About Marty Haskins
My name is Marty Haskins. In the picture is my father-in-law Frank Kroll. We purchased the cabin in November of 2005 along with my wife Kelly and Frank's wife Debbie. We bought the property thinking of how great it would be to have a 'getaway' that is riverfront, park-front, and forest service-front. We have been blessed to find out the demand for housing near Yellowstone Park. We only thought we would rent out about 6 weeks a year and now are renting the whole summer. We spend a lot of time at the cabin in the spring and fall. The picture you see is the fire pit about 10 yards from our back door. As you can see I like a big campfire.

Why Marty Haskins chose Gardiner
Gardiner is a very special place in Montana and it just happens to be the only year round entrance into the park. This location is ideal for a vacation in the Park. For me it is ideal for fishing the mighty Yellowstone River. I have been vacationing in Yellowstone since I was a young boy. I grew up in rural North Dakota and had an Aunt and Uncle who lived in Billings, MT. They had two boys my age so my brother and I would come to Montana in the summer for two weeks and they would take us to the Park. Thanks to my Aunt and Uncle I now live in Bozeman, I met my beautiful wife in Billings and I now own a cabin bordering Yellowstone Park.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is surrounded by National Park Land, Forest Service Land, and the Yellowstone River. Best of all it is only 300 yards from the Park, yet 4 miles from the entrance and the town of Gardiner. You get a secluded base camp from the park that is only minutes away. Our favorite thing to do is sit around the campfire at night while Debbie makes peach cobbler in the dutch oven.

Great spot in Yellowstone!
This is a beautiful cabin with everything you might need for a comfortable stay, plus amazing views of the Yellowstone river and surrounding mountains. It's quick and easy to get into the park, and a lovely place to stay
Stay at Yellowstone cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin was supplied with everything we needed and had a beautiful view of the Yellowstone River. We did notice that somebody put dirty dishes back in the plate rack and coffee cup rack. It appeared they weren’t even rinsed from eating food and drinking coffee. Also, there was a broken wine glass on the shelf that someone had apparently broken and put back on the shelf. This did not impact our stay in a negative way, but we just wanted the owners to be aware of this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this cabin.
Wonderful cozy cabin
Our family of five including three children age 10 and under stayed for three nights the end of September. We loved the snow being from the south! The cabin is larger than the pictures indicate. Had all the amenities you would want. Comfy and homey.
Base while visiting Yellowstone
I highly recommend staying in these cabins. They are clean and comfortable. There is a washer and dryer with detergent provided for doing laundry. The kitchen is stocked with spices and the refrigerator has commonly used condiments, making it easy to make meals. One our first morning we had a group of elk outside our door. We used this cabin as our base while visiting Yellowstone, and if we were to come back to visit Yellowstone we would stay here again.
By far the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. Beautiful cabin, location and view! Not only was the cabin extremely comfortable and well decorated. The cabin was spotless and impeccably clean. The three A/C/heater units keep the cabin at a perfect temperature all day long. The TVs are great for unwinding at night; many channels plus Netflix!! All of this is great but the best part of this property is the attention to detail that has gone into it. Literally everything has been thought of, down to marshmallow sticks for the campfire. One just needs to show up with a toothbrush. I can't wait to return!
Cabin is adorable and in the perfect location for visiting the park. The view of the river and mountains is beautiful. But, best of all we loved among the wildlife. We were welcomed when we arrived by a herd of elk happily chewing on grass in our yard. They were there when we woke up and when we came home. Antelope visited some but the elk became family.
The cabin itself is just as pictured none of us wanted to leave as it was so cozy. The hosts made sure it was stocked with those extra things you don’t want to buy because you only use a bit of it. We were thankful as we enjoyed meals inside and out.
It was perfect!’
