'Out of the Blue' is a former estate cottage, which has been lovingly restored and given a new lease of life. Situated in the picturesque village of Fowey, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, the cottage gives easy access to all Fowey has to offer. With its winding streets, traditional houses, colourful cottages and its literary and maritime history from Pirates to twenty first century cruise ships, Fowey has something for everyone to enjoy-quaint gift and antique shops, a fantastic choice of pubs and restaurants, kayaking for the more adventurous, leisurely river cruises, numerous walks from the doorstep, crabbing and fishing from the slipway or simply watching the world go by from the window.

I can’t praise Out of the Blue or Debbie and Chris enough. The place itself is beautiful and in the perfect location just a few minutes walk out of the centre of Fowey. So it’s quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the river Fowey. It was beautifully clean when we arrived and in terms of the kitchen there’s everything there you could want or need should you want to cook and have a quiet night in.Debbie and Chris were fantastic in terms of their communication. We’d visited Fowey a good many times previously but never stayed. Debbie’s information was invaluable and helped make our stay just that much easier and enjoyable.I heartily recommend and have no doubt we too will be back at some point.Again my sincerest thanks, John.

Brilliant Holiday Stay

Thanks to Debbie and Chris for a fab stay at their cottage. Check-in was easy. The cottage and location excellent for Fowey high street and all the shops and restaurants. The kitchen, had everything we needed and was well thought through! Lots of helpful info on what to do in the area too. Our kids loved the crabbing off the slip way in front of the house! View of the water excellent and fun watching the ferry go to and fro as well as all the yatchs and boats. We had a lovely stay!

Perfect spot for staying in Fowey

We loved the flat. Beautifully decorated, ideally located, and amply equipped. The view was unbeatable, watching the ferry and boats go back and forth. We would highly recommend this very comfortable and idyllic stay

Out of the Blue: a prefect place to stay

The best part of the house was the view on the river Fowey and all the boats passing by and the ferry that went every 10 minutes. The house was beautiful modern equipped and comfortable. Things like coffee pads, tea, sugar etc. were provided. In front of the house there was a nice area to sit and watch boats and people go by. We had a terrific time! There are lots of places to eat out or have a drink in Fowey. A perfect house in a perfect place!

Lovely cottage

A lovely cottage, compact and just right for two people. Tastefully decorated and everywhere looking clean and fresh, with everything you might need. Fabulous view of the waterfront and the nearby Bodinnick ferry (which isn't noisy at all) and a pleasant stroll into the centre of Fowey.Car park is close by but it can be difficult to find a space - you just have to wait!

Good location with River View

Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Excellent river view to front from elevated position . Temporary parking outside to unload is permitted . Good public parking 200 yards. 16 for a week. Only negatives, single toilet on ground floor , beds first floor; steep steps from road to front door.

Magic stay in Fowey

Lovely apartment, beautifully decorated, all you need (and more) for a comfortable stay, with great views of the River Fowey. Fowey itself is a hidden gem, so full of character and the single narrow main street discourages general flow through traffic, ensuring it is lovely and quiet.

Wonderful home-from-home with outstanding views

This was our third stay at Out of the Blue and we had another wonderful experience. We love feeling so at home in this comfortable and clean cottage with incredible views of the river. Easy walk into town, and Caffa Mill car park is close by. Fowey is a fantastic place, very welcoming and lots of fun. Many thanks Debbie and Chris for all your help, wonderful hosts

Just wonderful

This is a beautiful cottage with all the comforts and conveniences of home. The view over the estuary is stunning! The location is great, and parking is very close by. We had such a lovely stay and really enjoyed exploring Fowey and the surrounding area. The owner is very lovely and helpful, and they have really thought about how they can make your stay even better than you expect.

Lovely house

Beautifully presented house, very clean, very well equipped, it was lovely sitting outside the front of the house with the river view. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend. Parking was no trouble, car park a very short walk.

Great stay right in the middle of town

Beautifully decorated house , very well equipped, and lovely layout. The views are incredible due to its elevated location . Bedrooms were of good size with plenty of cupboard space. If you prefer a queter stay, choose the bsck room as the ferry starts at 6.30am .. Lovely to see though . Short walk into town so very easy for supplies, restaurants and bars. Thank you Debbie for making this stay so smooth .

Fantastic property, great location and views

We have just returned from a 3 night stay and it was truly memorable. The property was very clean and bright, with everything you'd need, the information provided by Debbie and Chris was comprehensive, including places to eat and see. The Caffa Mill car park was nearby (£6.95 per 24hrs), we came in this way to avoid the narrow streets from the other direction as it was quite busy, and is a short walk to the property. We really enjoyed our stay and would really recommend this property, and would love to come back again in the future.

The perfect spot.

We really enjoyed our stay at ‘Out of the Blue’. The house, accessed via steep stone steps, was perfectly located to watch the comings and goings on the river. The accommodation was bright and airy and very clean. Everything we needed was to hand. We stayed 4 nights and left our car in the main carpark which was very reasonably priced at £15 for the whole of our stay. Spaces are competitive so be aware you may not be able to park when you return after a day trip. Everyone in the town was very friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of eateries to suit all tastes and budgets but of course a Cornish Pasty is a must and there are plenty to buy. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you very much.

Out of the Blue has amazing river views. The ever changing view from the window never ceases to amaze us and guests. From people fishing and crabbing from the slipway, gig racing, boating and mini car ferry activity to the Pilot boat, Tug and large ships sailing by - there is always something to see.
