This barn was stylishly and sensitively converted in 2008. Guests regularly comment on how well equipped it is; please read reviews. It sleeps a max of 4 persons in twin and double rooms. The garden boasts a vast 14m pool with electric security cover. It is part of a larger property nestled in a rustic setting about 2 km from the village of St Puy. Surrounded by farmland and wooded area, this peaceful location is perfect for unwinding, relaxing and enjoying one of the most celebrated gastronomic areas of SW France. The interior has been equipped to a very high standard whilst also retaining many of the features from the 1850s structure such as original openings and beautifully restored interior stone walls. The living room is vast with beautiful views. The kitchen is superbly fitted and equipped to a very high standard. Bedrooms are spacious and the King Size bed will not disappoint. There are some garden games and a good selection of bicycles in the garage which may be borrowed. Wifi throughout.

Hospitality: A welcome pack of essentials can be arranged as can a meal on the evening of your arrival.

We had a fantastic week in a brilliant gite in the perfect location for exploring Gers. Everything was as advertised and the hosts Val & Nick were very helpful. Can't speak highly enough of the place.

Hidden gem in beautiful, peaceful area but still with plenty to see and do. Would definitely return and recommend. Nick and Val were perfect hosts and made our time at their beautiful gite even more special.

Relaxing holiday in the Gers

Another really relaxing holiday in this lovely part of France. This is the third time we have stayed in this gite, it suits a family of 4 perfectly. Comfortable, clean and well equipped with a fantastic pool. In easy reach of lots of attractions - picturesque villages, swimming lake, roman ruins, quiet roads for cycling, there is something for everyone. Hopefully we shall be back next year.

St Puy Gite

The area was amazing. The gite was basic but fine. The pool was fabulous. As it was so hot fans were needed but not provided. We were disappointed that the bikes were not available whilst we were there. We had a fabulous holiday and found a lot of lovely gems to visit.

Thank you so much for this review. The area is amazing, for sure. I am very sorry that bicycles were not available, but we have let these slip a little, as so few people have used them of late. We have never had the gîte described before as “basic but fine”. Without exception, former guests have commented on how very well-equipped it is and comfortable - certainly not basic. I can only imagine that after a 3-week stay a degree of familiarity might well breed a little contempt.

Lovely peaceful stay in the Gers

We had an absolutely marvelous stay! The guest house is very well appointed for a family of four. It was neat and tidy and the perfect accommodation for our 10 day visit. The hosts are lovely people and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The converted barn is attached to the main house and is beautifully renovated. It feels very private with a separate entrance and patio area with direct access to the beautiful well maintained pool (shared use with the owners). Our children loved the pool and we used it almost daily during our stay. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and explore the beauty of the Gers we highly recommend!

A brokken holiday

All above is correct, but I in hospital in Toulouse must of the time - Nick and Val were extremely helpful in whatever way - the fact that I am a live to day, lies greatly on them - best of love to Nick and Val in my hospital bed ❤️❤️

Spacious, comfortable gite for four, terrific pool

This is a spacious, beautifully designed and restored gite, in a peaceful location in a very lovely part of France. The local village of St Puy is alive and full of character; the area abounds in history and architecture, with innumerable walks through the countryside, not to mention the fois gras, and the pousse rapiere. Plenty of excellent restaurants within a ten mile radius; definitely try the one in the village. Day trips to the Pyrenees are a must, and easy to access. Not so the beach - it's a long drive, but you don't come to St Puy if you want to stay by the seaside, and you have the huge pool. The gite is really well maintained, and the owner was very responsive to our needs.

Beautiful property with fantastic pool

We’ve just returned from a week at this property. Nick was an excellent host and made sure we had all the information we needed both in the property and the surrounding area. His knowledge of the area is really helpful. The property is exactly how it’s listed. Very spacious for a family of 4 and plenty of thoughtful additions. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The indoor areas are fantastic but the outside areas are just perfect. The little seating area outside the door in the shade is great for breakfast and the views are fantastic. The pool is absolutely fanatic and huge for a private pool. Our girls loved spending time in the pool and I enjoyed actual swims in a good size pool.

Location très agréable

Très bel endroit, belle maison bien arrangée dans un bel environnement. Superbe piscine. Tout a été parfait (à part le frigo qui est si petit qu'on ne peut pas y ranger un saladier mais c'est un détail). Les propriétaires sont réactifs et n'hésitent pas à vous satisfaire en cas de demande particulière.

Gite correspondant à la description, trés calme et cosy sauf qu'il n'y a pas de TV comme stipulé mais un écran. Amelioration : chauffage salle de bains ( serviettes) necessaire en Mars. Alentours avec plein de beaux villages à visiter.

Magnifique séjour à Saint-Puy

Nous avons vraiment passé un super séjour ! Maison et piscine superbes, Nick et Val étaient d'une grande gentillesse et tout le temps disponibles . La région était propice à de belles balades à vélo. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

découvrir le Gers

Très bien situé pour de belles découvertes, et toutes commodités dans le beau village de St Puy tout proche. Un bel accueil et une belle propriété avec sa grande piscine, rien ne manque dans ce beau gîte. Reposant et calme aux chants des oiseaux.

Un séjour dépaysant et très agréable.

Je recommande fortement ce logement. Un cadre idéal pour retrouver le calme et la nature. Un grand merci à Nick et Val pour l’accueil et l’hospitalité ! La maison est grande et spacieuse, avec une vue sur la piscine ( très grande) et une terrasse disponible pour des dîner en toute tranquillité. Déconnexion assurée. Un havre de paradis avec le charme à l’anglaise.

A relaxing journey

The house was perfect for a relaxing week in family ! Nick and Val were lovely and available when we had questions ! The house is on nature, we saw savage animals in front of the window, and the pool is really big for swimming ! If you want a relaxing journey in a lovely house, don’t hesitate ! Le principal atout est cette grande piscine, la maison est grande , confortable et fraîche même quand il fait 35°dehors. C'est une adresse que nous retenons.

Peace and quiet

My husband and I stayed at the gite for a week from the 7th-14th October. We were in the area for a wedding. It was a lovely relaxing stay. It’s very rare we can get away from it all. No internet or tv, just lazy days around the pool, glorious sunshine, which we weren’t expecting in October and a huge choice of dvds to choose from on an evening. Comfy bed with a fantastic view of the stars at night with no light pollution to spoil it. Countryside views as far as the eye can see. Plenty of books to read to pass the time. On our last day we went for lunch at Le Florida,(about 15 minute drive away) which was fantastic. Well worth a visit. Nick, the host was lovely and very quick to respond to any questions that we had. It was my first visit to France but hopefully not my last!

Lovely peaceful location and spacious house

Extremely quiet location with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are roomy with very comfortable beds. The living room is vast! The pool was “fresh” but perfect for refreshing our legs after cycling. There was always hot water for showers and we were very grateful to be able to use the garage to store our bikes. We would love to return and explore more of Nick’s cycling routes.
