Perfect for Porto

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The view is wonderful, and it has everything you need to be comfortable. Our host was very friendly and communicative, and made our stay easy and convenient. It’s located a short walk from the city center, and surrounded by beautiful views. Beaches are a short drive or bus ride away as well. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would happily come back!

Great location and perfect for 2 couples

Apt. in great location, walking distance to all things Porto! Right on the Douro River. Host responsive and helpful! Met us at the apt. even though flight arrived at midnight! We did need to stock kitchen with Coffee, napkins, paper towels but otherwise full kitchen. As our stay was only 3 nights did not use kitchen much. Certainly met our needs! Excellent value for the $!

Ideal time in Porto!

We had a great time in Porto. We were fortunate that our stay coincided on the last night with the Festival of São João. It was a wonderful atmosphere and lots of fun. We look forward to returning! The apartment is in a great location and includes a parking space if you have a rental car like we did. We’ll be back!

Good location, wonderful host

This property is close to the Sao Bento station, making it easy to get around. Our hosts were very prompt in replying to all our questions. Also, it was great that they arranged for us to be driven to the Campanha station when we left.

We could not have asked for a better experience than we had staying in this apartment. We were met upon arrival and given a tour of the apartment as well as a, “lay of the land” for the surrounding area. A large book as well as a digital resource full of recommendations was also provided. The apartment itself is beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. Major sightseeing locations are within walking distance and Uber/taxi service is easily obtained for longer distances. During our stay, I fell and broke my foot. I could never say enough about Tiago and the extra lengths that he repeatedly went to to assist us with medical care and mobility issues. This is a top notch VRBO in every aspect!

Porto stay

Although I had booked this place for 2 nights stay, my phone wasn't getting messages nor calls. My husband, who also has a VRBO account, doubled booked us with another place in Porto which he received that message that I assumed was the one I had booked. We did not know about this mix up until we arrived home this week from our trip and saw our banking account with VRBO. I am surprised that 2 places were booked on the same dates using the same banking information. We would have never stood anyone up if we had known about this error and apologize for the lack of communication on both our parts.I'm sure if we had stayed there, it would have been a good experience.

Good location and comfortable apartment.

We were very pleased with this comfortable apartment. All the conveniences were available and using YouTube we Yankees could figure out how to use them. Great view of the river and the bridges. Close to the historic district.

Modern appartment in downtown Porto

We were warmly welcomed with precise directions to the apartment and given a tour upon arrival. We also received many excellent suggestions for activities to do in Porto and the surrounding areas, both north and south. The apartment is quite modern, closely resembling a hotel suite. It was clean, well-furnished, and the inclusion of a dedicated indoor parking spot was greatly appreciated, especially considering the difficulty of street parking in August. The apartment is conveniently located near all major attractions in Porto, with most being within a maximum of a 15-minute walk. Additionally, it offers a pleasant view of the Ponte de Luis and the Monastery. Please note that we visited during a heatwave, and as indicated, this unit does not have air conditioning. It was quite hot, even with all the fans running. Moreover, since it is on the first floor, we noticed some noise from neighbors (such as footsteps and dogs), and the neighborhood can be somewhat loud, especially during the weekends when the windows need to remain open to alleviate the heat.

Great apartment in a great location

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment. It is located almost at the center of Porto, we could walk to a lot of places from the apartment. Private parking in the garage of the building wa a huge plus. We left our car there in a safe and secure place. 10 minute walk from the apartment and you are in the center of everything. Apartment is spacious as well. Highly recommend.

Modern Touch in an Historic City

This apartment was well equipped and had everything the four of us needed. Plenty of space too. It has a beautiful view of the river and bridge from the patio. Fans were available for every room. The garage parking spot came in very handy. Tiago was helpful in finding wonderful places to eat and responded quickly whenever we had questions. We loved Porto. For us it felt more relaxed than Lisbon. It has a great mix of old and new. We enjoyed the small cafes and the people were lovely. We would definitely stay at this apartment again.

Great View

The apartment provides an expansive view of the Douro River and across to Gaia/ Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar. Good location for walking all over the city. The little Mercado up the street was very convenient/ friendly. The cafes just down the street where mostly locals go provides great views, very good traditional food / beer /wine for a great price.

Owner cancelled 48h before departure. VRBO provided zero help and assistance. Big financial loss for us. Be careful if you are thinking about this property.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Appartement in zentraler Lage.

Wir haben uns in diesem sehr gut ausgestatteten und sauberen Appartement sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage ist sehr zentral. Alles (Bäckerei, Supermarkt, Einkaufsstraßen, Douro) sind fußläufig gut und schnell erreichbar. Bei Fragen hat der Vermieter schnell reagiert und nützliche Infos gegeben. Porto ist eine Reise wert und das Appartement hat den Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkomnen.

We really liked this property. We particularly liked the fact that the owner supplied necessities that some don’t. Simple things like coffee, paper towels, laundry detergent. But there was also a small grocery near by where we could get supplies we needed.

Great place

The apartment was great. Location was close to the bridge and a short walk to the busy areas while being quiet. Beautiful view of the bridge and monastery. Kitchen had everything you would need for meal prep. Host met us, which I liked. It’s nice to have a friendly face when checking in to answer questions. And then she was helpful by text with suggestions about touristy ideas. The place would be plenty big for a family or group of four friends.

Appartment in bester Lage

Schöne Wohnung in der Nähe der Kathedrale. Gute Ausstattung, sehr hilfreiche Vermieter - besonders gefallen hat der Blick auf die andere Douro-Seite. Sehr hilfreich ist auch ein Abstellplatz fürs Auto.
