganze Ort lässt sich zu Fuß erschließen. Als wir Probleme mit der Elektrik hatten, wurden diese umgehend behoben. Toller Gastgeber!

Heel leuk verblijf, waar alles is voorzien. Goede kwaliteit van bedden, goed uitgeruste keuken. Mooie volledig omheinde tuin, met veel zonnige plaatsen. Altijd parkeer gelegenheid voor het verblijf.klein warenhuis vlakbij. 10 minuutjes wandelen naar het strand van St Ives.

Excellent Accommodation

Lovely, light, spacious and clean accommodation with a stunning view of the sea, modern tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings. The directions were spot on and great to have two parking spaces if needed. We would definitely recommend this property.

Comfortable and fun place in St Ives

The property had everything we needed and host was really responsive and helpful. Location was great with nice views and an easy walking distance to St Ives town and beaches. Parking also really easy and hassle-free. The property has enough space for a family of 4 plusbdog. We appreciated the drying rack for wet beach gear.

We had a wonderful stay after a warm welcome. Everything was just perfect for us. My husband, my daughter, my dog and me enjoyed every minute. We even liked the way up the hill. Especially after cream tea. A good training. Thanks!

Kurzbericht

Die Unterkunft ist super. Alles ist sehr modern, gut ausgestattet, geräumig und sehr gepflegt. Die Außenanlage und Terrasse ist gut nutzbar, man hat sogar den Anblick des Meeres. Der Weg in den Hafen, in die Stadt und an die Strände ist kurz, man wohnt sehr zentral. Ein gut sortierter Verbrauchermarkt für die täglichen Einkäufe ist in direkter Umgebung (3 Min.). Der Parkplatz vor der Unterkunft ist groß. Auslauf für den Hund gibt es ebenfalls in direkter Nachbarschaft. Alles in Allem ist die Unterkunft klasse und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Begrüßung mit einem Paket das regionale Spezialitäten (Scones, Kekse Saft etc.) enthielt war genauso Perfekt wie alles andere in der Unterkunft auch. Der einzige Wehmutstropfen für uns "Landeier" war die vom PKW-Verkehr recht stark frequentierte Straße vor dem Haus (Schlafzimmern). Das sind wir nicht gewohnt und haben es deshalb als störend empfunden. Das war aber nur ein wirklich sehr kleiner Wehmutstropfen. Alles Andere hat absolut gepasst. Eine klasse Unterkunft!!!

Tolles Haus mit wunderbarer Terrasse

Das Haus war genauso schön wie auf den Fotos und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Auch bei Regenwetter ist es sehr gemütlich im Haus, man kann aber sogar auch auf der Terrasse sitzen, da es auch einen überdachten Teil gibt. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich und mit allergikerfreundlicher Bettwäsche ausgestattet. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und auch die Waschmaschine war praktisch. Die Lage ist super, denn man ist in einer Viertelstunde im Ort und am Strand. Ein Supermarkt mit leckeren Brötchen ist in zwei Minuten Fußentfernung. Wir würden das Haus sofort wieder buchen.

Schöne Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung ist grosszügig, sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet, auf den schönen Terrassensitzplätzen haben wir unseren Apero genossen. Der Gastgeber Neil kommuniziert unkompliziert und schnell. Alles hat perfekt geklappt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
