Couldn’t have picked better

Amazing location to visit Porto! Right in the middle of everything, but on the Gaia side, which made it more interesting- Porto tastings, 5min to walk over the bridge to Porto, lots of food and boat ride choices nearby, quieter at night, it made for a perfect base for the visit, and we absolutely loved it! The apartment was super comfortable for a family of 5, clean, and most of all, AC-ed!

We are a family of 6 and the 3-bed room apt in the Gaia was comfortable and suits our need. The apt is nicely decorated in a contemporary style located within walking distance from restaurants & a dozen Port wine cellars. You really can’t beat this location. Right off the boardwalk on the villa Gaia side so close to everything but quiet enough to sleep. The beds were very comfortable (our best in Portugal so far) and it was very clean. The parking is just around the corner and was convenient. The hosts were in contact which was helpful. A slight hiccup on checkin which made a long day longer was a HomeAway clarity issue rather than a host issue.

Loved the ease of location. Very convenient to everything. Very easy to access. Clean and spacious. My only criticism is it should not be listed as ocean or water view or as having a balcony. You could only see water if you looked out 1 bedroom window and turned your head to right leaning over. Also, balcony really unusable. Other than this loved staying in this area

Close to the action

Location is close to port lodges and many restaurants and tourist sites. The unit is sparsely stocked. Lots of plates in the kitchen but no wine opener or staples. soaps come in tiny packets. There is a store three doors down that has what you need so no big deal.

Great location near Port caves

If you are interested in staying near all the Port houses this is the apartment for you. A short walk to Sandeman, Calem and Cruz. The neighborhood was very active but the apartment was quiet at night. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The management company contacted us and provided us with all the information we needed to acquire access to the unit. Porto proper is right across the river and easy to access either by walking or water taxi. We enjoyed our stay in the unit and sightseeing the area.

Overall was very satisfied with the property. A few snacks and/or a bottle of port would have been a nice touch. The step down out of the hall bathroom is a safety hazard. We put a piece of orange tape on the floor to help. A nightlight in that bathroom would be nice. The small market next door was handy. Location was great. I would recommend this place .

Good location - a lot of inconvenience

We liked the location and the city a lot, but there has been a lot of inconvenience due to a leaking Hot water tank As you can see in the conversation, appointments have been made several times without success. At the time of checkout, the water tank is still leaking, at we had to empty the pan every 6 hours to prevent the water leaking behind the kitchen cabinets and the floor.. We are really looking forward to a discount due to all the inconvenience we had in the time of our stay

Great Location

Apartment is conveniently located and just steps from the river. Even though there is a lot going on around it was quiet at night. Five adults stayed for four nights and didn’t feel to crowded. Check in was easy and they were very attentive to what we needed. The iron was missing and they brought a new one the same day. I had a shower accident and they fixed it promptly. It would be nice if there was a mirror in all the bedrooms. When sharing a bathroom it would be nice to have somewhere else to get ready. Also there were no paper towels or even a napkin in the kitchen…not a deal breaker since there is a small market next door. They also arranged a ride to the airport for us very early in the morning and he was right on time. All in all a pleasant stay.

Famille de 4 + Grands parents Gaia Centre

Ce petit bijou fut un grand succès auprès de toute la famille. La poximité avec le bord de l’eau (où l’action se passe, concerts Sandeman) était juste assez pour ne pas se faire déranger la nuit. Il y avait un grand choix de resto (toutes les gammes $ - $$$) et même un petit marché tout près (2 min.). Une marche assez escarpée vous mènera au Metro Jardim do Morrow (10 min.) et pour traverser du côté de Porto vous prendra 20 min tout au plus. Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement pour les familles qui aiment la proximité et la tranquillité. KaTtt de Montréal, Canada

They aren’t joking around with their Port wine here. Neither was this lovely apartment right in the heart of Port Wine tasting. Steps from the Douro river, you have every food and drink option you could want. The night life is far enough away it doesn’t interfere with our family lifestyle, and during the day it was exceptionally family friendly. The rooms were meticulously prepared, and when we needed extra towels our hosts were right there for us. This was a home away from home for us. Crossing the river was a reasonable walk, but there are gondolas and the metro if you’re not up for the hills. We would most certainly utilize this location upon any return to Porto! This is an easy five stars, I can’t even think of anything to say for constructive criticism!

Great location!

We had a wonderful experience mostly because we loved the apartment's location in Gaia, half a block from the river and the majestic view of Porto. The apartment was comfortable and spacious for us, and it was nice that we were on the 1st floor (2nd flr in US). Also, the apartments are rented out only to tourists.
