About Leonie Loreilhe
Our family has been living in St Kew for over 30 years, we feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Cornwall.
Why Leonie Loreilhe chose Saint Kew
The house was known to our children when they were very young as it belonged to their grandparents. We decided to move to the family home so that they could grow up near the sea and be in the countryside. We love this place and all it has to offer whatever the seasons bring. We are just as happy taking a storm bathe as basking in the sunshine and love to walk and cycle in this magical spot.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Beech Hut is hand-made and unique. Being situated next to an ancient country pub makes for a carefree and enjoyable stay.

A delightful cosy wooden cottage in a tranquil and private location with everything in place, what a nice touch too with the welcome basket filled with goodies and delicious warm homemade bread on arrival. This is the place for a very relaxing holiday.
The Beach Hut - a perfect place to unwind
We had a really relaxing time staying in the Beach Hut. The accommodation was excellent and we had everything we needed.
The location was perfect for exploring the North Cornish coastline. We walked coastal paths, visited some gorgeous beaches and enjoyed a cider or two.
Leonie and Rob were fantastic hosts and we would definitely recommend the Beach Hut to anyone wanting a relaxing base for their Cornish adventures.
A peaceful little hideaway!
The Beech Hut was exactly as it had been described by the owners and previous residents. The accommodation itself had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and was in a lovely location. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the bats. St Kew is an ideal location for visiting Port Isaac, Padstow (via the Rock ferry), Boscastle and Tintagel.
There was a little welcome hamper containing some essentials as well as a loaf of homemade bread.
If you are looking for a peaceful break then this has to be the place!
Perfect Escape (21st-24th May 2019)
A beautiful and peaceful retreat where every detail had been thought of by Leonie and Rob, even down to a welcome hamper with freshly baked bread.
The village of St Kew is lovely, and perfectly located to enjoy the many coastal walks that North Cornwall has to offer.
We would also highly recommend the St Kew Inn which is just a few paces from the Beech Hut and serves the most delicious food!
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning as there is so much more to explore.

Fantastic place, lovely calming atmosphere
In a beautiful setting with the best of Cornwall on the doorstep. Perfect to escape the crowds and find your own little place to relax.
The local beaches are perfect for surfing or relaxing, they include:
Polzeath; Daymer bay; Trebarwith Strand as well as many smaller coves and bays for discovering. Rock is popular for those wanting a quieter time or for water skiing and sailing.
The Beech Hut is close to the ports of Port Isaac and Padstow.
Port Isaac is just over 5 minutes drive away and Wadebridge, the local town, has large supermarkets, banks as well as many independent shops, pubs and cafes, it can be reached within a 10 minute drive. It is also the hub for the Camel trail, 18 miles of nearly flat, off-road cycling. Bikes of any ilk can be hired for the day or half day.
North Cornwall has become known for it's fine local and gastro food. There are 2 Michelin star fish restaurants in Port Isaac as well as excellent Cornish pub food and ales at the St Kew Inn. We advise you to book in advance for the St Kew Inn in the high season. Padstow is home to the many Rick Stein eateries and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant is at Watergate bay near Newquay.
