One bedroom attic apartment with panoramic views across Lake Lugano.
Offering a perfect escape for a dream holiday, a honeymoon to remember, a base to explore the surrounding Italian Lakes or simply a luxurious space to kick back and relax. Residenze Valsolda is located in the quaint Italian village of San Mamete, just five minutes from the Swiss Border.

This cosy (approx. 55 M2 / 545 Ft2) one bedroom-one bathroom top floor apartment will sleep 2 people. The apartment has wooden floors with traditional Italian beamed ceilings and Juliet balconies (standing only - no space for seating) from all rooms over-looking Lake Lugano. The apartment has been interior designed by a top Milan design studio and furnished with bespoke Italian furniture offering guests a comfortable, sumptuous and stylish accommodation.

The open plan lounge/diner has comfortable seating for four and is equipped with Flat Screen HD TV, satellite receiver, home theatre system with iPod dock and an extensive DVD library. The luxury fitted kitchen comes with modern appliances such as induction hob, combi oven/microwave and grill, fridge/freezer, coffee machine. Range of quality utensils are also supplied. The bedroom has a large comfortable bed with high quality mattress and plenty of storage units. The bedroom also offers one of the best views of the Lake Lugano and San Salvatore. The wet room has a walk in shower, marble counter top, toilet and bidet. Bed linen, towels and basic toiletries are included in the cleaning fee and for convenience there is also a shaving socket, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board. The apartment has central heating for winter months and ceiling fans for the summer (in Lombardy use of central heating is only permitted from November to March).

There is an elevator in the building and the communal areas are very well maintained with Italian Carrara marble flooring throughout. The villa also has a private dock that provides guests with direct access to the Lake for swimming with an outdoor shower facility. The dock itself is reserved for the private use of owners and not available to guests for sun bathing. A further well maintained communal dock/beach is open to public only 150m from the Villa and is a good spot for taking some sun. There is also a public swimming pool and shower at this dock/beach.

Die Lage direkt am See ist traumhaft. Auch die Möglichkeit, direkt vom hauseigenen Steg in den See zu kommen, ist ein Traum.Die Wohnung ist mit allem Wichtigen ausgestattet, alles sehr sauber. Unsere Ansprechpartnerin Sara hat uns immer sofort zurückgeschrieben und alle Informationen gegeben, die wir brauchten.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The property was beautiful and nicely decorated, right on the lake. Any questions we had were immediately answered by Sara and Max or Samik. Some instructions for the TV might be nice and perhaps also for the stove. Over all we enjoyed our stay very much and the small town of San Mamete.

...mit guter Küchenausstattung. Netter Ort - am Ende der Welt. 1x wöchentlich Schiff, 5x täglich Busverbindung. Nette Bar, guter Bäcker/ Alimentari. DG-Wohnung, nicht klimatisiert. Aufenthalt auf Privatsteg von den Eigentümern nicht erwünscht.

Een mooi appartement met een heel mooi uitzicht over het meer. We hebben hier echt genoten. Jammer dat er geen “echt” balkon is, maar op de steiger kun je ook mooi zitten. Neem wel stoeltjes mee, anders moet je op de steigerplanken zitten. Voor koffie even kleine coffeecups meenemen, anders moet je eerst naar Porlezza. Plaatselijke winkel heeft deze niet, maar heeft wel lekker brood. Er waren maar 2 badhanddoeken en geen theedoeken/vaatdoeken. Wel extra gekregen, nadat we er om gevraagd hadden.

Rundum perfekt!

Sehr saubere und schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, mit wirklich tollem Ausblick. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen, Samik war sehr hilfsbereit und hat Fragen immer zeitnah beantwortet. Wir waren rundum zufrieden!

Location de charme, dans un environnement parfait

Très chouette location. Petit appartement confortable, parfait pour 2 personnes. Nous avons grandement apprécié le ponton privé pour se baigner. Le lac de Lugano est moins peuplé que les lacs Majeurs et de Come et donc d’autant plus agréable, mais ces 2 lacs se visitent très facilement à partir de San Mamete. Toutes commodités à Porlezza (10 minutes). Très bon accueil de Vittorio, du caffe del viaggiatore, où il est très agréable de prendre un café ou de diner tranquillement le soir. Nous recommandons fortement, en saison, de louer le parking chez Vittorio. Très pratique et zéro stress pour trouver une place pour la voiture. Environ 100 mètres de l’appartement. A noter que le loueur de bateau Nautic Shop sur la route de Porlezza est moins cher que ceux des lacs de Come et Majeur. Location sans permis permettant une superbe balade sur le lac. Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite. A recommander.

Fabulous location

We loved our stay in San Mamete. The flat was clean and well-equipped, and the views are stunning. I did a fair bit of research before booking, and I think it would be hard to find better (or even equal) views for the price. So much to see in the local area (Castello was a particular favorite), but also a lovely place to relax and do very little. Being able to go for swim in the lake directly from the private dock was a real treat. Lots of options for eating - dinner lakeside at Hotel Stella d'Italia was wonderful, and the bread and pastries from Maurizio's were delicious. Had several meals and watched football at Caffe del Viaggiatore, lovely food and good fun. Also enjoyed great pizza from Pronto Pizza in Porlezza. Samik was very helpful with info and suggestions - one of which was renting a boat from Giuliano at Gobbi Rent in Cima, fantastic fun! Overall, we had gorgeous scenery, delicious food, and fabulous weather. Very much hoping to return at some future point!

Tolle Lage im verschlafenen Nest!

Wir haben einen erholsamen Ort gesucht und gefunden. Die direkte Lage am See erlaubt einen unbezahlbaren Ausblick bereits beim aufwachen aus dem Bett. Das Appartement ist sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Die Lage ist zwar direkt an der Durchgangsstraße, aber durch eine Umfahrung herrscht kaum Verkehr. Einzig der fehlende Parkplatz sorgt für Probleme und man muss kreativ werden. Öffentliche Parkplätze sind vorhanden, waren in der Hauptsaison aber häufig komplett belegt.

Gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Habe allerdings Gesamtkosten angefragt und die Reinigungskosten kamen erst nach der Buchung hinzu. Wohnung liegt sehr schön direkt am See.

Gelungener Urlaub

Wo soll man anfangen? So stellen wir uns einen klasse Urlaub vor. Tolles Appartement in einer Top Lage, gehobene Ausstattung zu einem Top Preis. Alles hat uns gefallen. Die Unterkunft direkt am See , der schon so oft erwähnte Ausblick, ein wunderbarer und entspannender Urlaub in einer fantastischen Umgebung. San Mamete ist ein typisches Italienisches Städtchen mit viel Charme. Die Einheimischen sind sehr hilfreich und nett. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge rund um die Italienischen Seen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit und können dieses tolle Appartement auf jeden Fall wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Fantastic apartment with amazing views

What a beautiful apartment with the most amazing views from the balconies in both the lounge & the bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need & having English TV channels was an added bonus as it was sometimes nice just to sit & relax in the evenings when you got back exhausted after long days out. San Mamete is a great base for exploring the surrounding lakes and driving into areas of Switzerland which are beautiful. It's a small village but it has everything you need and we enjoyed our time in the Kings Pub with the locals ! We had a fantastic holiday and the apartment and location made it perfect, thank you Samik. Keith & Julie Francis

Our stay in San Mamete

We had a lovely holiday in San Mamete. The appartement was absolutely beautiful. Everything you might need was available. The view over de the lake is very very nice. The village San Mamete is small and quiet, but Porlezza and Lugano are only ten minutes drive away. Our vacation was PERFECT!!

Fantastisch zwemmen ,fietsen en wandelen

We hebben twee weken genoten van de rust van het meer van Lugano voor de deur. Heerlijk zwemmen en in de omgeving fietsen, wandelen, winkelen en gezellig eten met prachtige views. Één groot feest!

Breathtaking view!

Wonderful view as all the other people say und beautiful nice small village. We enjoyed the home cinema quite a lot! Also, Vittorio's a nice place with reasonable prices for the food! The furniture is very modern and the kitchen well equipped. The bed is with the best view you can get. There are good hiking trails and it is a good location for excursions, nice restaurants, and beautiful cycling trails. Nice building with a quiet atmosphere! All in all, a good place for hoiliday!

Views of beauty with wonderful memories to cherish

What a special place! Modern, well equipped and clean. Views from both windows are ones that you never get tired of. Large bedroom with large closet and comfortable bed.....no two twin beds pushed together. The owner is quick with all responses. Vitto who hands over the keys is there with any questions we had of the apt or area. Even arranged transportation for us to the train station when we left as we did not have a car. Next time we would rent a car if we stayed a longer period to explore the area. However for the 4 days we were there we did not need one. There is a small public beach /dock a short distance from the apt. which we used daily for a swim. A well equipped grocer is also a few doors down to stock up with foods stuffs/wine. There is also a wine store. We enjoyed special meals (lunch or dinner) at Hotel Stella D Italia which is also close by. The restaurant is beautifully located close to the water edge with a arbour to dine under. The staff are there to please. Even cooked Gluten Free pasta for me. We enjoyed taking the ferry to the apt when we arrived. This would be a wonderful romantic place to bring someone special. We hope to return. Next year maybe?....I dream. My wife and I live just outside London in a semi rural location and work in the City in Financial Services. Life in the city is fast paced and we enjoy the hustle and bustle that comes with being close to a truly cosmopolitan world city. Work is demanding so when not at work we enjoy unwinding with our many friends in some of our favorite locations. Ideally it would be a place that has a balance of peace & quiet, breathtaking scenery and with easy access to good bars, restaurants, shops, galleries and theatres.

The Italian lakes offer a heady combination of spectacular scenery, grand villas and gardens, beautiful quaint villages in time warps, warm and friendly local people, great food and easy access. It has all the ingredients that make super holiday for us.
Having visited several times as tourists we fell in love with Lake Lugano. Finding San Mamete and Residenze Valsolda was completely accidental and unplanned, but we could not let such an opportunity pass us by. Even after all these years, our hearts still skip a beat when we first arrive for our holiday and ache when we say goodbye to San Mamete. This place has truly cast its spell on us.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Each of the Italian Lakes has its own character. We love Lake Lugano for its intimate and unspoilt feel. It is centrally located to explore nearby Lake Como and Lake Maggiore. Milan, Como and Lugano are three beautiful chic cities with all that we can ask for.
San Mamete is one of the prettiest villages on the Lake with its own fabulous bakery/grocery store, lively pubs, great restaurants and pretty much all amenities. You could simply relax in San Mamete without setting a foot outside the village or use it as a base to explore the Italian Lakes.
Residenze Valsolda is set directly on the lake with staggering views across to San Salvatore and Lugano from all the rooms. The villa is very well maintained and the apartment itself is cosy, sumptious and well equipped. Letting was never in mind when we started the refurbishment so all furniture, gadgets, fixtures and fittings are of a standard not usually associated with rental properties.
