Covid 19 cleaning and sanitizing protocols are in place and space will be blocked for minimum of 24 hours prior to your arrival for full cleaning and sanitizing.

Located in Big Indian NY, minutes from Belleayre Ski Center, Full Moon Resort and Spillian and within 1/2 hour of Windham and Hunter Mt Ski areas. In the heart of the Catskill Mts, 2 ½ hrs from downtown Manhattan on 3 + wooded acres surrounded by the Panther Mountain State Forest Preserve and walking distance to the headwaters of the Esopus River and nearby beaver ponds as well as personal hiking trail access from the property to Panther Mt. This comfortable studio apartment features a full kitchen, full bath w/ individual Jacuzzi tub, pocket doors on bedroom, A/C,/Heat, TV, Wi-Fi, In room safe, CD Stereo, Futon/Couch- full size pull out (located in the bedroom- NOT a separate room), within a renovated 1900's era hotel. Enjoy additional outdoor living space including a large wrap-around porch with BBQ gas grill, landscaped yard and gardens featuring several meditation areas, hammock, goldfish pond, organic garden, fire-pit and mountain views. Bird feeders and wind chimes help provide the sound track in addition to Great Blue Herons nesting on nearby Panther Mt.
Near Esopus River, camping areas, numerous hiking trails, including Giant Ledges and Slide Mt (highest peak in the Catskills), skiing, golf, antiques, auctions, art galleries, theater and performing arts centers, and world class restaurants.

Cute for a Home Base

It is a cute little apartment, but it's not the best place to just hang out. It's a fine place to use as a home base to explore the surrounding area, but we were only in the apartment in the evenings. The only place to be besides the apartment is the porch which isn't as inviting as it could be.

Warm and welcoming place

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Stephen’s place! It was very thoughtfully stocked with amenities including coffee, water, towels and all necessary toiletries. It was clean, comfortable, warm and inviting. It was the perfect size for our family and very close to Belleayre surrounded by beautiful nature with great views and a huge porch to enjoy!

Property was exactly as described - maybe even better. Apartment was spacious, clean, and charming. Kitchen couldn't be beat - well equipped, and I had no trouble cooking full out for my mom. Apartment was full of time-passers: games, cards, music, and an expansive and perfectly eclectic library. Property was well-kept and charming. Wonderful place to hide out from the city. Stephen and his mom were wonderful hosts. So glad to have discovered this gem. I will most definitely be back!!

Andy and Steve are great hosts. The apartment was fully equipped for cooking, not far from the main road and had a great porch. Not super fancy but if you're looking to chill and relax this is the place.
