Cottage dans la belle et chaude pierre, avec un total de 300 m2 (160m2 + 140m2 de maison de cour), idéal pour l'été ou l'hiver. Grand séjour avec cheminée, salon et salle à manger avec TV par satellite avec 70 chaînes, d'un accès Internet, DVD, vidéo TV par satellite, Wii avec des jeux, des jeux traditionnels Salut Fie. Il dispose de 3 chambres avec de la pierre sur l'affichage et le plancher de bois poli. 2 des chambres ont des lits doubles (1 en mezzanine de 50m2 avec salle de séjour) et 1 avec 2 lits simples. Il dispose de 2 salles de bains et cuisine rustique entièrement équipée.
Le patio dispose d'un jardin avec beaucoup de plantes et de fleurs, une petite piscine privée, douche et barbecue, avec une intimité totale, étant entièrement clos. Il dispose d'une salle à manger avec table et chaises et chaises longues.
Il a une belle vue sur le village et est très ensoleillé de Mars à fin Octobre.

We loved our 12 days at this beautiful home! Rui and Mila were terrific! Great communication. The home had everything we needed and more. Beautifully decorated. Enjoyed the garden and neighborhood. We are looking forward to returning!

Lovely rural cottage

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this nice lovely cottage with its unique rural style and design. The host is extremely friendly and always helping with any requests. The welcome basket is absolutely amazing – we just loved to reenergise ourselves after a long trip with the delicious local treats. The area around is nice and calm – perfect for a family get away and taste the Portuguese style. We found everything we may need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Séjour en famille

Rui et sa femme, accueillent leurs hôtes avec plein de bienveillance et de bonne volonté. Maison située dans un petit village calme (avec une épicerie et un bar), située à une dizaine de minutes de l’autoroute A8. Les supersmarchés se trouvent à 20 minutes dans les alentours. Location pratique pour des visites vers Péniche, Lisbonne 1h, Sintra, Mafra, vignobles etc.. Maison calme, spacieuse et très bien équipée pour un groupe de 6. Tout est fourni. Possibilité de garer la voiture dans la cour. Rui sera entièrement disponible et à l’écoute pour toutes demandes.

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft

Hübsches rustikales Ferienhaus, komplett privater, nicht einsehbarer aber etwas kleiner Garten mit kleinem sauberem Pool zum abkühlen. Auto kann gesichert im abschließbaren Innenhof abgestellt werden, Platz für nur ein PKW, vor dem Haus keine Abstellmöglichkeit. Zufahrt etwas sportlich durch kleine enge Gassen😁. Lage zentral in kleinem Dörfchen, aber dennoch mehreren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in kleinen lokalen Geschäften, insgesamt sehr angenehm untouristisch. Fahrtzeit zur nächsten Stadt Lourinha mit Strand und mehreren Supermärkten ca. 15 Minuten, Auto unbedingt erforderlich, nach Lissabon etwa eine Stunde. Haus ist gut ausgestattet, Mikrowelle, Spül- und Waschmaschine, Gasherd mit Backofen, 2 WCs. Sehr nette Begrüßung durch das Gastgeberehepaar, auch weiterer Kontakt bei Fragen sehr schnell und freundlich, sogar ein Begrüßungskorb mit Obst, Brot, Käse und Wein war vorbereitet. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, vor allem zum Surfen und um die tollen Strände zu genießen, Atlantik ist allerdings sehr frisch selbst im August, für kleinere Kind auch aufgrund der Wellen eher ungeeignet. Bei schlechtem Wetter gibt es auch ein paar Sightseeing-Spots in relativer Nähe und natürlich ist Lissabon auf jeden Fall einen Ausflug wert.

Wohlfühl Urlaub!!!!!

Schon der Empfang durch Rui und seine Frau war sehr herzlich. Der erste Rundgang durchs Haus, bei dem uns alles gezeigt wurde, hat uns sehr gefallen. Zum Willkommen gehörte auch Verpflegung ( Brot, Käse, Obst, Wein) für den 1. Abend. Super! Als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge z.B. Nazare, Mafra, Lorinha und Obidos ist es sehr gut gelegen. Sowohl Haus als auch Garten waren hervorragend ausgestattet so das wir uns mega wohl gefühlt haben. Die Kommunikation mit Rui war eine Freude, da sie schnell und unkompliziert war. Wir empfehlen dieses Haus zu 100 % weiter. Vielen vielen Dank für die schöne erholsame Zeit die wir dort verbringen durften.

Historisches Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet

Der Empfag war überaus herzlich, überraschend auch die "Erstausstattung" mit einem riesigem Obstkorb, Wein, Wasser und Orangensaft, Brot und Käse, herrlich! Das Haus ist überaus stilvoll eingerichtet mit Antiquitäten und auch allerlei Repliken. Man merkt, dass die Gastgeber hier manchmal selber wohnen.... Bei der Ausstattung mangelte es an nichts. Allerdings ist die Freifläche recht klein: das Auto muss mit rein, weil auf der Strasse kein Platz ist. Dann drängen sich dort noch ein MInipool (sehr gut!), vier Liegen und ein Tisch mit 6 Stühlen. Sogar eine kleine Rasenfläche ist noch da. Macht aber nix, man ist ja den Tag über unterwegs. Fazit: empfehlenswert.

Konfortable Unterkunft in guter Lage

Schöner Aufenthalt in altem Gebäude mit viel Charm. Netter kleiner Garten mit kleinen Pool zur Abkühlung. Ausflugsziele für erreichbar: Strände, Peniche, Nazare, Obidus, Fatima,... Netter kleiner mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Pastelleria, etc. Wanderwege in der Nähe. Sehr freundliche Vermieter.

Dream holidays

I and my wife and friends went to “Jardim Secreto” ( Secret Garden)! It’s a surprising magic place, a wonderful house whose kind and nice owners were waiting for us! They’re really cool! I remember we were very tired and starved but I think they guessed it: in the kitchen there was some bread, wine, fruit juices, milk, cheese… as if we were their family who was just coming! So, as soon as we arrived…we felt at home. The house itself was beautiful, amazing and welcoming! It had everything we need to spend some relaxing times: dvds, network, traditional games, swimming pool, among other offers. It was decorated in a romantic style and its details were in every corner of the house what made us feel that love was on the air… We stayed in the upstairs bedroom from where we could enjoy the view over the old village: a typical beautiful place with many stone walls and old streets, some of them crossing the fields where we walked and admired the nature. In the charming courtyard there were many plants surrounding the swimming pool where we plunged after taking relaxing sunbaths. The kitchen was well furnished, we had everything we needed to cook. Rui and Mila (the owners) had let some goods to us (precious!) The locals’ sympathy touched us, too. The butcher and the marketers were especially nice. We enjoyed also the beaches which are near the village (Paimogo and Baleal are the best) and the good dinners of fish in Peniche will remain in our minds. I’m sure of it because the fish was the tastiest we had ever eaten. What can we say: it’s a house that we recommend to every guy who likes a quiet and charming place for enjoying all the seasons of the year and where we’ll come back soon. Ok, Rui and Mila? Perfect holiday stay!

Situated in the smalltown village of Reguengo Grande you will find the lovely cottage Jardim Secreto. A very warm welcome of the owners Rui and Mila make you feel at home immediatly; a fruit basket, bread and some local delicacies and drinks as a welcome gift! Wow! They took the time to give sightseeing tips. The house itself is well equipped with everything you need. ( linen change and pool cleaning weekly!) Privacy guaranteed! A rental car is necessary, but the beautiful villages of eg, Obidos, Caldas da Rainha and beaches are nearby. Our 5 year old daughter enjoyed the swimmingpool every day.(children can play safe in the garden) So ..we have spent a lovely 2 week holiday in 'the Secret Garden'!....... Thank you Rui and Mila for your hospitality!

Quiet place for a perfect holiday

Beautiful house and cozy with an amazing decoration. The hosts Rui and Mila always available and very friendly. A spectacular weather that allowed us to know the wonderful beaches around, particularly the beach baleal where children had fun to surf. We loved visiting Obidos and Berlenga Island. We came on the recommendation of our friends and we will also recommend. We'll be back for a bigger vacation. See you soon.

Beautiful House

A beautiful house to spend a restful holiday in a quiet and romantic environment. The house with stone walls. The weather was not perfect, but even helped because we spent some beautiful night by the fireplace. During the day, with sunshine, is very hot because the yard is very sheltered and sunny. We took a good bath in the pool and patio shower. The village has a bit of everything and the people are very welcoming. Rui and Mila received us with all the affection and we can not forget the fruit, cheese, bread and wine were offered on the first day. A sympathy. The house was equipped with everything we need. Perfect house, nice surroundings and great owners

We (two couples with three children= stayed a week in May, the house, host and location were great! Beautiful house, everything you could need. Location in a small town, but still a quiet country feel. Close to great hiking trails along coast. Owners very friendly and cooperative, would return anytime and recommend highly.

A house and location full of charm and character

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Cottage in Ruengo Grande. Mila and Rui are perfect hosts who greeted us with a basket of fruits, bread, cheese and a bottle of wine. While the weather wasn't accommodating the house didn't leave anything to be desired. We loved cuddling up in front of the blazing fire place with a glass of wine (which was swiftly and constantly refilled). The house itself is tastefully decorated and I just love it's quirky features and exposed stone walls. It is only a short 10 minute ride to the beach (we went frequently to Seixal) as well as to Obidos. We also did day trips to Lisbon and Sintra which were just an hour down the road (note that there's toll on the motorway; we paid 4.85 EUR and 4.90 EUR each way). To sum it up: We'll definitely be back. Thanks, Mila and Rui, for a lovely stay in your Secret Garden Cottage. :)

Romantic and Lovely

We are a couple coming from Denmark and we love this house for its charm its beauty and inner peace we gather here on our vacation. The romance was a constant, on winter evenings with a glass of Portuguese wine watching a good movie sitting by the fireplace close to my husband. We could not have chosen better. We were greeted by Rui and Mila, very friendly and helpful owners, that gave us a welcome basket with so many delicacies that made us feel so good and so welcome. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped, and we preferred to have dinner at home so we can make the most of this lovely house. Portugal is a very beautiful country to visit even in winter, once the daytime temperatures are hot and sunny days. The garden is very romantic and we got tanned, even without being in midsummer. Our bedroom was amazing…so romantic and so comfy. We just loved it, and we will return for a second time, for sure.

Memorable holidays

We are a family of 6, with two twin children, and 2 teenagers. Having decided to do our holiday in Lisboa area, we choosed “jardim dos segredos” as our accommodation, which exceeded by far our expectations. The place is very peculiar with stone walls and a very beautiful and private garden. The twins could be outside at all times, even without our supervision. The swimming pool is suitable for young children, and quite refreshing for us to. The sorrounding area is absolutly magnificent, with almost private beachs (only us and a few families more in August,...can you believe it?) The roads near the house have one of the best landscapes I have ever seen. Rui and Mila are the perfect owners. Always very friendly and very professional, and very helpful. They gave us a lot of sight seeing tips wich we found to be great Will we be back? Certainly! Thank you."

Highly recommended

We stayed at this house for two weeks in September 2012 and enjoyed it very much. Facilities: - spacious living room, convenient furniture, large flatscreen TV, hifi system, several music CDs and DVDs available. Also some books and board games. - well equipped kitchen with sufficient supply of spices, herbs, some noodles and stuff for the first days. We were also surprised with a fruit basket and a bottle of local red wine. - Three bed rooms, one with two singles, and two with double beds, one of them upstairs in a studio like room. All of them have moskito nets and closets (linen changed weekly). - Bathroom with bath tub, toilet and washbasin. All very clean and provided with nice and soft towels (changed weekly). Additional small restroom available. - Beautiful garden with lots of flowers and plants and a small pool (1.4m deep, about 2m wide, cleaned weekly). Nice charcoal BBQ pit. - Village with small fresh market and super market, post office, bakery, and simple restaurant. Only very little public transport, own vehicle highly recommended. - Several beaches about 10-15 minutes away, next bigger town to dine out is Peniche, about 20 minutes. Lisbon can be reached in 45-60 minutes. We can only recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a quiet and relaxed time in Portugal. Mila and Rui do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible!! We will definately consider this place should we decide to come back again. Thanks again to Rui and Mila, Cristina & Matthias
