Set among orange,lemon and eucalyptus trees, a beautifully made estate comprising of two semidetached stone villas, offers the perfect place for relaxation!The villa is designed, built and furnished with extreme attention to detail, in a child-friendly environment yet offering high quality living.

The beautiful stone villa comprises of two attached wings, each featuring fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room. There are six en suite bedrooms all together, two located on the ground floor and four on the first floor.
The large swimming pool is complimented with poolside terraces, sunbeds and umbrellas.For large groups or families travelling together, the superb villa is offering immense space and discrete privacy without missing out on companionship.

On this ground level, there are two large double bedrooms with en suite shower room.
On the first floor, there are two large double and two twin bedrooms, each with en suite shower room, large terraces with comfy furniture and views to the White mountains and the fertile plateau of Armeni.
The sandy beach and village of Kalives is located within a fifteen minute walk or a very short drive and to the south side of the villa, village Armeni with its renown tavernas and cafes is just 500 meters walk.

Overall great, and easy walking distance to tavernas and beach. Helpful host in providing taxi numbers etc. not overly modern but still nice!

Orchard Villas

Two villas attached, ideal for a large family. Six bedrooms all with ensuite was a bonus although the showers were small. Pool was lovely and kept very clean. Overall standard of each villa was excellent with lots of kitchen utensils/glsses etc. Slight downside was that the road to the local village where there are excellent tavernas, was busy with no pavement, 15 minute walk. On the whole we very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it, car is essential to get to local beaches.

Fantastic property in a great setting . These are not moans but slight points . Slight road noise as near to a small road semi blocked out by the crickets . You will need a car or as we did use a great taxi called Mihalis next to the flower shop he’s great speaks very good English . You are 1km from a small shop and restaurant , it is not walkable at night . Going into Kalyves by taxi is 3 mins , go to mistrali restaurant as we did great value , excellent service and amazing food . Fab Holiday

Family holiday

The villa is in a fantastic location with lovely gardens and a huge terrace with sunbeds. The views are fantastic. We hired cars which were useful for getting to the beach and into Chania. We were a family of mainly adult couples, so the ensuites were useful. They were all on the small side however. The children enjoyed the swimming pool but it was unheated so they were unable to stay in for a long time. The owners/agents were very helpful when a 'Sahara' rainstorm coated the patio, garden furniture and swimming pool with orange sand. They came and jet washed the affected areas and vacuumed the swimming pool 3 days running. There is another house being built next door so the pool was, on occasions, overlooked by builders. In view of this the owners allowed us to stay in the villa, on our last day until 3pm, when we needed to leave for our flight. This was a big help.

Kalyves Orchard Villa

Fantastic holiday, great property and pool area. Terraces are also fantastic for sunset drinks Kalyves is a great little town with lovely, inexpensive beachfront restaurants and bars Armenoi is a gorgeous little village with a lovely deli cafe, church and two absolutely fantastic restaurants Points to be aware of They are building another villa in the grounds of the property (to the right as you look at the building) we had to have words with builders to get rid of them as they tried to start work one morning. We cleared it up relatively quickly but still shouldn’t have happened. The road the villa is on is quite “fast” (not too busy but busy enough ) doesn’t impact when in the villa or pool but as there are no footpaths walking at night isn’t an option so taxis/car required It is a super villa though and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay Wifi is also very very good which is obviously a must if you are travelling with teens

Nice but a bit dated and not particularly child friendly

Nice villas (2 semi detached) but quite dated and a nice sized pool. Odd set up if sharing but worked ok for the12 of us. Stair banisters were very wide and dangerously not child safe at all. Petros advised that there was plastic netting that could be put up but disappointing and worrying this wasn’t done before our arrival as we had several small children in the party. Not sure why this hasn’t been permanently addressed before now. The pool was nice but many of the small tiles were missing and some caused small cuts when ‘discovered’ the bottom of the pool. There was no umbrellas or shade by the pool only under the area where the dining tables were located. There was also not child friendly crockery (plastic) or beakers. Bathrooms are very small and some showers and shower doors need mending or replacing. It seemed like there had been a lack of investment for a few years from the owners

Dear Paul, Thank you for your review, we are sorry that none of the issues you mention below were brought up during your stay, except for the children's safety nets which we sorted as soon as you asked. It would be helpful in any future reservations that you make a note of children ages (in your booking, to start with we had 6 adults and then you emailed us for 6 children). Obviously the two in baby cots would not use the stairs. Plastic crockery would have been provised this is very helpful and we will ensure that both kitchens are stocked with these , thank you for mentioning. The six bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, and yes, the showers are the standard size but this unfortunately cannot be changed, we will have the shower doors checked again in case any need adjusting. The villa is described as being two semidetached theree bedroom villas, which works perfectly for 12 (as 12 is never one family, it is either related families or friends). The back grass gardens are perfect for children of any age and mst of our guests have small children, however, as it is the case with all villas with pool, the pool area can never be defined as child friendly as very young children have to be under supervision while around or in the pool. Once again thanks for pointing out some improving details which we will take care of.

Meget dejligt hus. Senge bør dog forbedres

Alt fungerede godt og der var de ting man har brug for i huset. Dog bør de fire værelser med dobbeltseng have separate dyner, lagner og tæpper i stedet for bare et, hvis man skal sove ordentlig.

Tolle Villa, etwas außerhalb, aber gut zu erreichen. Klasse Pool. Villa sehr gut ausgestattet. Zwei voll funktionsfähige Küchen. Einige Mängel im sanitären Bereich. Auch der aktuell stattfindende Hausbau nebenan war noch akzeptabel. Wir würden wiederkommen.

What an absolute amazing Villa. It was just perfect for what we wanted. The location was great and we have fallen in love with Kalives. We have stayed in Almyrida before so it was nice to have some time back there as well We found a brilliant taxi company who were excellent at recommending us places to eat. It was our sons 13th birthday while we were there so we had a trip to a water park which was brilliant. There was a bit of miscommunication with the cleaning in the second week. However It was all sorted very easily and the owners gave us a late checkout and sent us a lunch delivery as an apology. All in all a great holiday was had by all. Perfect Villa. Perfect location. Perfect holiday.

Family getaway

A beautifully designed and spacious property, extremely well equipped with many home comforts. Easy access to beach and restaurants, but would recommend the use of a vehicle, due to the extreme heat in the summer and roads that have no pavements for pedestrians, which makes walking an uncomfortable business. There is an amazing swimming pool, which means that it is not always necessary to go to the beach. A few technical difficulties that occurred were soon ironed out with the helpful owners and property manager. This is certainly a place we would be happy to return to.

Schöne und gemütliche Familienvilla mit grossem Pool

Die aus zwei separaten Häusern bestehende Villa ist eine perfekte Ferienunterkunft für zwei Familien. Etwas ausserhalb an ruhiger Lage. Grosser, sauberer Pool. Grosszügige Terrassen mit ausreichend Liegestühlen und weiträumiger, umzäunter Garten ums Haus, in welchem die Kinder spielen und herumrennen können. Gemütliche, grosszügige Wohnräume auf 2 Geschossen. Jedes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Alles sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Mit Fahrzeiten zwischen 5 - 20 Minuten sind diverse Badestrände mit dem Auto erreichbar. In 5 Minuten ist man im nächsten Dorf mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Vermieterin Ariadne und ihr Team sind äusserst hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Wir haben unsere 2 Ferienwochen in Kreta in dieser Villa sehr genossen und können diese Ferienunterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an Ariadne & Co!

Excellent villa

Excellent villa for two families staying together. Fully equipped with everything needed. Lovely pool and within easy walking distance of Armeni village and a longer walk into Kalyves. Very useful visit from Sandra who gave us lots of local information and tips. Would recommend and come back again.
