Everything was amazing from start to finish. Responsive, thorough host - provided a wealth of information! Fantastic staff: shuttle driver, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, wait staff at every place we ate/drank. Gorgeous/clean pools, great view, beautiful rooms, location/proximity and even laundry service!!! We were all so very impressed and hope to return. Many many many thanks to everyone! :)

Really incredible Vrbo space -- don't hesitate to book if this is on your list. Dawnita's condo is tastefully decorated, incredibly spacious, private, comfortable, and functional. You will easily be able to recharge here while leaving from GC's dock to any activity you might want to do. Best place I have stayed in Belize, and the owner-related touches of this condo are a big reason why.

No detail went unnoticed, we appreciated having beach bags and a cooler to use! The beds were so very comfortable and the condo itself was beautiful! We’ve been coming to the island for 20 years and this was our first stay at Grand Caribe.

Vacation in Paradise

Our stay at the property was wonderful! The place was exactly as described and pictured. Extremely clean and comfortable. The host was communicative and helpful. She helped set up transportation from the mainland and answered questions promptly. The location was ideal in that we could easily get into San Pedro or the Secret Beach. The services at the resort were exceptional including the daily housekeeping and laundry included in the rate. I highly recommend this property.

Belizean Paradise!

The PERFECT vacation spot! Traveling as a family of 4, with two teenagers. The home was exactly as advertised; clean, well appointed, and stocked with everything to ensure a relaxing stay. The grounds at Grand Caribe are astonishingly beautiful and the service was simply outstanding. Everyone we encountered was friendly, informative, and so very kind. The sargassum (algae) covered most of the beach properties we saw, but the crew at Grand Caribe worked tirelessly to remove it, which was greatly appreciated. Dawnita was an incredible host, providing helpful recommendations for restaurants, excursions, and places to explore. We had a wonderful experience with White Sand Dive Shop (night snorkeling was a highlight!) and wonderful meals everywhere in San Pedro. This was a vacation my family will never forget. We hope to return one day to to make more memories.

Incredible Spring Break

I highly recommend staying here. Service is excellent. The owner, Dawnita goes above and beyond on communication. One day she sent an update on the wind direction, how that affects the sargassum with the suggestion on which beach and pool to check out due to unexpected high winds. Along with weather link to follow. It was a great surprise and great advice. The condo is beautiful, very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the location is fantastic. I highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to go back!

Wondeful vacation

We had a great stay at the Grand Caribe! The resort itself was beautiful and well positioned and our daughters very much enjoyed the complimentary paddle boards. The unit was very well equipped and Dawnita was exceptional about communicating before and during our trip to mmake sure we were wll prepared and that everything was going smoothly.

Great Condo at a Great Resort

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this condo in Belize, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I booked, the property owner was incredibly communicative, ensuring that all my questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. This level of attention made the entire process smooth and stress-free.Upon arrival, I was greeted with exceptional customer service at the resort. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to assist with any needs or inquiries, making me feel truly valued as a guest.The location of the condo was excellent. It offered picturesque views and a serene atmosphere. It was also near many great restaurants and not far from town. Overall, this condo provided an unforgettable experience, combining excellent communication, top-notch customer service, and a stunning location. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Belize!

Impressive and Wonderful

This property was one of the very nicest we have ever stayed in a VRBO. It was spotlessly clean and the service was over-the-top. My husband and I had the room with the king bed and I will say without hesitation that it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The linens were heavenly. Daily housekeeping kept everything tidy and were in and out very efficiently. The laundry service (which was included as part of our rate) came in very handy and we felt pampered. My friend and I visited the spa - her for a massage and I had a pedicure. Lovely, serene space and we agreed that this was an excellent amenity.Before we even arrived, we received great information on local restaurants which was very much appreciated. The resort also handled our inter-island flights and picked us up at the airport and managed our bags. Again, (I am running out of adjectives) excellent, excellent service.We will definitely return to the Grand Caribe. It truly deserves its fine reputation.

Wonderful Thanksgiving getaway!

We loved spending our Thanksgiving at the Grand Caribe-the condo was PERFECT. We traveled with our two children, ages 4 and 8 and they enjoyed swimming and yard games everyday. Definitely a family friendly resort. Thank you, Dawnita! Can’t wait to travel to beautiful Belize again soon!

Family Dive Trip

The property was as described. Nice touches like laundry and daily cleaning. The resort set up all of our dives ahead of time and everything was so smooth. Definitely rent your golf cart from the resort as they take care of all things like the fee for going over the bridge. We had absolutely no complaints and is one of the best vacations my family has take .

Holy 25!!!!!

Just returned from our trip to San Pedro. My husband & I & our good friends went together to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary’s. What can i say…. It was perfect! Our host, Dawnita, could not have been better!! She started with giving us many great suggestions. We also faced an unexpected storm & Dawnita accommodated a few extra days for us to make up for the bad weather days! We strongly recommend this property- the condo, the Grand Caribe & their staff are absolutely fantastic!!!n

Very good service and beautiful place

The service is great. The host is very responsive. Location is good and the condo is nice and roomy. Would love to see more trees on the beach side of the resort to chill besides the pool areas though.

We have stayed at dozens of VRBO’s all around the world and this has been one of the best of the best. The condo and the condo complex is absolutely beautiful. The owners are so incredibly helpful. This was our first time to Belize and they made getting to know the island so much easier.

We had a fabulous stay!

Dawnita is one of the best hostess' we have had the pleasure of working with. She was very responsive and attentive. The condo was perfect! It has just the right mix of amenities vs the cost. It's also located in a great area w/easy access to town or to secret beach. We have stayed in the sister property - Sunset Caribe in February and we loved everything about it as well except we were on the lagoon side. The Grand Caribe is on the ocean side and has a magnificent view!! Mosquitos were pretty bad on the island after all the rain, so I recommend taking sunscreen. San Pedro is one of our favorite places to visit and Grand Caribe is one of our favorite places to stay on the island.

Dawnita is an amazing host and went above and beyond to accomodate some changes in our travel plans! She was very communicative and responsive to all of our questions. The detail e-mail provided in advance was very helpful in planning our trip, picking tours, etc. The home is beautiful with updated and charming decor, all of the kitchen amenities you would need, along with a fabulous location right by the beach, pools, and dock for excursion pick ups! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Daughters college graduation trip

Grand Caribe is the place to stay on the island. The location is perfect. The resort is very clean. The restaurants are great. Took my daughter who just graduated from college for her graduation gift. We had a fabulous time and look forward to coming back.

Beautiful condo! The beach, pools, everything was amazing. Everyone was so kind. Marine life was so fun to snorkel in off the beach and did an awesome day snorkeling trip with Captain Sheldon with Fishing King Belize! Incredible!

Condo was a great way to relax during down time from the pool or other activities. Perfect location on the GC property. The staff made the visit like home. Dawnita the owner was very responsive with emails. She had many suggestions for activities and places to eat.

We traveled the Caribbean and found that after a while every island started to look the same, with their Diamonds International, and thatched roof Starbucks - that is until we visited Ambergris Caye.

The waters surrounding Ambergris Caye are too shallow for cruise ships to dock, thus the island has escaped becoming the tourist traps that many have succumbed to.

Our small island is home to only 22,000 people, and every restaurant, shop and tour is owned and run by local people with a friendly Belizian flaire that you won't find anywhere else. There are no chains or franchises, just wonderful, eclectic local gems to be discovered as you explore the island.

We loved the fact that Belize is English speaking and the U.S. dollar is accepted just like the Belizian dollar at a rate of 1 USD to every 2 BZE, which makes it super easy to pay for dinner!

After some research we discovered that Grand Caribe is the nicest resort on the island. Grand Caribe is truly a five star resort with top notch staff who want nothing more than to make your vacation one you'll remember for a lifetime. When we travel, we like to treat ourselves to the best, and that's why we purchased our home at Grand Caribe.
