We were in awe of Villa Amaltea. It was the perfect place to end our Italian vacation.
The villa is a bit tricky to get to, and is about a 10-minute drive from Amalfi, but after 7 days of walking around bigger cities, we welcomed time to relax at the villa.
The villa is composed of three separate levels of gardens, a pool, a vegetable garden with fresh peppers, tomatoes and more, lemon trees, hammocks, outdoor dining and sunbathing areas, and tables and chairs. It will take your breath away when you walk out, and each level becomes even more amazing than the last.
The bedrooms are all a good size and each bedroom has a bathroom to go with it, which was nice for our group of 8.
We utilized the owner's son as our private chef for two meals, which was OUTSTANDING. Check-in was easy and the owner, Maria, is lovely. The only downsides were that there is no indoor living area (besides a dining room table) for everyone to relax in, that you really have to have a private driver or some way of getting to the picturesque towns of the Amalfi coast, and that there is no direct path to the ocean (I believe the owner is working on refurbishing some old stairs).
We plan on returning because this villa will take your breath away.
We had a great experience booking with Summer in Italy and would do so again!
