Mountain Home with Breathtaking Views and all of the Comforts of Home!

Come enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Bailey, Colorado! We recently purchased this beautiful second home and we would like to share our treasure with you before we move in ourselves. Located about 15 minutes north of Highway 285, this home is perfect for anyone’s vacation plans. It is fabulous for a romantic mountain getaway as well as a family trip.

The house has an excellent wrap around deck off the main floor and a charming small deck right off 2 of the bedrooms on the second floor with stunning views of the backyard, full of pines, aspen trees and the occasional meandering wild animal. You can also see the majestic mountains of Pike National forest. The deck is perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee, or evening glass of wine while grilling. Lounge chairs on the deck provide a great place for an afternoon nap or watching the hummingbirds.

The first floor includes both a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen that is perfect for entertaining a group. Cozy up on a cold winter night with a cup of tea in the living room and start a fire in the wood burning stove. Need to relax after a long day of hiking or snow shoeing up at Kenosha Pass? Put up your feet and turn on the new high definition TV, complete with DirectTV. Games in the closet, a slowly but surely growing library, we are really trying to think of something for everyone to enjoy while you’re visiting “The Bailey House!”

If you are looking for a vacation in the mountains, but still want to go out to dinner or do something fun in Denver, we can give you the best of both worlds. A night in Denver is a reasonable 45 minute drive. A super laid back day hitting up breweries in the wonderfully unique Boulder is a 1.5 hour drive. And the town of Conifer, which is Bailey’s closest larger town, is 30 minutes away. Stop in Conifer for your groceries on your way up to the house. Bailey, Colorado is such a cute little town, so make sure you drive through and support the local businesses, winery and restaurants!

Enjoy hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, horseback riding, top class fishing in the area, hunting, zipline and disc golf. Our house is within walking distance to a campground and access to Pike National Forest. Pack a lunch and go on a hike on one of the nearby trails. Here is a link for the many outdoor activities in the area, which includes all the hiking trails in the South Platte District.

We hope that you choose “The Bailey House” for your next Colorado mountain vacation! We are offering a 10% military discount.

Pets allowed upon approval. We do have an outside dog run.

If you are planning on visiting the Bailey House during the Colorado mountain snow season, please be advised that the location of our home requires a 4WD/AWD vehicle and snow tires. Please be aware of the weather conditions for your trip. Colorado weather can be unpredictable and we want all of our renters to have safe travels to and from our home during the snowy season!

Why Karen Tichawa chose Bailey

The house is set in the mountains with a view of Pike National Forest off the back porch, which to us, is pure Colorado living. The location is perfect for all of our outdoor activities including yoga in the woods.

Peaceful and healing

  • 5 of 5

This vacation has been a year in the making and the location turned out to be a great gathering place for our family. The whole home was clean and comfortable. We are so greatful to know that this Home is available. I would recommend it to any family looking for a place to gather and enjoy making memories. This home easily hosted 20 of us for Christmas dinner and the kitchen was well stocked with needed items. (We brought in an extra card table that fit nicely.) but with the dinning room table, bar stools, and living room seating we were able to enjoy our time with family. The laundry room was also very helpful due to our long stay. I highly recommend this home.
