Great location

Perfect location for exploring. Apartment is well equipped and comfortable. Stairs are tough for someone with a fear of heights but we did get used to them. Glad we only had backpacks to contend with.

Great apartment in heart of historic district of Alfama in Lisbon. I rented a car for our Portugal adventure but failed to get clear directions for parking as several towns are pedestrian only. Bruno was very responsive in suggesting the cruise port parking lot. When we finally reached the apartment the stairs were very steep as described so be prepared. But worth the climb!

Beautiful property and perfect location

The unit was beautiful, and Bruno, the owner was very accommodating. The unit was clean well stocked and had all the amenities that we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to stay there again in the near future. Five stars!

Your apartment is in a fantastic location. We had no difficulty getting around steps were a little challenging, but we knew that the security of the lock once we figured out left open right lock was great would definitely stay again. Thank you for being so responsive And helpful

It was incredible...

We stayed with two ladies in this apartment and it was amazing. It would be not problem to be there with 3 to 4 persons. It is perfectly located in old Alfama district and you can reach everything very easily. The apartment was very clean, is well equipped and with a lovely interior. Bruno was a great host. He is very responsive and very helpful. We definitely recommend this.

The Alfama experience

The small back alleys of Alfama confused the enemy back in the day but fortunately the modern smartphone has an app for that! The apartment is great but checked luggage loaders beware…the staircase is steeeep, especially after the first landing. My family accepted the carry on luggage only challenge this trip, so for us it was easy enough getting our bags up there👍 The apartment has everything you need and more and is well located to enjoy the local restaurants, coffee shops and sights. We really enjoyed our stay at Bruno’s Alfama flat and can highly recommend it 👍

Disappointing Old Town Unit

We booked this unit for 5 nights and we’re so disappointed in the unit we didn’t say. The unit says it was heated but was totally inadequate and was 10 degrees at best. Unit is tired and stairs are ridiculous steep and down right dangerous. Was extremely disappointed with Bruno, didn’t meet us at the unit and never responded to us when we messaged to say we weren’t going to stay because of lack of heat. Beware, lots of other options, keep looking.

The apartment is beautifully located and cozy, but we encountered some management issues that made us uncomfortable.Communication with the host, Bruno, was difficult at times. Before booking the place I confirmed with him that we could check in early, as our flight landed early. He told me that it’d be okay, which led me to book it. I didn’t receive any word from him after that, until I messaged him a few days before to confirm the arrangement. It took him more than a day to tell me that he wasn’t sure about the early check in and that he’d need to confirm with the housemaid. Due to the confusion, we had a bit of a rough arrival in Lisbon.The apartment is on the second floor. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but the stairs are very steep. If you’re planning on bringing relatively heavy or large bags, be prepared for the climb. Inside the place is pleasant. The room is spacious, and we managed to fit another two people in the accompanying beds. The washroom didn’t come with body wash or shampoo, which meant we had to go out and buy some. It came with a coffee machine, but no coffee pods. There’s a lack of care when it comes to the apartment and the needs of the guest. It served us well for the two nights we stayed, but I wouldn’t come again.

Appartement typique dans le coeur du quartier Alfama

Belle expérience dans le quartier Alfama, proche du coeur de la ville de Lisbonne. Le seul inconvénient était le stationnement de l’auto et de transporter nos valises jusqu’à l’appartement mais je pense que c’est la norme dans cette ville! Beaucoup de services et restaurants dans le quartier, près de la gare aussi. Très proche de l’eau. Appartement très propre et facile de communiquer avec le propriétaire.

Amazing location!

Bruno’s apartment is spacious, adorable and extremely well equipped. The kitchen was great, the beds comfortable and everything was clean. I loved the old town area but was a little put off when the Uber couldn’t go to the door. After being there you understand but it was awkward at first, trying to find tge right place. I would 100% return and would highly recommend

Comfortable apartment in great location

Apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 adults but they must be able to navigate a couple flights of very steep steps to get to third floor. Missing some conveniences - shampoo, laundry soap. Also communication was somewhat challenging.

Nice apartment for the physically fit

The apartment is clean and bright and surprisingly quiet. Kitchen and bathroom are nicely renovated and clean. The location is interesting but it is a little bit isolated from the rest of the city. Requires some walking to get to metro stops, etc. Bedrooms are on upper level, bathroom is on the lower level. Some tips for nearby restaurants left in the apartment would be appreciated. As many reviewers mentioned, those stairs are formidable.

Appartement situé dans un quartier vivant, mon préféré à Lisbonne.

Facilité de contact avec le gérant immobilier qui repond très vite aux messages. Informations claires et précises pour l'arrivée. Attention toutefois aux escaliers pour accéder à l'appartement non adaptés pour personne ayant des difficultés de mobilité. Nous avons passé un bon séjour :)

Alfama during June festivals.

We were expecting, but surprised at the steepness and narrowness of the staircase leading to 2nd floor. We managed, but elder travelers or those with large luggage should not stay here. We loved the quant Alfama neighborhood and getting loss through the narrow alleys and staircases. We were pleasantly surprised at the 1 month Saint Festivals occuring in the alleys. Music may have been loud and late at night, but WoW we loved it. Very close walk to Apolonia metro/train station, Jorge castle, and everything in the city center. If you like action, culture, tradition, great food, great sangria, bifanas, ginja, etc.... this is your spot.

Comfortable stay

Great Central location. Very active nightlife! We were glad that Bruno brought our suitcases up the narrow flight of stairs to get into the apartment. Overall a very comfortable stay... Would stay here again if I find myself in Lisbon.

Good experience in Alfama

Really liked our choice in the Alfama - the apt had everything we could have wanted. I was especially happy with the dressers in both rooms, as well as other ample closet space. This is almost always a problem for me as I haven’t yet mastered the art of packing light. (75 years of age). The steep steps in this place (and my husband’s reaction) ay have cured me though! Was so impressed with Bruno’s quick responses to my messages, always was there!
