Recently remodeled apartment in La Latina. It is located in the heart of traditional Madrid, a few meters from the main attractions of the city such as the Plaza Mayor - a 5-minute walk, the Mercado San Miguel - 4 minutes, or the Prado, Thyssen and Reina museums. Sofia - 20 minutes.
Live like a real madrileño! Enjoy the lively restaurants and the terraces of its bars to taste its tapas and delicious cuisine.
The apartment is on the fifth floor. It has an elevator, 7 balconies to the street, lots of natural light and beautiful views over the roofs and the churches of the neighborhood.
A perfect place to live an unforgettable experience.

From April 8th to Oct 8th 2024, there is scaffolding slightly affecting light and views.

Fantastic Unit and Location

The apartment is super clean, comfortable and a great base from which to explore and experience Madrid. The only reason for rating as 4 instead of 5 stars is that the building exterior is under renovation and the windows are all obstructed by scaffolding and fabric wrap. Our booking was made over a year ahead and we were not alerted that the views are not as shown until arrival. Otherwise, the stay was great. .

Great Stay in Madrid

My wife, daughter and I stayed two nights in this property during Spring break 2024. First, the owner was incredibly helpful answering my numerous questions about the property, trains into and out of Madrid and proximity to things to do. The owner was also very helpful when my taxi driver lefts us in the wrong spot giving me directions over the phone. The apartment was exactly as described, cozy, well appointed and comfortable. It also has balconies with nice views of the neighborhood. It is close in proximity to many points of interest, including the royal palace shopping areas and many restaurants and bars. The ride up in the building elevator is especially memorable. I highly recommend this apartment and Luis, its owner. I would most definitely stay here again.

Building construction

I selected the place mostly due to the windows and views. Unfortunately, the place has scaffolding and the windows are covered with construction materials. We arrived late for night one and woke up at 8:30M With banging and workers outside the windows. It was on the 5th floor with workees walking by on the scaffolding. I had older parents and it was as too difficult to leave without other Plans in place. The owner did NOT make us aware of the construction.

Five minutes from Plaza Mayor.

A five minute walk from Plaza Mayor and historic Madrid, the apartment was exactly as described. It was basic and spartan, but modern, clean and comfortable. Great showers and beds. The apartment was on the fifth floor with views of Plaza Segovia Nueva and the nightly paseo (traditional community walk about). The La Latina neighborhood was interesting and lively, offering a wide variety of good restaurants, tapas bars, stores, and services. An incredibly well stocked modern supermarket was around the corner. As well, three of Madrid's bustling neighborhood markets were close by, providing wonderful cultural must-visits both to the markets and their surrounding neighborhoods. Two subway stations were within easy walking distance, but we were able to easily walk everywhere during our five night stay. Luis was a perfect host, from guiding the initial rental arrangements to welcoming us and showing us around the apartment. We will definitely stay here on any future visits to Madrid.

Perfect Spot for our First Trip to Madrid

The apartment completely over delivered! One of those listings you see online and it's even better in person. Lovely spot walkable to so many great spots to eat and drink. Luis was an excellent host, met us at the apartment and got us settled in.

Stay in Madrid

Stayed at this property for couple of days. Really good location, close to Plaza Mayor and other major landmarks. It's a busy neighborhood, so be prepared for the buzz of activity most of the time. Communication with Luis was great.

Great Apt!

Luis is a wonderful host. He met us at the apt and gave us lots of suggestions for eating and having fun. The apt is clean and comfortable with great showers and five tiny balconies from which you can watch the town bustle below. The neighborhood is central to everything you want to do. The beds were very comfy.

This is a great apartment in a great location. Our host Luis was on hand to meet us & show us around the apartment. Supermarket 1 minute away & numerous bars/restaurants. Plaza Major a 10 mins walk. Would highly reccommend.

Particularly liked it’s close access to Plazza San Miguel and our favorite plaza Santa Ana. Santa Ana has much better food venues then expected and is the prettiest plazza so far. Super Stay

Perfect location. Close to everything. Apartment has everything you need. Big market right around the corner with fresh baked bread, fish market, butcher and just about everything a traveler needs. A zillion restaurant choices all around and the Mercado just a few steps away. Thank you Luis.

Great apartment in the middle of everything

This is a really nice two bedroom two bath apartment in the middle of where you want to be in Madrid. Minutes on foot to the royal palace and 15 to 20 minutes to the Prado, Renia Sofia and Thyssen (and some darn good restaurants in between). We stayed for a week, with a couple of side trips. A lot of thought has gone into this apartment (live plants and other little details that show the owner cares). It is perfect for four people with tons of light (seven or eight French doors), two bathrooms that are well thought out (i.e. decent size showers, plenty of hot water and not too euro-weird) and a great little kitchen with new appliances (there is a nice grocery store (a "Dia") right around the corner for your breakfast supplies - try the self-checkout in Spanish for yucks). The beds are comfortable with good quality linens. There is a little street noise on the weekend, but nothing overwhelming. Luis was a superb host, easy to work with, meeting us on our arrival (which was an hour earlier than expected) and answering all of our questions. The apartment is on the 5th floor which we liked (better views, less noise), but there is a small elevator (two people max) if stairs aren't your thing. We thought this was a really good value and would stay here again. One piece of advice, skip the Sunday flea market around the corner - the tour books talk it up, but it pretty much sucks and your time would be better spent doing something else.

Skøn lejlighed som er beliggende meget centralt i Madrid. Kort afstand til indkøb, serværdigheder og byliv. Meget lys lejlighed med mange vinduer og små altaner og man fornemmer "pulsen" nede i gaden. Har udsigt ud over bytagene. Vi blev taget godt imod af ejerne af lejligheden og der var høj service. Meget behjælpelig ved spørgsmål. Alt i alt en perfekt lejlighed til 2 par og til ferie i Madrid

Best stay in Spain!!!

I cannot say enough good about our stay here. The owner was so very helpful to us from the start of the booking until the end. He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. This apartment is in a great location of the city especially for someone new to Madrid. It is very clean, stylish,lots of light from many windows. The layout is perfect. There are stairs but it provides an elevator. Luis left wine and some tea and coffee as a start for a good stay. This place and owner is a gem. We would come back here every time. No need to look elsewhere. Near a metro, walking distance from Cathedral and Palace, Plaza Mayor, wonderful Tapas, etc etc. Superb!!
