Wer diese Wohnung mietet, muss wissen, dass sie im EG liegt, sehr niedrige Decken hat und dadurch erdrückend wirkt – als "elegant" kann man sie wirklich nicht bezeichnen, die Fotos sind sehr schmeichelhaft. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist in Ordnung, jedoch fehlen Weingläser. Und bei der Sauberkeit gibt es noch Luft nach oben (Dusche, Regalbretter im Badeschrank). Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

We had a wonderful stay at Luciano's home. It is very clean and better than the photos. Luciano has been extremely helpful. I really enjoyed the neighborhood. It is super quiet and residential, and very close walking distance to the market and many shops and restaurants. I like that it is away from the crowds of the main Center. I am a mature woman who stayed here with a friend and we felt very safe here. You can walk to the main center within 25 to 30 minutes and Venice is amazing to walk around no matter where you are. We captured so many beautiful photos of the exquisite architecture. It's a very peaceful home. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. I highly recommend.

Great location with some lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Luciano and Loriana were very welcoming and the boat trip from the Vaporetto stop to the house was an unexpected treat.

Spacious ground level apartment in a very charming part of Venice. It was quiet and peaceful and a good amount of space for our family of four.Host was punctual for check in and had good advice on restaurants in the area

Good location, but needs new beds

Location was very good and host was kind and helpful. He even came to the vaporetto stop to pick us up. The beds - especially the queen bed - were in bad shape and needed replacement. Bring able to sleep is an important factor for most, I would guess. The place had some charm and was well-stocked, but there were some strange smells in the bathroom. Perhaps this is just a Venice thing as plumbing must be challenging. In the end, the only reason we wouldn't stay again was the beds.

Stay in Venice

If you want a more quiet stay this is a great location. Luciano was a great host- met us at the water bus stop and showed us the place personally and gave a few great tips/recommendations. It was comfortable and had everything we needed however had a strong musty odor that other guests have mentioned. We weren’t there during the day much at all, so we didn’t have the opportunity to try and air it out.

We had an amazing time in this quiet Venetian neighborhood. Luciano was so kind and the apartment had everything we needed. The area felt very safe for our family and there was great food nearby. We recommend this place to anyone with kids or if you want to be in a quiet area of the city where you can feel the spirit of local Venice alive (and escape all the crowds!).

Quaint Part Of Venice

Ferien am Arsenale

Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Stadtteil Castello, 5 min. vom Bienale gelänge oder dem Arsenale entfernt, unweit der Garribaldistraße. Sie ist praktisch eingerichtet. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt, die Wohnung ist für 4 Personen groß genug. Der Vermieter Luciano hat uns an der Vaporetto Haltestelle abgeholt und eingewiesen, der Tipp mit der Gastronomie vor Ort war Gold wert. Er bietet eine 3 Stündige Bootstour "kostenfrei" an, wenn man eine Woche bucht, leider hat er vorher nicht gesagt, das er im Anschluss doch 50 für die Bootstour berechnet.

Ruhige Lage

Die Wohnung liegt etwas am Rand von Venedig aber dafür sehr ruhig und schön. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants etc. Mit dem Vaporetto ist alles schnell erreichbar. In der Wohnung ist es - typisch für Wohnungen in Venedig im Erdgeschoss - etwa dunkel und ein bisschen feucht. Sonst ist die Wohnung aber schön und gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, Kommunikation auf englisch oder (besser noch) französisch.

Experience Venice like a local

Luciano and Lucy's ground level flat was an excellent home base in a quiet residential area close to a park, a water bus stop, and some excellent restaurants. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 and we enjoyed the cosy feel. There was a stale odor that aired out after leaving the windows open for a day - possibly because we visited in the off.season and had been the first guests.in a while.

charming apartment at the garden

We enjoyed our stay in Venice being close to the town centre in a calm residential neighbourhood. The house has all necessary for the stay and is clean and very well organized. The showers are great, the bedding is clean and the mattrasses are perfect.
