Wonderful Sun Sets

A beautifully presented quayside stone villa in the historic village of Rose right on the edge of sea. Very friendly welcome from Sladjana with all our needs found. Ideal for the children to roam freely as Rose quay is traffic free but ample parking is available nearby. Take Miki's ferry to Herceg Novi and to local sights and beaches. Just a short drive from Tivat Airport and the fascinating World Heritage Site Kotor and beyond.

Arriving to Rose was an ordeal. Arriving with a family car full of luggage, it is not permitted to unload at the lowest point of the parking lot, (which is close to the property) not even for the time needed just to unload (they yell and scream at you) totally crazy situation. Then you are instructed to "urgently" pay "stay taxes"? We received ONE towel per person upon our arrival, we were told we must to wash laundry towels during our stay of 10 days!? No beach towels. No hot water in one of the bedrooms. No AC in one of the bedrooms. Shower drain clogged upon arrival in the master bedroom. Remote control for AC not working. No hot water in the kitchen. Only changed bed sheets once, didn't clean the floors, bathrooms, kitchen. According to the manager: All because of the bad weather storm from a few days prior. Service and management BAD!

Dear Mira, we're sorry you were dissatisfied with your stay. Addressing the issues point by point: - parking - the only parking space in the village is private and we do not own it. Nevertheless, it used to be free for all , until just a day before your arrival. It surprised us as much as it did you. I'm not sure who shouted at you, but it wasn't anyone connected with our property. -You were given two towels per person on arrival. This was boosted by additional towels the minute you complained. - Stay taxes. This is a local law, as is in many other countries. The stay tax has to be paid in the first 24h and we try to make it as easy as possible for our guests. We inform them in writing, before arrival, of the law and it's requirements. We calculate the exact amount and take their data, so everything can be ready on the arrival day and it's not time consuming for our guests -We have never, ever, ever requested that our guests wash their towels. We supply them with towels, and change them regularly during their stay. The washing machine & dryer are there for their convenience, not to wash the towels. - Big storms can cause the loss of electricity and water in the village. But this is extremely rare It was unfortunate that one happened just before your arrival. We apologise. - Bad service. Our housekeeper visited you numerous times bringing everything you requested and more. We were very sorry you experienced any inconvenience.

Traumurlaub

Das Ferinhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für uns, 4 Pärchen, war es wichtig, dass mindestens 3 Bäder vorhanden sind. Die Lage ist der absolute Hammer! Unmittelbar an der Bucht gelegen, keine 10 m bis zum Wasser. Es gibt in dem kleinen Ort Rose am Meer keine Straße so das es auch keine Autos gibt. Vom letzten Parkplatz bis zum Haus sind es ca. 300m, die man , auch mit Reisegepäck, gern in Kauf nimmt. Rechts neben dem Haus wohnt Mika, der mit seinem Boot mehrmals täglich über die Bucht nach Herceg Novi fährt. Man kann mit ihm auch zur nahegelegnen "Blauen Höhle" fahren und das alles zu absolut fairen Preisen. Links neben dem Haus gibt es ein gutes Restaurant mit leckeren Gerichten. Ein Mietwagen ist zwingend notwendig, zum Lebensmitteleinkauf im nächstgelegnen Dorf fährt man ca. 20 min. Ana, unsere Hausverwalterin, war als Ansprechpartner immer da. Einfach super Service. Hoffentlich bleibt das stückchen Erde noch lange ein "Geheimtipp" .

Lovely property in beautiful setting

This traditional property was spacious and well equipped, with a friendly bar/restaurant adjacent. The staff responsible for the property were welcoming and efficient; on hand also to answer any questions or queries. We realised a little late in our stay that a couple of Vans visit the village on a regular basis, supplying fresh fruit, veg , milk, bread and water. This was handy as the nearest mini market/supermarket was a car or boat trip away. Perhaps this is something that can be included as 'useful information' for future guests. All in all a memorable holiday!

Amazing House in a magic place

Wonderful house in Rose, little village on the Lustica Peninsula in Montenegro. Beautiful sea, boat from Rose to Herceg Novi five times a day. House really wonderful and Full equipped, four bathrooms, very comfortable. We were in four adult and four children (from 5 to 12). Excellent relation with the owner and his referent person on the place.
