Lake Front 4 bedroom Pine Lake w/pier 15 minute to Lake Michigan-FISH-SKI-BOAT

This was a great location for attending a football game in South Bend. The house is exactly as described and Kelly was always available to answer any questions. Our only complaint - it was too cold to enjoy the lakefront - but the view was great!

Can’t wait to come back with the kids!!

My family really enjoyed the lake house. It was well stocked with seasonings, kitchen & bath towels, shampoos, body wash & laundry detergent. It was a pretty chilly late October weekend so we weren’t able to enjoy the nice screened in porch but most of our crew braved the chill by going out on the kayaks and canoe a couple days. They had a blast! We had a campfire in the fire pit one night. The different levels of the house were good for the kids to do their thing upstairs and the adults enjoy time together downstairs but able to all come together too! Kroger was close by and Walmart a little further but convenient to get groceries. Great time had by all!!

Kelly's place was large and spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. She took time out of her busy schedule and gave us a tour the first day of our stay and offered to help with anything we needed. Sitting on the deck at water's edge and enjoying the breeze off Pine lake was delightful as Labor Day weekend was warm and humid. The stars at night were equally enjoyable. The road noise was a little disappointing for those in our party who slept in the upper-level bedrooms, but Kelly had a noise machine that compensated pretty well. The road noise is not noticeable on the lower levers of the cottage and the lakeside lawn. All in all, we had a great time.

The property was great for our family to get together for a long weekend! 5 adults and 3 children, and we had more than enough room. House was very well stocked, you don’t have to bring much besides your clothes and beach towels. Kroger’s nearby along with restaurants and fast food places, but we grilled everyday and cooked all of our meals at the house. Used the fire pit one night and rented a pontoon boat one day which was a blast. The dock was large enough to dock the boat. The dock was in need of repair but useable. The water was pretty clean swimming off the dock, a few weeds but not bad, the lake is really nice. Plenty of lake toys including kayaks. The front of house is close to the road but it really was not a problem. You do have to haul everything down a set of stairs on the outside of the house but it was nice that the bottom level of the house was level with the yard, dock and lake. The bottom level has the kitchen, living room, dining room, and half bath. Kitchen is a little tight, but has a large refrigerator and nice gas stove. First floor also has another bath with shower and laundry sink, but the washer and dryer are in the 3rd floor bathroom. The second floor has a small office, and large bedroom with queen and a second bedroom with full size bed and a bathroom with tub/shower. The third floor had a cute sitting room/ tv room and 2 large bedrooms and Bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Plenty of towels and the beds and linens were comfortable.

We had such great weather we swam a lot and also took a quick trip Indiana Sand Dunes - West Beach. Did a little fishing but didn’t catch much, but we really didn’t spend much time at it. We did have to fill grill gas tank but fortunately the gas station convenience store across the street had refills along with just about anything else you might need. Besides the dock needing some repair, the chaise lounge on screened porch need the cushions replaced and floors need a good cleaning throughout but overall it is a good rental that is very well stocked and we really enjoyed the house and the lake. We definitely would rent again!
