Great apt in the heart of Born!

Fabulous apartment in an amazing neighborhood. We loved the outdoor patio and the laundry machine was a huge bonus after more than a week of traveling. The pictures definitely don’t do the size justice - the main bedroom and living/dining area are very spacious and the bed(s) were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was definitely a tight squeeze and the shower was a challenge even for me at 5’4” but it was a small compromise in comparison to the rest of the pros. The virtual/app-based lock made coming and going a breeze and the people at Habitat were incredibly responsive! The apartment couldn’t be situated in a more perfect location - walking distance to all the best bars, restaurants, and attractions. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic location, steps away from many restaurants, cafes, shops, and attractions. The space was cutely decorated and comfortable.

Superb location, but don't count on using the couch and small beds were terrible.

Great location. However, communication with the host company was not great. They showed up 30 minutes late to let us in. Couch bed was not usable. It was dirty and disgusting. Also, every spring could be felt in on the small beds in second room. Hot water also runs out very quickly and shower is so small that a large person would have trouble. Even small people can barely reach their feet. Host did not provide extra sheets and set of towels even though extra person was paid for. They said they would deliver them and after two phone calls and an email, they did not respond. If you can put up with those things, great location.

Huge apartment in a great location

We really enjoyed staying here. The neighbourhood has everything we could possibly need, great restaurants, shops, easy access to public transit. The WiFi is very fast, great for work. There were problems with the WiFi being off a couple days, but the support team was quick to respond and fix that. The apartment felt a little bit run-down though. The shower cord was broken, there was low pressure in both showers, some of the furniture was a bit damaged etc. For the price we paid (about EUR 58/night for a whole month), it was really great value, and the apartment is truly amazing. But, if we paid the short term list price, it would feel a bit too expensive as I would expect it to be flawless. We would definitely book again! :) Thank you!

Great location

Nice apartment with lots of room and space for clothes and luggage. Loved the private patio off the main bedroom as well as the balcony that overlooked the alley way. Kitchen was well stocked with all appliances and necessities. Location was ideal, within walking distance of most attractions and had a large variety of dining and food options as well as shopping options. The only negatives I can think of is the shower is rather small. There is no elevator so there is a short flight of stairs to go up, not too bad but which could be hard if you have a large amount of luggage. Also if you are not familiar with European washer/dryers make sure to ask for instructions.

Great location, challenging neighbors

This apartment was clean, check in was smooth, location was fantastic for our needs. It does not get much natural light, but to a degree that's to be expected in the dense city center. We stayed here in July, so the air conditioning was important for us. Unfortunately, the neighbors are very hostile and seem somewhat crazy. The dropped threatening notes from their balcony saying they were going to call the police and have us evicted for running the air conditioning at night. The management company recommended we turn off the air conditioning at night which we did most nights, but we were not happy with this. We ran the air conditioning for some time one other night and again they threatened to call the police and have us evicted. The management company's response was weird--depending on who you talked to--they also threatened us with eviction in one e-mail, but Alexandra was great--she totally understood that this was not our fault and apologized. Bottom line: If air conditioning is important to you, I would not stay here.

Apartment had everything we needed. Was clean. Great artwork on the walls. And located in a great area which made it easy to get around.

Great Location!

The apartment is in a fantastic location in the Born neighborhood. There are many local restaurants, coffee shops and stores just steps from the front door. The renovations are well done, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. The washer/dryer combo works well, but you are on your own to figure out how to use it, we relied on YouTube. Keep in mind this is a very very old neighborhood, the bathroom and kitchen are clean and updated, but very small. This is typical for the area and part of the charm. However, we were very disappointed that when we arrived there was scaffolding up on the building, completely covering the lovely windows in the photos and making us slightly uncomfortable from a safety perspective. We were not warned of this situation before arriving. The living room windows were locked with a padlock, which is nice from a safety standpoint, but frustrating as we expected the apartment to look and function like the photos. Instead it was a dark dungeon for our entire stay. Until the final morning, the only day we choose to sleep in on our vacation and they removed the scaffolding and created a ton of noise. The work that was being done caused a thick layer of dust all over the living room. We did not use the living room because of this, and also because the couch was not comfortable for even just 2 people. The internet went out for about 36 hours while we were there and the dishwasher did not work. I called about the internet, but I believe it just ended up resetting itself as we received a call back a day later asking about it to see if they needed to send someone. I booked the apartment last fall, and it appears they have increased the price since that time. I think the value was ok for what I spent, but I would not spend what they are charging now.

Good value for the price

Pro's Recently renovated/updated Good value for price Great location in the heart of El Born walking distance to everything you could need Extra sink is great assist to single bath. Con's Shower is super small. Oversized people will not fit. Pillows must be upgraded. Pillow cases odd. Mattress in living room needs to be replaced. Noisy at night when theatre breaks and people gather. Every door in the unit squeaks. We confirmed 5 guests and paid additional person charge and received one (yes 1) roll of toilet paper.

Location was fabulous

The apartment is right in the heart of El Born on a tiny little pedestrian street, steps away from shops, restaurants, and sites. It was very clean and only one flight of steps to the door. Since the street is so narrow, the buildings across are very close and block the sun for most of the day, which makes the apartment dark. The master bedroom mattress is in dire need of a replacement. I would have rated the property even lower for this reason, but the location still won out on the rating. Finally, bed linens were not quality and towels were also poor - cheap and thin. The second bedroom does not have a window and the bath (shower especially) and kitchen are very small. I would be torn about staying again until upgrades were done with bedding or price was adjusted downward to reflect overall appeal.
