La villa de piedra tradicional Meliti se encuentra en el pintoresco pueblo de Fontana, en la isla de Paxos. La villa tiene vistas al mar Jónico y al continente griego. La villa, aunque bastante moderna en instalaciones, fue construida con la famosa piedra de Paxos con respecto a la arquitectura y el estilo tradicionales. Está rodeado por un gran jardín con piscina y amplia terraza, que ofrecen privacidad y relajación durante todo el día y la noche. Una de las ventajas de la casa es que los visitantes pueden disfrutar de una privacidad casi absoluta en la casa, ya que está situada en medio de los olivares, y al mismo tiempo pueden caminar hasta el pueblo de Fontana en dos minutos, donde uno puede encontrar mini market, tabernas y bar. La villa está en dos niveles. La villa es muy soleada, decorada en estilo rústico. La villa es apta para niños y mascotas.

We absolutely loved our stay at Meliti, it is even more spacious and beautiful than the photos. Ioanna was a delight to work with and was very helpful booking hire cars a ferries. We hope to stay again next year (so far we never have never gone back to the same place twice!).

Beautiful Meliti

We very much enjoyed our stay at Meliti. It was very comfortable, beautiful landscape gardens, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. It was a lovely place to relax, and very well situated between Gaios, Lakka and Loggos. The best restaurant we discovered was Dolos just 300 metres away!

A week away in a beautiful quiet peaceful haven with excellent host

We stayed in the house with our adult daughter. she had her own private apartment below us so she could come and go independently. The garden shade areas are excellent as is the pool overall 5* fabulous

Total joy!

A wonderful villa, extremely comfortable with so many different areas to sit, equipped with everything you could want and less than ten minute drive to almost anywhere on the island. Loved this house and the host was incredibly helpful, particularly when our ferry was cancelled and we hadn’t been informed. Hope to visit again!

Relaxing Villa

A great villa in the middle of Paxos. Very clean, and everything as stated. The second bedroom is accessed via its own door and is en-suite with a fridge which was ideal for our 18 year old. A great outdoor space and pool. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect in every way.

We had an amazing time, the house is stunning and perfect. The host was quick to reply and very friendly. We loved that there were different zones so you could spread out and relax. It was well stocked with lovely soaps, we were left with a bottle of wine, coffee and some snacks - what more could you want? We could have happily stayed there for the whole week, but also there is one of the best taverns a 4 minute walk away and a little shop. It’s centrally located to get everywhere on the island within ten mins.

Perfect relaxing week in wonderful Villa Melti.

Great property, everything worked (the air-conditioning saved us in the heatwave), perfect brick BBQ by the pool with seating. Lovely Pool with comfy wooden sunbeds and cushions. Ioanna is a wonderful host and helped with booking cars etc before arrival. Beautiful view from the terrace Easy access around the island from this cental location. Tavernas and markests in walking distance or a 2 minute drive. Perfect for my wife and two daughters to switch off for a week. Thank you Ioanna we loved it.

Just returned from an amazing 9 nights in Paxos, MELITI was a perfect choice, perfectly located, very quiet and private, outstanding outside areas, great quality outdoor furniture, good air con and fab pool. Our children are 10 and 11, we would suggest that the rooms being separate and accessed by an external staircase are not suitable for younger children than ours, the children's bedroom being on the ground floor near the pool, plus the first floor terrace has low walls that could be a hazard for younger children. Our accommodation was cleaned every 3rd day which was appreciated and we had lots of fresh towels and smellies to use. Surrounded by amazing tavernas, Dolos great for Greek food, Averto for breakfast. Supermarket just minutes up the road by car. If travelling with children please note there is no games table or gym. If hiring a car we suggest something small as roads are narrow and winding. Try Aeolus Beach Bar, great food next to a beautiful beach and just down the road from MELTI. Thank you for letting us stay, we had the best time!

A hidden heaven, perfectly positioned in Paxos

We had never booked before with Owners' Direct, and being naturally inclined to pessimism, I arrived at Villa Meliti armed with bin-liners, detox wipes, spare towels and a readiness to possibly be disappointed. We had, after all, head some gruesome scare stories about booking directly with owners. That said, our dealings with Ioanna, the charming and efficient owner, has been excellent, so perhaps I needn't worry... Arriving at Villa Meliti, every anxiety I had, melted away. Ioanna and her nephew Akis welcomed us like old friends, collecting us from the port and being patient and kind as we wearily blinked under the un-used-to sunshine. Meliti is a home-away-from-home, decoarated with style and flair (and certainly appealing to more artistic temperaments) and posessing much that sterile holiday lets do not: an ecclectic CD library; multi-lingual book collection and decorated with original art and 'objets' which make it feel so special. The space is generous - the outside space alone houses a day-bed, perfect plunge pool, hammock, various sitting areas and outdoor kitchen, all lushly planted and situated amongst the olive trees. Maid service is frequent, discreet and thoughtful, and even a welcome pack awaited us on arrival. The house is a two-minute walk from the oldest - and in our opinion, the best - taverna on Paxos, plus a bakery, market and walks across the island along ancient footpaths in shaded olive paths leading away from the house in every direction. This is also a nature-lovers' paradise and the garden alone teems with flowers, butterflies, bees and bird-life. The situation, house, garden, host, location and ambience were perfect for us, and we have determined to return. In fact, we should probably have suggested that the Villa is dreadful. That way, we could keep this hidden gem of a property all to ourselves...

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem Traum-Haus von Ioanna! Paxos ist ebenfalls sehr schön und das Haus liegt zentral mittig auf der Insel, nahe zu vielen Dingen, Das Haus ist traumhaft gestaltet und möbliert, mit allem Comfort, den man sich wünschen kann! Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist unabhängig auf der unteren Ebene des Hauses, dies fanden wir ideal. Ioanna ist sehr freundlich und hat uns viele Dinge wie Kafffee, Wein und einiges mehr zur Begrüßung eingekauft! Wir möchten wiederkommen!

Exceeded expectations. Villa and grounds are beautiful, well maintained and equipped. Cool pool temps were appreciated. Central location perfect and six restaurants within walking distance. Excellent communication with host who was warm and generous. We hope to be return guests.

A lovely property which met all expectations. Ioanna is a lovely host. The villa has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. I woukd definitely recommend and we will be back I am sure. Very comfortable for 4 adults and a 7 year old.

perfect host - perfect location

very warm welcome by our host Ionna. She was always ready to help when we needed her. The villa and its surroundings are perfect if you want to be private. However, everything is also within a few minutes reach - take a 15-minute walk down gorgeous Kipiadi beach. Or enjoy a wonderful dinner in one of the Tavernas nearby. To summarize, perfect host and perfect location! We will come again.

Private and perfect

What a stunning home and garden. The last home with no neighbours able to look in, this really is a private home. The pool, sunning area, brilliant brick bbq provided all the right ingredients for a summer holiday. Paxos pretty and small and certainly not busy on the smaller beaches. You will need to rent a car or a small boat to get to those, but well worth it. Ioanna made us feel very welcome and the house, garden and pool were cleaned every other day.

Pure paradise

We had one of the best holidays ever at Villa Meliti. Everything was 5 star and it really had all we could possibly need - and more! Location is ideal for exploring the whole island. The setting is beautiful with a variety of seating areas including a hammock and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The added bonus is the 2 fantastic tavernas, bakery and shop a short walk away. The beds were very comfortable including the pull out sofa bed that my 18 year old son was very happy with. Ionna is a super host. would highly recommend - we will certainly return!

A hidden Gem

Ioanna , Akis & Arco the dog made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The villa built to a very high standard and the garden and pool areas are a delight, with lots of attractive seating and shade. We love Paxos and this location is ideal for exploring the rest of the island by car although you can walk to the restaurant in the villge in a couple of minutes. Ioanna is the notary public of the island as well as the keeper of the Land Registry of the island. She came from Corfu 20 years ago and fell in love with the island, so when she eventually decided to built this house she tried to to find harmony between tradition and modern interior design. Ioanna together with her nephew Akis look after the villa and welcome the guests. For many years Ioanna has been an active member of the Cultural Association of Paxos. She now participates in the Philharmonic Band of the Paxos Community. She loves music and travelling.
