The Parkside Marina Vista, located in the heart of Funchal is a stunning, hi-tech modern penthouse apartment. It has 4 spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a great open space dinning and lounge area, Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout, and a climatized pool (daily supl & minimum of 5 nights). Large verandas overlook the city centre and the Santa Catarina Park. Double glazed windows ensure total tranquility.

It is a home away from home, where simplicity is key.
Just 5 minutes by foot to the La Vie shopping centre and the Marina, about 10 minutes to the old town, and with easy access to the highways, the Parkside is definitely the place to stay in.

Check in times are from 16h. In the event of availability, early check ins are possible.
The supl fee for late arrivals from 22h00 to 00h00 is 20,00€
The supl fee for arrivals after 00h00, is 40,00€

Check outs are until 10h00. In the event of availability, a late check out can be possible.

Great family vacation stay

Renting this apartment was the best decision. Comfortable, spacious, clean, and modern. Great amenities, including an awesome terrace with barbecue and pool. Great location, next to a shopping mall and close to the city downtown.

The apartment was beautiful and in a prime location. We had some minor hiccups (bedroom door handle broke with door closed and locked, lightsbulbs were burnts out, gas for grill was empty) but when we called the management company they responded immediately and fixed all issues. We could not have been happier with the apartment, location and communication. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic Apartment and Location

What an amazing apartment, four of us stayed for a week an thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The MHM management team were fantastic with all our questions answered promptly. Great central location, a little noisy but not a problem.

Amazing apartment

Luxury, spacious apartment in a central location close to restaurants and shops. It was exactly as per the pictures and description. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

A great apartment in the heart of the city, cafes bars, restaurants all walking distance. The apartment is fully equipped with everything that you need. My only issue was the check-in time as this is not told until you arrive. And there was some serious damages to the wall, which we were not informed when we checked in.

Week in Paradise

The property is exactly as presented. The only thing that you need to know is that two of the bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The pool is right at the end of the bedroom hallway making it very accessible. The finishes are all top of the line and the apartment was clean and well maintained. The only downside is that due to the location, there is quite a bit of street noise from traffic below. The location is excellent with a shopping mall right across the street with a nice grocery store on the lower level. The marina and waterfront is a 5 minute stroll. Overall, we were 5 adults and everyone enjoyed their stay. I would definitely book this again when we return to Madeira.

Luxury but NOT Luxury!!! NEEDS updating.

Its such a shame about this apartment as it COULD BE incredible. It needs a SERIOUS upgrade. The whole apartment is falling apart !! It needs EVERYTHING updated and then it could really be fabulous and extremely recommended able. As it stands the whole place is in NEED of some TLC and fine attention to detail. Toilets were like unrinals to sit on for a woman which made me very uncomfortable and the showers need an upgrade as they are so old. EVERYTHING is OLD and over used. The All FOUR bedrooms had NO TVs at all which i found extremely strange as Familys with children have NO options for that. ALL beds need to be upgraded and bedrooms thought out a lot more, attention to detail REALLY MATTERS to keep people coming back. I felt like my trip was nothing but stress as i needed to change everything in order to feel comfortable and at ease a bit.

Awesome Location and Great Apartment

Stayed here for 15 Days in August 2023. The apartment was great and is in perfect part of downtown Funchal, right across the street from the La Vie mall. There is a Pingo Doce supermarket in the mall, which we shopped at every few days or so (that was a big benefit). You can walk to the old part of town very easily (5-10min) and even walk to Lido (15-20min). The apartment is huge with big bedrooms, modern washrooms, and nice balconies with amazing views. On top of that, it had a private swimming pool which the kids took advantage of almost daily. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. My only criticism of the apartment building would be of the garage elevator, which was having issues almost daily in our second week. I parked at the La Vie mall on the last day to ensure we could get our car out and catch our flight. The management company met us at the apartment and gave us a few Maderian treats, which was very nice. Although, the management company didn’t provide complete instructions on how the garage elevator worked (both to get in and out of the building) so I had to ask a few people from the building for help. But they were very helpful! Since we stayed for over a week, the management company sent in cleaners for a refresh, which was very nice and very much appreciated. Overall, would definitely stay here again!!!

Excellent location

The apartment is spacious, clean and well decorated. It is also well equipped. The beds are so comfortable and clean. We slept quite well every night even with some noises outside, which is to be expected considering its central location. As a family of two adult children, we all felt comfortable being together or separately in the apartment. The location is so convenient for everything we need, such as supermarket, restaurants, airport bus for our son who has flown in from Germany to join us. If we ever go back to Funchal as a family winter getaway again, we would definitely like to stay there. Check that the light bulbs in every room are working. The ceiling light in the big bedroom at the far end of the apartment was not working but I could make do with just the bedside lights so did not inform you while I was there. Also, the batteries in the television controls need to be checked from time to time to ensure that the control will work.

En virkelig dejlig lejligheden, vil helt sikkert gerne til tilbage, dejlig udsigt og alt var næsten perfekt, det eneste vi manglede var, at når lejligheden er til 8 personer, vil det være rart hvis der var 8 solsenge ( der var kun 4 solsenge ) Men eller en fantastisk lejligheden med en perfekt beliggenhed. Kan klart anbefales

Lovely stay

We stayed at 3 adult couples for a week. There was enough space that none of us felt squashed. We had our own bathrooms, balconies. VIEWS! There was good internet and Netflix for rainy evenings, However we were blessed with really nice weather so the pool was used in November. Clean and lots of hot water for all of us to shower, really good water pressure. The location was perfect, I love this location rather then the hotel district. There was a supermarket across the road and numerous restaurants on our doorstep. Dishwasher and washing machine was so useful. Definitely good for large groups. I have already told a friend to book this, and may gate crash their holiday! MHM need to Introduce a loyalty discount for this one. Key was really tricky in the downstairs door, we found the code and used that instead.

Wunderbare Wohnung

Wir waren im Oktober zu zweit da und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Die Wohnung liegt so günstig, dass alles zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Die Stadt liegt direkt vor der Tür. Zum Supermarkt im La Vie sind es keine 2 Minuten. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und der Pool auf dem Dach ist ein Traum. Kleine Probleme wurden umgehend und sehr nett erledigt. Nun ja, die Wohnung liegt zentral. Es ist wirklich laut, aber das sollte bei der Lage eigentlich klar sein. Die Fenster halten den Schall draußen und man kann ungestört schlafen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Amazing apartment

The apartment was really big, very clean and in a great location. The area with the private pool is huge! we had 6 loungers, dining table and 6 chairs outside by the pool and still loads of space. We only had one query during our stay and it was dealt with immediately. It is minutes away from the marina and plenty of bars and restaurants. The supermarket is in the shopping centre across the road. The views are amazing, especially at night. Would highly recommend this as a great base when visiting Madeira. The dishwasher door seemed like it might be a bit broken as it is difficult to open.

Great experience!!

First of all, I would like to say what an amazing team Heliodoro at Madeira House Management has. From dealing with the wonderful, Gabriela, which I never met in person but feel she has become a friend, the cleaning staff, what amazing ladies, the pool staff another amazing crew. We became part of HMH family. We can't say any thing negative about this team. Due to COVID we had to extend our stay to 3 months. Heliodoro and Gabriela made sure that since we had an extended stay, that we had all we needed to make our stay feel like home, there was nothing that we needed or asked for that they didn't deliver. Even checking in on us when we had the major rain storm, leaving Madeira with no power, to make sure we were ok. Parkside Marina Vista, this was a great location, right in town of Funchal. If you stay here, you will not need to rent a car. everything is in walking distance. Markets, shopping, banks, churches, marina, tour company and of course restaurants. You won't even need a gym, plenty of walking up hill and parks for your other work out. This apartment is very large, it has plenty of space. We were only 2 adults, so more than enough space for us. I would recommend this apt. for 3 couples, girls get away, and a family 5. The pool is a nice touch for those hot Madeira days, but my favorite place was the backyard, where I spent most. We have traveled to Madeira 7 times, but never rent a house/apartment, but I must say this was diffidently the best way to go. the only negative that I have to mention about my stay, is that you have to understand that this is right in the city, and with that comes noice. There is traffic noice, late at night. If you are like my husband, you will need ear plugs for sleeping, I was fine and it didn't bother me. I would just invest in the ear plugs, the location is so worth it.

Spacious luxury apartment in a great city location

Plenty of room, modern style, private rooftop small pool, a sense of luxury. Great kitchen. Bath. Good showers and water pressure. The location is perfect for us - right in the city, across the road from La Vie shopping. Big TV for nights in. Comfy beds and suloungers. The kitchen is great but missing some obvious small accessories e.g. bread knife, colander, small pans, good oven gloves. We found the pillows too squashy - perhaps provide some different ones as spares in the wardrobes? Some people will not like the noise from the road (and the fountains!) - perhaps you can reduce this by more glazing?

The best experience I’ve had when it comes to a vacation rental

- The space was better than we expected from the photos. It’s very spacious. - The check-in procedure was easy and efficient. - Communications with the office were quickly answered. Minor problems were efficiently dealt with. - The apartment is very well located.

Great place!

Clean, modern & spacious apartment in which we enjoyed a lovely relaxing week! Thoroughly enjoyed the pool & being able to sunbathe on the rooftop terrace. Management company were very helpful beforehand and also upon our arrival to check us in.

Wonderful property in Funchal

We spent a week in this amazing apartment and loved both the property itself, as well as it's great location. The apartment is huge and equipped with everything thing you could possibly need. The outside spaces are equally large and the rooftop pool area is perfect for spending lazy evenings as the sun dips behind the mountains. The rep from management company was really friendly and welcoming and made our check-in process super easy. We would highly recommend this property, you won't regret it!
