Ocean Block Single Family Home - 14 Dickinson. Open floor plan & pet friendly!

Perfect location - from kitchen or front deck you can see both the Ocean, sunrise and waves as well as the Bay, sunset and the boats. Since its oceanside, you don't have to cross Rt 1 with your beach gear. Easy peasy to go back and forth to the beach all day since its only ~100 yds away. Same street as the Hyatt, Gold Leaf, Nalu and Rusty Rudder.


Wonderful beach house feel with 20 foot A-frame ceilings on the second floor and natural wood interior. Kitchen opens to a second floor deck with great views of the ocean and bay. Large rear deck ideal for eating crabs, BBQ get togethers or just sunbathing. All new flooring through out the house.

The large open second floor is good for just relaxing or hanging out with a group of people. Large new kitchen with two refrigerators and all utensils. Beautiful stone wood-burning fireplace. Wifi access, smart tv and digital cable. New Hot tub.

First floor includes large master bedroom which has a new king bed, updated private bath and a sleeping extension with a queen, bunk beds, and trundle. The other two bedrooms each have new queen beds.

Spacious outdoor shower under back deck. Plenty of storage for kayaks, surfboards and fishing poles.

Note: House number used to be 16A and with the 911 updates the number has been changed.

The Hot Tub was a hit! The weather was chilly and windy, so we enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed the fireplace. Everthing was top notch forour stAy.

Whether during summer time or off season, this is a fantastic house to stay with family or friends. You instantly feel at home. The communication with Jen is outstanding. We will keep on our short list for the future.

This place is the best! I booked it for my best friend’s bachelor party and his main goal was to go to the beach as much as possible and this house is feet away from the ocean. It’s also extremely close to great bars and restaurants.The actual house is so cool and perfect for a group of guys having a weekend away. It would also be a solid place for a family as well with plenty of sleeping space. The shower in the main bedroom is huge! And to make matters even more awesome, there’s a hot tub. I was in the house maybe 10 minutes before I suggested that we come back and stay again! Thank you Jen for all the check in information and for maintaining a dynamite property!

Lovely place to stay

The house is lovely. Kitchen was well appointed. Two decks with beautiful views. Very comfy. Easy walk to the beach and many other places in Dewey. I would love to return.

Spacious hang out!

The house is a great vacation spot! Location is perfect! I went with a group of women for a girls weekend. We loved that there were plenty of places to relax. Many of us commented on how comfortable the beds were too! Hot tub was clean and easy to access. We had a great stay!

This is our third time staying here. Location to the beach and downtown is great. If you’re looking for a place that feels homey and not a showroom this place is it. We enjoy staying here with our family and doggies.

We love the living area, kitchen, and decks, but ants were plentiful in the kitchen/dining area. Comfy bedrooms and nice master bath.

Fun time at the beach

Kids loved the theme of the house, loved the setup. Host was communicative throughout the visit. No issues with any of the utilities at the house. Would love to return again next year if possible.

Great Beach Location

Even though our visit was out-of-season, you can easily see that it's a great location any time of the year. The house could use some interior upgrades, but everything was clean, the kitchen was amply stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Just a few steps to walk on the beach anytime of the year. Owner quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Wonderful Week!

My wife and I enjoyed evening fires in the wood burning fireplace, morning moments (and a couple late nights!) in the hot tub, and walks on the beach. The location was incredible! Just a half block from the ocean pathway to the beach. The views of the sunrise and sunsets from the kitchen and dining area were beautiful! The grill on the back deck was new, as was the kitchen sink and live room couches & chairs. We had such a nice relaxing week. We hope to book another week later this year. Thank you!

Would stay again!

This property was great. Having never been to Dewey Beach I was unsure what to expect. But the house is a 50 yard walk to the beach, across the street from a marina, and walking distance to everything you need. House was clean, beds comfortable and checking in was easy. Had a couple questions for homeowner and she responded immediately. Would consider staying here with my family in the future.

Classic dewey beach home

Stayed with friends for a wedding weekend in dewey. Location was amazing. The house was clean and better than the online photos! There were a lot of ants all over the top floor. I know it is inevitable but just FYI. Otherwise very clean, had lots of sun during the daytime through widows, enjoyed sun in the porches, and great communication from the host! Would visit again!

Can't say enough on how wonderful this place is!

Felt like home, so welcoming. The kitchen, my favorite spot, I always bring my own cooking stuff, didn't need to here, this place has it all. My husband and I have must have's when we go to Dewey in the summer and in the off season. Summer time, we want, all day at the beach, then to goof off (happy hour), couple drinks out, then back to our hut, where we can continue what we started and feel like we can spread out, not step on each other, so much space for doing just that! Off season, no different but don't necessarily need as much, because it's cold out, other than taking the dogs down to the beach I couldn't wait to get back and cuddle up with the fire PERFECTION, just love this place, can't say enough!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your hut with us!

Great for a large group

The home was clean and orderly. The main (owners suite) bedroom has a sitting room off of it. The sitting room has a set of bunk beds, a trundle, and a queen size bed in it. The main bedroom has a king. We thought those rooms were separate, but it’s really like 8 people sharing one bedroom - but it’s a large one. The house is spacious. While the furniture and fixtures are a little dated (which we totally expected per the pictures), everything was super clean and orderly. It was great for a week at the beach with the kids. Jen was really easy to talk to and work with for entry. There were a couple of requests for the owners to visit while we were there, and one instance where we think they came while we weren’t there (and the kids left the cover off the hot tub so she reminded us gently to put it back on after use, which was totally reasonable) but Jen respected when we declined the second request for her husband to come over during the day to replace a screen door. Overall, a solid value - especially for the location! So close to the beach. Recommended!

Property is in a great location. Problems are dirty dishes in the cupboards; we had to clean inside of one of the ovens before use, oven knob fell off, mouse poop in utensil drawer, dishwasher soap despiser door broken-missing, dish washer did not clean dishes, grill was extremely dirty cleaned as best we could. The carpets turned our socks and feet black. Door to master bedroom broken. Microwave was unplugged when we arrived, found the exhaust fan does not shut off. Dishes are cracked chipped. Old dirty rusted stained furniture on front deck. Back deck was great.

The house was in a great location and the bathrooms were nice. The bedrooms were small and worn down. There was a review I read in early July with issues noted and none of them have been addressed, except they did fix the dishwasher while we were there. There was a charge for them having a hot tub and a sign that said not to use it, I assume because of the scum in it. I do believe a refund for that should issued.The washer had wet clothes remaining in it. The closet was still broken in one of the rooms. The knob on the stove falls off and it was hard to turn the stove off. The temperature fluctuated the whole time we were there. It was 80 degrees the day we got there in the house. There is also no pressure in the outside shower. It did have a large open plan upstairs with many places to sit, which was great. Close to beach and stores.

Expected Better

Home pictured in ad not the home, but was an ocean view from the front deck. There was never a pic of the actual property. Most lights in master BR not working because one circuit breaker was tripped. Spouse had to find the box to make lamps operational. Toilet seat lid in hallway/sm bathroom brokenDish washer soap dispenser lid on door broken. East queen bedroom closet doors not operational, one off it’s track lending against water tank in closet. Could not use that closet. Many lights unplugged in great room. Tv wasn’t operational because cable box was found totally unplugged lying on the floor behind the entertainment cabinet. Spouse reconnected. Old coffee grounds still in coffee maker2 broken back patio chairsBroken kitchen chair near hot tub. Hot tub had scum and leaves in it. Note in kitchen says not to use the hot tub contrary to home description. Trash bin totally full/ over flowing plus lots of either trash bags by hot tub area for our Sat ck in. Trash was supposed to be valeted out the day before our arrival. Dryer lint filter overflowing. Microwave fan would suddenly turn on without being able to turn off unless microwave was unplugged. Cleaning ppl left used/wet cleaning materials on dryer. Outside grill not clean, but not gross either. On the plus side, great room was appointed well and furniture clean and comfortable with many recliners, but a chair at top of stairs had a broken leg. Front deck was nice, with good views. Back deck more private.

We are native Delawareans and love the beach and have been going all our life. We have three boys, ages 22, 18 and 14 and love the ocean. Also a French Bulldog names Tupelo.

This place is fabulous for all - kids, adults, etc. with lots of open air restaurants and bars within walking distance. Jolly Trolley can take you into Rehoboth in season. The bay and ocean are beautiful.

Huge open kitchen/FR area that is wonderful for entertaining or hanging out. Awesome views to both ocean and bay. Super close to ocean...easy back and forth. Brand new queen bed in master and new full beds in the other two bedrooms. New central air conditioning in 2020. Many restaurants walkable. During the summer, family friendly activities like movies on beach Mon nights, Volleyball Tues nights and bonfires Wed nights.
