Doble victoriana construida en 1890 en zona segura y tranquila. 1-1 / 2 cuadras de boutiques, restaurantes, cafeterías; Alimentos integrales; farmacia parada de autobús, todo en la famosa revista St. Camina hasta el parque / zoológico Audubon o el tranvía. 15 minutos en coche del barrio francés. Gran lugar de desayuno 7 puertas abajo.
Nuestro vecindario está lleno de arquitectura histórica, es divertido pasear y ofrece una verdadera experiencia local. No se puede superar nuestra ubicación. Además de lo anterior, hay incluso un spa de día, un estudio de pilates y un biobar a poca distancia.

Great little magical spot!

Loved the neighborhood - the CUTEST little street with Octavia Books right down the street if you're into books! Bed was cozy, water pressure in the shower was so good, super spacious inside, great porch out front! The host was so sweet!

The sweetest house in the sweetest neighborhood

Quiet, spotless, comfortable, charming, with a kind and helpful host. This is not for the rowdies; this is for people who want to enjoy a beautiful neighborhood in walking distance to restaurants and shops and Audubon Park and Tulane. We will return!

Visiting family

I grew up in the Uptown area and we returned to visit family. Excellent location close to WFs and PJs. Ate a Sabo, so good. Walk to and around Audubon Park. Glad to meet our host and chat on the front porch.

Extended stay

I have stayed at the Magic Cottage before for an extended stay. It is an easy place to feel at home-tasteful accommodations and a great location. And the owner/host goes out of her way to get to know her guests, without being intrusive.

The Magic Cottage was Magic

This uptown cottage was a perfect get away for 2 people. Great living space, useful kitchen, adorable back garden and fountain, and a nice little front porch where we could sit and chat. The neighborhood was cute and it was a short walk to restaurants, a market, and public transportation. And last but not least, host Julia was awesome. We hope to be back soon!

We were totally delighted with our stay at the magic cottage to the point that we have recommended our friends to come there. The comfort of this house with its typically Louisiana feel is perfect and the neighborhood is enchanting. The owner Julia is kind and gave us excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this accommodation

Charming Shotgun house in a quiet, picturesque nieborhood

The house was well-kept and clean, with a nice back area to relax in the morning. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and walking distance to Walgreens and Whole Foods. Music and restaurants are nearby neighborhood, and it is a short drive to the tourist areas in the city. Julia was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

One of Our Best Stays Ever!

We loved the property; it was exactly as described. So clean. Nice wood floors. Cute neighborhood. I had my morning coffee outside on the Adirondack Chair every morning. Many friendly neighbors passed by and said hello. And often Julia ) the VRBO owner, who lives next door) would pop out and say hello. I always enjoyed chatting with her. By the end of the week, she felt like an old friend. The VRBO was very comfortable, with lots of nice little touches. For example, there were a couple of small vases with fresh cuttings of greens. I also liked the artwork. The entire place was very tastefully decorated. One of the nicest VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. And I’ve stayed in many! If I ever come back to New Orleans, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. What a wonderful stay.

Best location for a quiet get away

Lovely house, everything was just perfect. Parking was available right in front of the unit. The house very clean, beautifully decorated. Kitchen had all cooking items we needed, including citrus juicer, toaster and a kettle as well as Brita filter pitcher. It was also nice to have some condiments in the kitchen, like spices, olive oil, mustard etc... Very comfortable bed and great pillows! AC/heating unit was excellent as well, quickly heating the house on a cold morning. We also really loved the outdoor space. It was simply magical, with grapefruit tree, flowers and a fountain . The location of this house could not be more perfect. Very safe neighborhood and just gorgeous houses all around. Grocery shopping, restaurants and cafes are just around the corner! The unit is about 20 min walk to the tram if you want to get to Downtown New Orleans, so you don't need to worry about driving anywhere... All is accessable on foot or the tram. The property manager was very attentive to all our needs. We were very happy with our choice and would recommend this property to anyone traveling to New Orleans!

Magic at the Magic House

My husband and I loved staying here! We had a family birthday weekend (Halloween weekend) and the location was perfect for all of the parties and restaurants. It is a beautiful house and Julia was wonderful with anything we needed. She even lent us cool costume hats to wear to a private party at Arnaud's. It was an enchanting vacation!

Beautiful comfortable property

With its backyard patio and high ceilings this apartment is a perfect place to stay in New Orleans. It was beautiful, and well appointed and clean. And the host, Julia, was very friendly and easily available whenever anything was needed. It was a great experience, we will go back.

Truly Magical

The Magic Cottage truly lives up to its name. The house is very comfortable, decorated with New Orleans touches, and the backyard garden is like something out of a storybook. Julia, the host, was very conscientious and a great communicator. The location was perfect for us, as we were in town to visit family living less than a mile a way; however, it also is an excellent location for access to restaurants and iconic New Orleans sites. This was one of the best stays that we have had in New Orleans.

Great location, charming home, nice host

Cottage just as shown in Vrbo photos. Julia was friendly and helpful host, but not in your face. Super-safe-feeling, slightly bougey neighborhood. Walk to Audubon, Freret, Tipitina’s, Shaya, Bon Temps. WF, decent dive bar 1.5 blocks away.

Wonderful property and location!

We loved staying at this property. Great safe neighborhood and dog friendly area. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants, shopping, and the street car. Our host Julia gave us a great orientation to the area and was wonderful in responding to our questions. We would definitely stay again!

Fantastic Host - Great Neighborhood!

We stayed at the Magic Cottage to celebrate a big b-day in New Orleans, and it just so happened that I had a b-day connection with the host’s family. We had a great time in this sweet little neighborhood that was conveniently close to parade start routes (a very family friendly, quiet location, but close to transportation to livelier locations). We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

You will be hard pressed to find a better local New Orleans experience. My location cannot be beat and I personally work hard to enhance your experience in any way that I can. I know New Orleans like the back of my hand.
